Our experience with Scottish Rite was absolutely amazing. We got married October 11, 2025 and the event staff made the day so smooth. I did not lift a finger the whole day, and the staff is so sweet. Our event contact, Sarah, was there for every meeting, question, and by my side the day-of with my coordinator. Kahn's Catering went above and beyond and our guests raved about the food. Not to mention, the Kahn's staff thanked every single guest and broke down the room at the end of the night while removing decor outside of their required scope just to be helpful. Down to the ladies who work the security desk, we didn't meet a single person who wasn't inviting. Every guest said it was the most beautiful venue they have ever been in, and I have to agree. All other venues were quoting us astronomical numbers and had no available dates even almost 2 years out, and SRC had our PRIME dates to choose from while remaining less expensive. They helped guide our vendors, and the in-house chairs, tables, and catering made the planning process a breeze, down to me selecting each table orientation. Thank you all for your help!

We looked at a lot of venues in Indianapolis and Scottish Rite and Sarah blew us away! The venue itself is beautiful, they were so easy to work with, great communicators, and having everything in one place was great! I can't say enough positive things about our experience with Sarah, the venue coordinator. She helped us run the day and made everything so smooth, we had the best time ever on our day thanks to the team!

I've gotten to experience all sides of the events industry, from responding to your leads, to setting up your event décor, I want to make sure your day at our venue is perfect! My passion for weddings comes from seeing the smiles on your faces when you walk into your ceremony or reception space. Here at the Scottish Rite, my favorite moment is your first dance while guests are watching from over the balcony - seeing you two share this intimate moment and taking in what you've been planning all year, is the BEST!

cottish Rite, I was booking under the condition that no other event take place the day of my wedding. I had a feeling what could occur if that did happen. I was told that they would do that for me and was reassured that they would not book any other event that day. So I went ahead and booked my wedding venue. I was also told there would not be any Christmas decorations. My husband and I spent a fortune on decorating the place Christmas themed for our wedding. Two weeks before my wedding I did a walk through of the cathedral and there was Christmas decorations everywhere!!! I asked if they were staying up and they said yes, if you would like them to! How convenient after we spent all of that money. Anyway a week before my wedding I was told that an event was booked at the Scottish Rite the same day as my wedding and that I would have to be quiet when entering the Tiler’s room when taking photos. Fast forward to my wedding day after ceremony my bridal party and I were going towards the Tiler’s room (front entrance of cathedral) to take our main photos when I was told I did not have access to that room and could not take photos there!!! That is where my photos with my children were going to be as well as bridal party photos. I got none of the photos I dreamed of due to their selfishness! I later found out that they knew about this other event 3 months prior to my wedding. But I was only told one week before that I still had access to the room but would have to be quiet. On my wedding day I was told I couldn’t even go in there!! They walked myself and my bridal party outside in the cold around the building and along the street to take photos in front of the building. Despite all this, the wedding was amazing and the venue was incredible. The treatment we received on the day of the wedding was not.

event manager who was simply spectacular. She was extremely responsive, and made sure our every need was addressed and question answered. We held the wedding in the stunning theatre, followed by cocktail hour in the ballroom balcony and then reception in the ballroom. So many guests said "This was THE most beautiful wedding we have ever attended" and the venue had much to do with that. There is just beauty at every turn, and the picture opportunities are fabulous as well. We opted for a sparkler exit down the stairs on Meridian with a surprise horse-drawn pumpkin carriage awaiting - it was a perfect ending to a perfect day. We are grateful for a wonderful staff and such a beautiful space!!

The planning process was efficient and detail-oriented making sure we were covering all our bases, but also making sure we were spending our time effectively. Grace and the rest of the team are excellent at their jobs and made sure we had the absolute perfect wedding experience. This venue speak for itself. All of my guests were asking "How did you find this place?". My absolute favorite part of doing the first dance on the main floor with all of the guests over-looking on the balcony, truly magical. Could not have imagined a more elegant venue. Thank you for all the great work you did leading up to and during our special day!!!

and are still having so many people say that it was the most beautiful wedding they have been to before. When we booked the SRC over a year ago they started going through a lot of changes after we signed the contract. We were very nervous about it as they changed caterers, and some of the staff we had originally met with. However, we are SO glad these changes occurred. It was all so much better than it was before and the food was perfect. Grace who now works with the SRC is incredibly responsive and knowledgeable! They should not let her go! It was a perfect, perfect day.

ring the planning! The venue was completely beautiful, all of our guests LOVED it and thought we spent MUCH more than we did to have our ceremony there. One of the great things was that there was so much going on aesthetically in the theater that we didn't have to do much extra decorating (we added candles, an aisle runner, & 2 floral arrangements at the altar) to make it beautiful. I would absolutely use this venue again; A+ for service and location!!

building! I had joked with friends then (when I was, in fact, single and had no prospects for marriage on the horizon) that when and if I got married it would be at Scottish Rite. So when the time to decide on a venue came, I naturally looked at Scottish Rite first. I looked at a lot of other places but nothing else compared!! Scottish Rite is (in my opinion) the most elegant building in Indianapolis. We had our ceremony in the Theater and our reception in the Grand Ball Room. Our guests would later tell us that it was the most beautiful ceremony and reception they had ever attended! The Event Coordinator, Ashley was amazing! She was easy to work with and made our day seamless. She answered all of our questions and made sure our day was how we wanted it. We made some last minute changes that went off without a hitch thanks to her patience and understanding.... Also, the CATERER is outstanding. That was easily the best wedding dinner I have ever had -- our guests agreed! Certainly there are places that are less expensive than Scottish Rite. However, if you want to have perfect wedding -- right out of a magazine, I recommend that you spend the extra money..... If I could go back and do it all over, there is nothing I would change about the site, the food, the atmosphere....It was wonderful!!
