Sean Tobin is a native of New Jersey who loves to travel and play music. He completed the El Camino de Santiago, a 500-mile Spanish trail, with his guitar on his back in 2017. He has performed to audiences everywhere, from his home town in New Jersey to Galway, Ireland and back.
Sean plays everything from rock and country to folk and pop music. Among his influences are Bruce Springsteen, Counting Crows, Tom Petty, and Jimmy Buffett. ly became huge fans and now know most of the words to all his original songs! When we saw him post on FB that he does weddings we had no doubt in our mind we had to have him! When I say that Sean Tobin and the Boardwalk fire literally carried our wedding into greatness that is no joke. We had around 275 people attend our wedding, so we booked him for our cocktail hour with the rest of the Boardwalk Fire members, we had originally thought we needed a bigger piece band for the reception which is why we did not book them but my husband and I say our only regret is not having him and his band for our entire wedding. We were also lucky enough to have Sean Tobin perform at our welcome party, which was about 190 people the night before and he legit single handedly had everyone singing, dancing and thriving - we actually thought the wedding might be a let down after his performance! The best thing we did for our wedding/guests was have him! So easy to work with and such good energy! I would recommend him to everyone!! SO AMAZING!!!! We wanted to incorporate our taste in music along with some crowd-pleasers and Sean absolutely nailed it. When some of our guests had a few song requests that didn’t quite fit with our original plan, we asked Sean to accommodate. He didn’t bat an eye as he switched gears to the new vibe the wedding took on. Then he closed the party out with a bang, really rocking out on his last batch of songs. Our 2020 wedding was canceled because of Covid, but Sean stuck with us for nearly two years through postponements and replannings until we were finally able to have an intimate restaurant ceremony and party in fall 2021. Sean learned two songs at our request (Smashing Pumpkins and Radiohead), and sent us those and one other ceremony song pre recorded so we could listen beforehand. It’s so special that I have those to keep forever. He and Jack were such a unique and beautiful addition to our ceremony, and during cocktail hour everyone was like “they’re playing all of my favorite songs!” Sean is the best , so hire him now.

The wedding was outside, and it did end up raining a few times, so he wasn't able to use his equipment. He ended up playing acoustic a few times and it was beautiful. ean learned multiple songs by request for our ceremony and sent them to us before hand for approval. They were perfect! He set up in multiple spaces for us the day of but everywhere he played he sounded amazing. Despite our original plans being derailed this was still the most important day of our lives and in order to make it special I wanted to hired a very specific sounding acoustic guitar player. I admit this was the hardest vendor to find next to my photographers, until I found Sean! We talked about the songs I wanted, he sent me MP3 versions of him singing and playing and the stars aligned. On the day of the wedding he came very well dressed and handsome with a perfect setup on the water. He played "Just Breathe," - Pearl Jam- as I walked down to my groom and "Jersey Girl," -Bruce after we said our vows and danced on the ocean front!
