Second Look Videography

This review is embarrassingly overdue, but I felt it was important to give credit where it is due. My husband and I were engaged for two years, and throughout the entire duration, we went back and forth about whether or not to use a videographer. Having watched a MILLION videos online and done our research, we discovered a couple things. 1: Wedding videos are extremely hit or miss. We work in the television industry, and we were surprised at how overwhelmingly disappointed we were by the “highest-rated videographers” on wedding sites. There are a lot of amateurs out there. 2: Wedding videographers are expensive. We were on a budget and we had no outside financial help. We saved for years to have the wedding we wanted, and didn’t have much wiggle room. We knew that if we were going to pick someone, then we needed to be 100% confident in them. We were not going to waste our money on something we didn’t love. And trying to find someone on the cheaper end wasn’t going to cut it, because we noticed the massive dip in quality. Having been discouraged, we decided that we didn’t need a videographer. We’d just enjoy the moment. Besides, we had a photographer, so we’d still have something to remember the day. Well…as the wedding got closer, I got increasingly disappointed. I started realizing that I was going to really regret not having a video of our wedding. I didn’t want to have any regrets or disappointments for the greatest day of my life, so two weeks before the wedding, we decided to just take the leap, and do it. I hit the internet again to decide on someone. Our first pick was Fifgen Films. If you don’t know them, look them up on Youtube. They do a lot of Penatonix music videos and even did one with John Legend. As luck would have it, they had just launched a sister company called Second Look Weddings. They do wedding music videos, which are like montages of the entire day. I watched their reel, and knew they were the ones for us. I reached out, and booked them that day. I can’t tell you how happy I am that we decided to get a videographer. I LOVE our pictures, but still to this day, 9 months later, every time I watch our wedding video, I cry. Every single time. A video captures the feeling of the day in a way that pictures just can’t. They did an AMAZING job, and I couldn’t be more thrilled about the quality. They captured everyone moment I could have hoped for. They are the nicest people you’ll meet. And if you are nervous about being on camera, don’t worry, you will be so wrapped up in everything else on the day of your wedding, you won’t even notice they are there. The best part? I received the final version of our video while I was still on my honeymoon. Other places estimated 2 months for a delivery. I would definitely recommend looking them up. You won’t regret it.
