Search Party

This band was FANTASTIC and very professional! They had the entire wedding party on the dance floor from start to finish. They learned our first dance song and performed it so well. They brought such a great energy and played songs that were perfect for all ages. We couldn't have been happier!

Search Party was an incredible wedding band and I highly recommend for weddings and other events. Our guests continue to tell us how much they enjoyed the band, and the dance floor was packed from start to finish. Search Party had an amazing song lineup, and worked with us to pick the songs we liked best for our audience. Charlie was responsive and wonderful to work with throughout the planning process, answering all of our questions in a timely manner. I would absolutely work with Search Party whenever possible in the future.

Let’s put it this way, this band is probably already booked for the next 3 years after my wedding. I had almost every single person come up to me to ask where we found this band, the name and bring up that they would be having them. They were soooooooo good. Yes pricey, yes WORTH it!!! I also loved Charlie, he was super organized. He read every name correctly and truly cared. I literally thought they were so responsive especially in comparison to other bands we spoke to!!!!! I didn’t even have to worry about them at alllllll!!!! They almost snuck in. It was so amazing. I loved every second of it all. They took a break and I was like I need them back!!!! Haha. Thank you Charlie and team!! We loved you so much and our day was incredible because of you!

We cannot recommend Search Party enough. We had so much uncertainty in our wedding planning process due to COVID-19, but Charlie reassured me on several occasions that they would take care of the entertainment and everyone would be up on their feet dancing all night long. That's exactly what happened! We utilized Search Party for our ceremony, cocktail hour and reception music and loved every minute of it. The music selection was excellent and the music talent matched it. Our friends have already booked them for their wedding in 2023.

This band played at my daughter's wedding. Every song sounded exactly as the original, no matter the genre. Our guest, from young to older commented they were the best they had heard. No one sat out a dance. They are so good, we had them overtime. I'm still getting texts from guest what a great time was had.

They had everyone up and dancing the entire night - we didn't want them to leave! Every song they played was incredible and every member of the band is beyond talented and brings incredible energy. I have not had my wedding yet, but I already know how wonderful Charlie and the band are! Charlie has been truly wonderful throughout the entire process so far. During this unprecedented and uncertain time, Charlie has been so communicative, helpful and flexible with my fiancé and I, which has provided us with so much comfort as we think through what makes the most sense for our wedding and guests. We cannot wait for Search Party to play at our wedding!!

The band was amazing! Our top priority for our wedding was to have everyone on the dance floor having fun and Search Party definitely made that happen. Charlie helped make the planning process smooth. During the wedding, those who were more music inclined than myself, made comments to me that the musicians were hitting notes that a lot of people can’t even do. The guitar solos were awesome! My husband and I keep reliving the night. Let’s just say everyone was a little sore the next day from all the dancing!

We loved Search Party at our wedding! They made the party great. All the guests danced and everyone commented on how much fun the band was! They were even accommodating with special requests, like switching up lyrics and allowing the bride to sing a song. You will not regret selecting this band!

Search Party brings it all night long. From the first note to the last, the band had everyone on their feet. One of my favorite memories from the day is the sound of the horns at the beginning of our first dance. This eight-person band has a good mix of instruments and tremendous vocalists. We were looking for a band that had horns, was not too big, and also had two vocalists. Search Party fit the bill and had rave reviews. Our guests could not stop dancing and have not stopped talking about how great Search Party was. Additionally, Tom Pendergast played acoustic guitar during the ceremony and cocktail hour. This was the perfect accompaniment to our garden wedding. Thank you, Search Party! We highly recommend hiring Search Party!

WOW! This band is the best! If they're available, book them now! Three months after our wedding, our guests are still talking about how awesome the band was. The dance floor was packed the entire night, which is all we wanted. As soon as we saw their showcase, we knew we had to book them, they are all top notch musicians and are so fun to watch!

