d and made the two zoom calls we had with Lou go quickly. We quickly got a sense that Lou understood the music we and our guests would like (we are not a young couple) and he had great suggestions for songs to get everyone from grandchildren to seniors on the dance floor. Lou emceed the night perfectly and really knew how to keep things moving. He led us through the Shoe Game and Anniversary Dance and everyone enjoyed both of those. I'm not sure if all your DJ's are as good as Lou, but based on Lou's handling of our wedding I would highly recommend SE Events. PLEASE NOTE: The Photo Booth service fell short of 5 stars because the set up was all last minute on the day before and even day of our wedding.  We were told that the Photo Booth guy (don't recall his name) would call us one week before the wedding, but we never heard from him until my wedding planner chased him down and finally reached him the day before the wedding. I did not know what the customized photo strips would look like. The SE Events website shows different examples so it was not clear what I was getting until the afternoon before my wedding. We had a couple rounds of back and forth with him the afternoon before and I ended up agreeing to the last design I saw before I had to leave for rehearsal. So what I got had gold text printed at the bottom of the strip and the color was not dark enough to show up well. You can read our names but the date is so tiny and faint that you cannot read it. If we had been given more time, I would have asked for dark blue ink and for the date to be larger. My guests enjoyed the Photo Booth and I liked the album that I got at the end of the night, but the lack of promised planning and the less than ideal design on the strips were very disappointing. I think for an $800 Photo Booth we should have gotten better service.

Your DJ will have planning sessions with you, and provide a very thorough planning form so can provide as much direction as you would like. (That was my favorite part!) Our DJ nailed every single moment — from the ceremony music to the cocktail hour vibe, and of course, the dance floor! The transitions were flawless, the energy was electric, and they somehow knew exactly what our guests wanted to hear before they even requested it. Our DJ, Lou, was great at reading the floor and brought an amazing energy! What really stood out was how they took the time to understand our vision and blended our favorite songs seamlessly with crowd-pleasers. The sound and lighting were on point, and they kept the night flowing smoothly while staying completely in sync with our timeline.

ect. BUT...I'm giving a 2 star because of a couple of things that happened... 1) Zero slow dances for the guest to dance to. We had our first dance, mother/son dance and then the solo dance at the end of the evening, but that was it. People had complained to us that we should have had more slow dances for everyone. Its not a "deal-breaker"...its just something the DJ should be aware of. 2) This is the BIG one, and should be listed first, but I'm going to vent for a bit here on this one... We had "A Thousand Years" by the Piano Guys selected as our procession song. Corny, maybe...overused, possibly...but it was beautiful to us. They asked for a link to the song, so we sent it (you can find it on YouTube easily). When that DJ hit the music on his system outside, it was the worst sounding speaker/recording/song that you could imagine. It would have sounded better to have had a Casio keyboard play the song, rather than his system. It was terrible, and not just an "oopsies" in the beginning...the whole procession was like that. And in that one, special, never to be recreated moment, that is was we here on videos people shot of wedding party and my gorgeous bride, walking down the isle. Absolutely Unreal! Why would we not test the sound system, download a new file if its corrupted, or just get someone's phone to play the song over a microphone??? I'm just glad that what everyone says is true, that when you are standing up at that alter, and you see her at the end of the isle, all the background noise goes away...because for me...it absolutely did. BUT...for those in the audience...It was nails on a Casio chalkboard. Come on man! But hey, all-in-all, the DJ was friendly, he was entertaining, great personality... the music for the recession, the reception and the cocktail hour all sounded great! Now...I did also hire SE Events for our videography, so I'll post a review on that too.

Zoom to confirm all the small details were tied up. I love the online portal/website, it made the process such a breeze and knowing everything was all together in one place. We had SUCH a fun night and the music played such a great part of it all. Thank you Lou!!!

