Sean is a Na Hoku Hanohano Award-winning songwriter, guitarist, and vocalist based out of Honolulu, Hawai'i. Blending together a hooky pop-songwriting aesthetic with the raw emotion of his electric guitar, Sean traverses and synthesizes the frenetic passion of rock and blues with the sultry sounds of r&b, jazz, and soul. Sean's solo act features a completely live (zero pre-recorded material) looping performance of vocals, guitar, bass, keyboards, and sampled drums. He offers a fuller sounding experience than a single performer with just an acoustic guitar. anner, I decided to take on the search for the perfect musician for our day. I came across Sean Cleland online and loved his vibe, energy and authenticity on stage and prayed that sending that "are you available" email he would respond with YES! Sean signed on to carry us musically through our wedding day and it was the best decision we could have made. As the bride, we emailed back and forth only a couple of times and the first time "meeting" Sean was as I entered the Akala Chapel to his voice blessing the space. As my new husband and I walked down the aisle after being announced husband and wife, Sean and I made eye contact and I mouthed "thank you" - what a moment. Sean, you are a blessed talent and your gift of music carried Chris and I (along with our families) through the most important day of our lives and we are both SO grateful! Our wedding guests LOVED his music and Sean even agreed to stay on for an additional hour at the end as we were all having such an awesome time having him there. From the bottom of our hearts, THANK YOU. We 150% recommend Sean for any event needing a professional, easy going, TALENTED musician.