Search Party recently performed at our wedding. They were AMAZING!! Charlie was so professional and easy to work with during the booking process and easily available to discuss last minute details the week of our wedding. Our guests are still raving about how great they were. Our dance floor was NEVER empty. My 95 year old grandmother was even dancing with the lead singer!! You definitely won't regret booking this band!

Search Party went above and beyond to make our wedding day remarkable. From day one we were very impressed with this band. When I reached out for more information Charlie responded so quickly with all the information we needed. He is super prompt and professional in his emails and phone calls. We got to see the band play at a studio very quickly and instantly loved the band. Charlie was awesome, after we signed our contract we booked a walk through of our venue. He told us about how they would setup and more about how our venue would be for the band. They have you fill out some paperwork to so they have a layout of the wedding day and Charlie called two days before the wedding to run through everything with, even that he was pronouncing everyones name right! He is full of amazing tips and advice as well and is always 2 steps ahead of you. Then comes wedding day and just wow. The band is amazing and filed with such talent. They kept our guests out on the dance floor all night! They are able to read the crowd and get more and more people out on the dance floor song after song. We had so many wedding guests coming up to us throughout the night and even after the wedding asking for more information about our band and saying how they were the best wedding entertainment they have ever seen. Honestly booking them will be the best decision you will make for your wedding day.

Search Party did a fantastic job communicating, preparing for several very special requests, and performing at my wedding! The guests, many of them musicians (as are my husband and I), are still raving about them!

Search Party was hands down the best band we have ever seen and if we could give a million stars we would in a heartbeat!! We just got married on Saturday (10/7/17) at OceanCliff in Newport, RI and we couldn't wait to rave about how amazing Search Party is in every way! They brought the house down from start to finish and are incredibly talented and energetic. They played our first dance song (Into The Mystic by Van Morrison) perfectly and made our parent dances incredibly special. My dad surprised me and had my sister sing with the band to our song A Thousand Years which turned into Take Me Out To The Ballgame. My dad and sister went to Boston to rehearse with Search Party and had the best time - everyone raved about this performance!! Every song was amazing but I think their version of Shout was the best version we ever heard. I cannot say enough wonderful things about this group and Charlie was SO nice, fun, and easy to work with. Do yourself and your wedding a HUGE service and book Search Party ASAP!!! Search Party exceeded all of our expectations. Leading up to our wedding, Charlie was incredibly responsive and easy to work with, and they helped to make our reception so much fun. This crew BRINGS IT from start to finish. Not only were our guests blown away, but the resort staff kept asking us about them and giving them compliments the next day! If you are looking for a non-stop dance party, led by some incredibly talented musicians, look no further. The night of our wedding, a couple ended up booking them on the spot, so don’t wait! They are amazing and we could not be happier to have had them to help us celebrate our big day!

Searchparty performed at my wedding this past May and they were incredible! We had a very particular vision in terms of entertainment for the day, and wanted someone that encompassed the classics and modern hits with a timeless twist, and Searchparty is just that! They are all incredibly talented, and it's easy to see why they are so in demand for functions. We worked with Cody (manager) and Charlie throughout and found both to be responsive, flexible, professional, and thoughtful in planning our day. They played their hearts out the entire length of our reception, and even coordinated a surprise with my husband on guitar. Our guests continue to ask about our band and have been looking to book them for upcoming events! You can't go wrong with this crew if you're looking for the best dance party across all the floor for guests of all ages!

We could not have asked for a better wedding band than Search Party! They played at our wedding in October, and our guests are still raving about how amazing they were, and how much fun it was dancing to their music! Charlie was wonderful to work with, and they nailed the song we requested that they learn for our first dance, "Coming Home," by Leon Bridges. Search Party got everyone onto the dance floor for the entire reception, even my grandmother got up to dance! People of all ages were impressed with the caliber of music and the range of the different genres and decades they played, from Bobby Darin, to Jackson 5, to Justin Timberlake, to DNCE. The band is extremely talented, several of the members have FANTASTIC voices they can seriously play! I still feel so lucky to have had them play at our wedding, definitely book them if you can!!