The day of the event I got a lot of compliments on him and I was told he was the best DJ that my family has ever seen and heard. We did not have that many people show up but he kept the vibe up and interacted with the guests that were there. Every time I looked over he was always smiling and dancing. e! Jesse was amazing! From the initial sales call he asked questions we had not even thought about and offered suggestions based on our limited vision of what was needed. Mid-stream we took some interesting planning turns that included adding an outdoor guitar soloist, personal vows, more people and a surprise invasion by Darth Vadar and Storm Troopers at the end that required a recessional “take over” to the Imperial March as a surprise for our guests. Jesse helped us plan out the entire sequence. On the dance floor, he played fantastic music, staying within our comfort zone. Even though it was a noon wedding and reception, his vibes got this age 50+ crowd up and having fun! He truly made our wedding exceptional and memorable while staying classy. Along the way, Jesse also brought in Scott to help with a livestream of both the ceremony and the reception (not a normal request evidently). Scott exceeded our expectations! If you are thinking about doing a video of your wedding, go livestream. The footage was high quality and we got to see what everyone was doing even when we were out of the room! ; ) Instead of one camera following us around, we got to see who was talking to whom along with all the traditional speeches and activities. We even got great cake cutting from the other room using the livestream because Scott was using a high quality, versatile camera and he worked it like a pro! Jesse and Scott made an amazing team and our wedding will be highly memorable AND re-watchable for years to come! We are so grateful to them both! Thank you!!

The dance floor was packed from start to finish, and we received so many compliments from our guests on the great music selection. The photobooth was a huge hit as well! Our guests had a blast taking photos with the fun props provided and we loved looking through all of the pictures afterwards. The videographer captured every important moment of our wedding day from the first look to the send off. We can hardly wait for the highlight video so we can relive our special day for years to come. SE Events is top notch, I would recommend them for any special occasion.

We also expressed our concern with wanting the DJ to only announce important events and not be involved with the crowd at all. DJ Mike Murray was the perfect answer. He timed everything out perfectly, played requested songs on top of some classic crowd pleasers, and even took my last minute request to shorten our first dance song. It was perfect and I'll definitely be recommending them to our friends and family for future events.

He followed our preferences list and sensed what our guests like , then adapted and kept the party going. He paid attention to detail even making sure our first dances were on time, key, and perfect. I couldn’t imagine a more perfect evening for us given our wonderful experience with DJ Pete !

They also have an expansive library of songs to pick from if you need some inspiration / help. On the day of the wedding DJ Jesse did a great job reading the crowd and playing music to keep the party going. He got the whole crowd dancing - even my grandma and great aunt were dancing! The company has a very easy to operate online portal that lets you customize as much or as little as you want, with suggestions for the different parts of the wedding even so if you have no clue those come in real handy. There is also a schedule tracking system which was great. It honestly helped me keep track of the order of things for other vendors also, it was such a blessing. At the party Jesse really knew how to read the crowd and use the music suggestions I gave with his knowledge to keep everyone dancing all night. I have gotten so many compliments post wedding on how fun the reception was and it would not have happened without him. Very professional, always kind and ready to make the day special no matter what, and on time so I didn't have to worry about a thing on the day.

The wedding day music was wonderful. DJ Lou played beautiful music as we were taking photos before the ceremony and the music playing while the guests waited for the ceremony to start was great. All the music we chose to have for the ceremony was spot on and played for the best amount of time. As we were getting ready to do our entrance, we didnt notice this, but the wedding party let us know after that he went down the line to make sure he was pronouncing names correctly and to make sure the line-up had not changed, which is extremely professional. His emcee capabilities were also amazing as we went through the entire night with wonderful shout outs and enjoyable music!

After the fact, we learned that the DJ had been misinformed of our ceremony start time, but was early enough and so adaptable that he was able to adjust seamlessly, without us ever knowing! A point for improvement: We met and coordinated with someone other than our DJ. A few days before the wedding, we got urgent texts from the DJ wanting to meet with us with questions about our request list, first dances, etc. This bothered me, given that we were mid-travel, coordinating with our guests, doing last minute wedding stuff, etc. and the last thing I wanted to do was duplicate conversations while trying to be present with others. This is a small complaint for an overall amazing night. We had asked for a DJ that could read the room and get everyone on the dance floor, and that's exactly what we got! Thanks for contributing to our wonderful night!

e booked him that same night! He has a great energy about him and truly felt like he wanted the day to go smooth for us! He came early to the venue and set up on time, but even worked during the ceremony to help the wedding coordinator and harpist out in signaling the readiness of the ceremony doors to open for me to walk down at the right time. I just knew when I met him that he would be an amazing person to have part of our special day. Highly recommend!!
