In my opinion, the venue sets the tone for your wedding and plays a huge part in how much your guests enjoy themselves- and I was aiming to please! The venue itself is beautiful and exactly what I was looking for. They are constantly updating it and adding new features, and we were so impressed on our tour of the place. What really sold it for me was the "Bridal Bungalow"- the adorable old farmhouse on the property were the bride and her girls can spend all day getting ready. You can also choose to spend the night there after the wedding, which we decided to do at the last minute. I'm so glad we did. After everyone is gone you are completely alone in this beautiful house on the river- peace and privacy you'd never get if you stayed in a hotel. I woke up very early the next morning-though we were told we didn't need to rush out- and was able to watch the sunrise over the vineyards and reflect on my wonderful wedding day. What we weren't expecting when we first toured Scribner Bend was how much we'd fall in love with the people, specifically Kelley. By the end of our tour and some wine tasting it felt like we were old friends. At one point she showed us a video of other weddings that had taken place there. Although she must have seen it a thousand times, you'd never know it. She oo'ed and ahh'ed as she pointed out couples- "They just came in to see us last week!" "Oh they're pregnant with twins now!" It felt like someone was showing us videos of her family and it really struck me how much she loves seeing these happy couples and considers them family even years later. We hadn't met anyone like that at any other venue we'd toured. The day of our wedding, Kelley and her staff were there for us every step of the way and could almost sense what we needed before we did. At one point my family took a break from getting ready to go out and try to quickly set up some last minute details, only to find that Kelley and her staff had taken care of it all. After the wedding my family could not stop talking with how impressed they were with the staff and how amazing Kelley was. And our guests could not stop talking about how beautiful the venue was. Another note: The type of people who make Scribner Bend so amazing can also be found in the tasting room. Let me just say: this is not an uppity, snobby winery. Every time we've ever been in to taste, it's like a party with old friends. It's clear the staff love what they do and who they work with and they love getting to share their wine with customers. My husband and I are celebrating our one year anniversary in a few days and we will be returning to Scribner Bend this weekend to celebrate.This place and its people are amazing and I can't thank them enough for making our wedding so perfect!

The beverage package is a little pricey but I'm pretty sure we got our moneys worth ;) For the most part they were easy to work with. There wasn’t always consistency and communication between the event coordinators and I didn’t get to meet my day of coordinator until the day of (which made me a little nervous) but in the end everything went exceedingly well. My only complaint was that I specifically told them I did not want cars in the parking lot during the ceremony. I stressed it several times and they assured me it would be taking care of. Low and behold, as I walked from bridal cottage to the ceremony site (across said parking lot) I passed a parked car. Luckily, it didn’t show up in my pictures, but it made me nervous as to how the rest of the night was going to come together. The answer…flawlessly :) They did a beautiful job and worked with my vendors to manage every detail. I didn’t have a thing to worry about. It was a wonderful event at a beautiful location. My guests were in awe, as was I.

om the wonderful customer service I have to say the grounds itself make the choice to have your wedding there easy! The grounds are perfect for any style. It can be easily dressed down for country-chic or dressed up for an elegant black tie affair. Also, the greenery and rose bushes add a lovely touch that will allow you to save hundreds on flowers from your florist.Another bonus, chairs are included in your site fee! It may not sound that great but if you look into chair rentals this really helps keep you on budget. My advice to couples who choose this venue would be to keep your decor simple to allow the vineyard to do the work of wow-ing your guests and Brides, rent the bungalow and get ready there with your maids! It truly made my day to eliminate the stress of getting ready off site. Plus, the bungalow makes for gorgeous getting ready shots with your photographer.

what food options you may choose, who your DJ may be but they also make those choices easy by giving you a preferred list of vendors and the day of the crew works together so you can concentrate on yourself. It was an AMAZing day at a gorgeous place along the delta and do not miss out on their bungalow that is available to rent for day of hair & makeup prep along with staying there after the wedding.

y time where there is really nothing on the vines. The ladies who worked with me throughout the process knew what they were doing and put me at ease. The cons to this venue is the bar price. Whether you do an open bar or cash bar, chances are it will cost you a lot of money. Also, communication between the venue and other vendors was a bit frustrating. I had to be "the middle man" and some things were lost in translation. Overall, this place gave me the wedding of my dreams. I highly recommend having your wedding at Scribner Bend!

It is a beautiful venue and it was definitely a great day that our guests enjoyed. And it was the greatest day for me and my husband that we will always remember.

Some venues really get you with using their caterer, there by being able to charge just about whatever they want per plate. The venue, itself, is GORGEOUS. It's kind of in the country so it's quiet. The river is on one side of the vineyard, so there's usually a good breeze. Our wedding was in Septimber, which seemed to be the perfect time of year. The grapes were big in visible, the flowers on the archers were in full bloom, and the weather was beautiful. I HIGHLY recommend this venue.