We can’t even begin to thank Search Party. They were absolutely amazing!!! They had everybody up dancing as soon as they started playing and had people dancing ALL NIGHT LONG!! They actually had to ask people to sit down to eat dinner so they themselves could have a dinner break!! Hahaha! We were in contact with Charlie throughout the planning process. He was awesome to work with. We actually made a playlist for our bridal party to enter to and he was easy to work with! They were key to making our wedding awesome! We would absolutely recommend them to anyone who wants everyone up dancing all night ling!!

Going into our wedding planning process, the one thing we knew we wanted was a band to play at our reception. Search Party absolutely delivered, making our reception truly special. In the planning process, Charlie was communicative and accommodating of our requests (including having the band learn a special request song in advance). On the big day, Search Party played a great mix of songs tailored to the pace and flow of the event. Everyone - from our grandparents, to our friends, to the toddlers in attendance - was out on the dance floor and raving about the band. We loved having Search Party play our wedding reception, and highly recommend them for any event!

Search Party is full of amazing talent! It is pretty unbelievable how great this band is and we are so happy we were able to book them for our wedding this past fall. They had every guest on the dance floor and the band members even busted out a few awesome moves of their own. Long after the wedding was over people were still bringing up how incredible the band was. Also, I have to mention that they have the absolute best rendition of Shout I have ever heard. I wish I could have danced to their songs all night long! Everyone we spoke to from the band and Murray Hill Talent was extremely responsive and friendly. The band learned two special songs for us and they played and sang them perfectly. Booking Search Party will be the best decision you make for your wedding!

Best band in Boston. Search Party played at our NYE wedding and the dance floor was packed the whole time! Everyone raved about how great they were. They were more than just a band but a group of true musicians who can play a variety of music!!! Our wedding would not have been nearly as fun without Search Party's talent and energy!

I cannot say enough great things about this band! From the beginning, Charlie is so great to work with. I had emailed him several times with requests and changes and he was extremely patient. The band was one of the best parts of our wedding. They were fun, upbeat, and sounded amazing. They played great dinner music, but knew when to get the party started. My guests kept coming up to me asking where I found this band and where they could go see them play. One of the best purchases we made for the wedding! They rocked!

SEARCH PARTY WAS AMAZING. Like stellar, incredible, two thumbs up… did I mention we LOVED them? My husband and I always knew we wanted a band for our wedding, and when we got engaged I started the search to find the perfect one for us. As soon as I heard Sarah’s voice I was completely hooked. She was so amazing and we immediately reached out for information. Just to be sure, we waited and saw them at a showcase to be sure they were just as good live as their produced tracks sounded and they were! Sarah was as great as expected, but Neph also blew us away with his dance moves and energy, we booked them right away. The day of our wedding I cannot even tell you how spectacular they were. They so exceeded our expectations and I credit the band for making our wedding so much fun! We have gotten SO many compliments from guests and families about how awesome the band was, they all want to book them for their events! Even my sister, a staunch DJ supporter, admitted how wrong she was and how Search Party truly made our wedding. Our family is desperately trying to come up with excuses to hire them for anything so we can hear them again, lol. If you are looking for a band that delivers way above their price tag (they are very reasonable as Boston Wedding bands go), you must hire Search Party! Thank you guys for truly making our day one of the most fun days of our entire lives!

Search Party's enthusiasm and professionalism shone through during the reception. The renditions of requested songs coupled with the selections chosen by the band provisioned a once in a lifetime atmosphere. The wedding guests had an absolutely incredible time as the dancing was non-stop for the entire evening. The band was extremely accomodating, a pleasure to work with , and shared their many talents willingly.

