I asked about adding pockets- she got materials together to show me a makeshift sample and walked through how it would look with my dress. With my particular dress it didn't work- pockets would have been extremely noticeable and would have taken away from the overall look, and I really appreciated Diane taking the time to walk through it and show me- she truly cared about wanting me to look and feel great while giving her expert opinion and advice. She was also extremely thoughtful throughout the appointment- she noticed I kept tugging the dress down near the armpits, and she suggested she cut out some material to make it more roomier for me- which I didn't even know was a possibility! In addition to that, my dress was hemmed, bustle added, and chest taken in (with the lace design re-added by her!). I highly recommend her and will absolutely use her again when needing alterations.

She was the friendliest person, very organized with appointments made far in advance and EXTREMELY talented and made all the dreams I had for my dress come true. It fit me like a glove yet allowed to me to sit comfortably and dance like crazy! She was able to entirely change the chest area of the dress without making it look like she changed a thing. She also truly thought of and asked my opinion of every single detail of the process from suggesting multiple different ways she could design my straps on my dress, down to the reapplication of single lace floral pieces after hemming. I genuinely can not recommend her enough to any bride looking for any type of alteration on their dress!

l occasion dress altered, you absolutely should trust Diane to do the job! She’s incredibly talented and skilled at alterations. She added some lining and did other complicated alterations on my wedding gown, but you could never tell that the dress was touched - she’s that good. She knew when I first came in and tried the dress on exactly what was needed, but consulted me on everything and took the time to understand my vision. Her prices are also extremely fair - I had gone to two other tailors and they wanted to charge almost double. Also, she not only altered my dress to be able to bustle, but she provided talk-through custom videos for us so that my maid of honor can just follow along on my wedding day. The best part is that she does it all with kindness and compassion and truly made me feel comfortable throughout the process. She took care of me like I was family! Seriously run don’t walk to book Diane!!!!

I was skeptical of how lace dresses are shortened without ruining the design. Diane was the BEST - my dress looked perfect! She even added sleeves on that I had wanted. On my wedding, guests commented on how much they loved the sleeves on my dress. I whispered to one of my cousins, "I added these, the dress didn't come with them". She was shocked and said she would have had no idea, they looked like they were just naturally part of the dress. s easy. Diane was super responsive to phone calls and emails. She was also very flexible with scheduling as well. I work from home once a week and would often have to meet on those days during my lunch hour. She was more than willing to accommodate! She made sure to correspond through text or email to remind me of upcoming appointments! It was so helpful and a great touch. I had two gowns---an Allure A-line gown and a cowl neck satin dress from White Runway. Both gowns did not need many alterations. The Allure gown fit like a glove, but the layers under the skirt added a much fuller look than I was going for. Diane educated me on what those layers were and why it made the gown look the way it did. She made some recommendations on how to make the skirt look less full and I fully trusted her judgement. Diane also educated me on bustles! She did such a wonderful job on my gown---it looked amazing and photographed so beautifully! I highly recommend her services. She has so much experience and has such an awesome and diverse background. She’s also great to be around! She was so easy to talk to and made me feel right at home in her in-home studio. vous to trust someone to alter my wedding dress, and Diane was definitely the right choice! At 5 feet tall, I had about two extra feet of fabric to my dress. I had told her that it fit me perfectly, except for the length. When I went there, Diane told me that while I think it fits me perfectly, there are definitely improvements that could be made. I was a little skeptical but figured she’s the expert so I’ll trust her judgement. I was in awe when I went to pick up my dress and saw how much better it fit. She was absolutely right! Not only is Diane truly an “extraordinary seamstress,” but she is such a good, kind person to work with. She didn’t mind me using that time in my dress to test different necklaces and bracelets for the big day. She took the time to teach my maid of honor how to bustle my dress by showing her, letting my MOH try it, and then correcting her. I felt like she wanted to make sure my day was perfect and I was beautiful, not just that she wanted to get the job done. Her prices were very reasonable and her flexibility with timing was unmatchable. My mom had intended to get her mother-of-the-bride dress altered at the store she bought it from, but changed her mind and decided to go with Diane instead after going to my fitting appointment with me. When my mom went to pick up her dress two weeks before the wedding and felt like she wanted another small adjustment, Diane worked quickly to make the revision so the dress was perfect and ready to be picked up with time to spare. If you’re having trouble finding the person to trust with the most important alteration of your life – that person is Diane. Trust me.

This meant that after finding an Oleg Cassini dress I really liked at David's Bridal, I went searching to find the dress cheaper elsewhere. I was able to find the dress for $500 less on Ebay, being sold by someone who had cancelled their wedding (meaning bonus--it wasn't even worn once). I couldn't turn down a deal like that, so I bought the dress, even though it was a size 22 and I am around size 8-10 (depending on the brand). Fortunately, I found Diane online and she was able to not only greatly alter a dress with an illusion neckline, lace overlay and beading, but incorporate some of my ideas of how to make the dress "mine". The dress is tea length and ivory and Diane was able to sew into the dress a navy petticoat that peeked out just a tiny bit from the bottom of my dress as well as add a navy sash that didn't interfere with the zippering and beading up the back. Not only did I love her work, but Diane was great to work with as well as reasonably priced--I wouldn't hesitate to recommend her to anyone seeking bridal gown alterations, especially those that have tiny details that are going to need very close attention.