We knew from the get-go that we wanted our wedding to be a fun time for all of our guests, and that meant having live music. After watching our fair number of cheesy Youtube videos, my MIL mentioned a great band she had just seen perform at a friend's wedding. From that point on, our list became a whole lot shorter. Search Party was AMAZING. Not only was Charlie super helpful and easy to work with during the planning stages, every band member was on their A Game for the big day. Guests started dancing during dinner, and didn't stop until midnight. Friends and family are still raving about how much fun they had, and I can only agree. Search Party went above and beyond with special requests such as working with my family to perform a surprise sing-along, letting my two little cousins on-stage to sing, and learning a 3-song medley for our first dance, and the whole night went off without a hitch! They are true professionals, and if there were any hiccups behind the scenes I was blissfully unaware. To say it was the perfect day would be an absolute understatement. I wish I could go back and relive it. If I had the chance to do it all again, I wouldn't change a single thing. I would 100% recommend Search Party for any event where you want to be sure you and your guests will have a good time.

Aside from marrying the man of my dreams, hiring Search Party was one of the best wedding decisions I could have made! Bar none, this was the hippest wedding band I've ever experienced...sorry, but some can be just plain cheesy! My guests (ranging from age 3 to 83) were all on the dance floor the entire evening. My husband and I did not sit down once! They perfectly played our very unique first dance request, "Yoshimi Battles the Pink Robot" by the Flaming Lips. They also play popular & classic songs that were a huge hit. Jason and I especially loved their funky r&b & 90s repertoire. Search Party had it all! Sarah and Neph have a funky and fun energy that will get everyone on the floor grooving... (not to mention their vocals are spot on). Charlie Hunt, the band manager, is a doll and so easy to work with. He played all our special requests including "Super Freak" by Rick James, "Get Lucky" by Daft Punk...and even "Blurred Lines" by Robin Thicke. Their horn section was the talk of the town, too! The night was a seamless blend of old and new...just fantastic! I wish I could get married every year and SEARCH PARTY would be my band of choice each time. It was the perfect evening that neither I or any of my guests will soon forget!

OK, to be fair, I know the lead singer who is basically Janis Joplin reincarnated and I knew her voice would knock everyone's socks off. But Search Party the band as a whole made our event -- from the ceremony to the cocktail hour and then to the reception, we kept people on the floor all night to the very end. Professional, flexible and willing to make the event everything you need it to be, they bring the party!!!

Charlie and his band Search Party were probably one of the biggest reasons I had so much fun at my own wedding. I couldn’t stop dancing, and towards the end I stopped visiting with guests and didn’t leave the dance floor until the wedding was over. That was easy, though, because most guests were dancing anyway. In addition to the songs they learned for our first dance and father-daughter dance (which were perfect), the songs they played worked remarkably great for the mixed crowd. It was a wonderful compellation of classics and more current songs, upbeat and fun songs, and a few romantic slow dances too. What I thought was most impressive was that they sounded better live than in their recordings! The female vocalist, Sara, gave me the chills multiple times, and the saxophonist and trumpet players were just phenomenal. About a dozen guests came up and asked me where I found this band. Several others told me this was by far the best wedding band they had ever heard. They even let my uncle (who is also in a band) get up and play his harmonica with them for a few songs! I could not have been happier with Search Party, and I really hope I get invited to a wedding where they’re playing again… I know it will be a blast!

We hired Search Party without hearing them and based on their website music. I think they were overpriced for the value they delivered - although the music was good (esp. the female vocalist and brass instruments). Charlie, the band leader, seemed organized by email. But they arrived 3 hours after they said they would -- causing some concern! Then they were totally disorganized upon arriving and some of them seemed really out of it. Charlie repeatedly mispronounced my family's name -- which I had spelled out phonetically for him. If they had arrived when he said they would, we would have had a chance to iron out these things. I didn't even ever meet any of the band members in person. So I would recommend another band for your event.

Regular people - no egos not attitude. Great range of classy music.;Forgot to add 'the Conga line' to my no play list.
