schedule that worked for everyone. She was organized and great at communication. On the day of the wedding, Jane did our hair. Everyone’s hair looked amazing! She did such a good job! She was very sweet and professional. My bridesmaids came with several ideas and pictures, and she made it a reality. She listened to what I wanted and offered suggestions when I needed them. Helena did our make up on the wedding day. She worked with what I wanted and gave advice when I asked for it. One other bridesmaid and I are not big make up people, and she really helped us. She made me feel at ease. She even offered to step up and say something to my photographer when he started to stress me out. The Secret Salon made me feel so special! They really cared about making my day the best it could be! They kept us on schedule even when my bridesmaids were not being quick about things. All of my bridesmaids and my mom felt really beautiful. Everybody had great things to say about the experience.

ome to you for a reasonable travel fee of $50. They bring their own chairs and come fully prepared. We got to be with Jane, Jennifer, and Arasely, who were incredible beauticians and artists and kind people. All my bridesmaids and bridal party were sooo happy with the process of getting their hair/makeup done and their end resilts, and so was I! They do airbrush and include lashes as well. It’s a pretty great deal and definitely worth looking into!

ith Secret Salon. I had 5 services and we used Secret for hair styling only. Alice and Jennifer were friendly, timely, and personable with me and my inner circle. The prices are very reasonable and they went above and beyond for their service and really took their time with helping me decide on a style I wanted. I did a trial beforehand and bought hair extensions for the big day which looked really nice. Alice and Jennifer were amazing and I feel like they genuinely cared about everyone in my group. After much internet research, I was certain that I wanted to hire ALICE with SECRET SALON as the reviews were amazing! I made contact through the website, and I received an almost-immediate response! Initially, Alice didn't think they could help, but when she found out that it was a 6 p.m. wedding, she agreed they could help even though they had earlier wedding(s) that same day. Alice is a God-send. She is extremely talented! She did hair for the entire wedding party, her team did make-up, and Alice even pitched in at the end after two bridesmaid who were not scheduled for makeup decided that they wanted theirs done too. working through our wedding trial. On my wedding day, Alice and her team moved expediently through my five wedding party and my husband's and my mother. We're a diverse group ethnically and taste-wise and everyone was happy with their look. It was a nice way to bring everyone together before the event. Alice sneaked out when we were all ready, and I called her to come back and put my veil in - and she drove back quickly, no questions asked. Just one little example of how she goes above and beyond. And she is great at answering emails and texts in a timely manner, which is incredibly appreciated. If you need a superb professional who is there for you and super genuine, give Alice a ring!

When it didn’t she happily agreed to pack everything up and drive us across the street to meet where my other bridemaids were getting ready on their own before coming over. She reset up in their hotel room and continued like nothing had ever interrupted the morning flow. Additionally their prices are so reasonable! I called 8 different salons before stumbling across Secret Salon, and all of them charged almost double for the bride’s makeup and hair compared to bridesmaids while Secret Salon charges the same incredible rate. Jane was also really great at listening to what all three of us wanted for our hair and makeup and working on creating exactly that look. And any changes I wanted after, she happily implemented. Then she showed my bridesmaids how to put my veil in and take it out of my hair so that it wouldn’t pull out a bunch of the pinned curls. The whole process was so easy, fun, and comfortable! I would recommend Secret Salon to any bride in San Diego :D

She really out did herself. However, my makeup was definitely not what I asked for. My bridesmaids saw the photo of what I wanted, and said we should call her back in to fix it. My parents tried to flag her down, but she was in such a hurry to leave that we couldn’t let her know anything was wrong. I therefore had to fix my own makeup with the help of my bridesmaids. As we worked, we noticed she only put a wing on one eye. So it was not the eye makeup I asked for, and it didn’t match.

ons to their original booking then we might have a smaller number of stylists working with a larger group but this would be explained at the time of the booking and we would add extra time to the schedule. We provide a schedule with 45 minute time slots per service with additional time at the end for emergencies. We don't shorten those 45 minute slots if there are fewer stylists, so as long as our clients are in the chair on time, they will be ready on time regardless of how many people are working. On this schedule are the cell phone numbers (printed in bold!) for the stylist and the owner of the company (me) so there would be no reason that a client could not contact the stylist and have them come back if something needed fixing. Believe me I would have been on the freeway personally to fix the problems if something like this had happened. Our stylists/artists always provide the client with a hand mirror and ask if the makeup/hair looks right and what they can adjust to make it match the image the client has in their head. Great makeup and hair requires a collaboration between the artist and client. If our artists were told a bride's makeup wasn't right they would do whatever it took to fix it! Finally we take huge pride in our work, are readily available on email/phone and would do whatever it took to make a mistake up to a client. We haven't received a complaint from anyone so I have no idea who could have written this or indeed why someone would write a negative review without having approached us to discuss their issue either on the day (when we could have fixed it) or after when we could have tried to make up for it in another way. If this really is a client of ours which like I said seems unlikely both due to the content and the fact that our brides on April 14 were named Catherine and Melissa (and I will reach out to both of them) then do please contact me on 760 687 5475 or info@mysecretsalon.com and we can get to the bottom of this mystery.

d executed it perfectly - only going off of my minimal instruction of "wanting to look like a snapchat filter". On the day of the wedding, Alice and Jane showed up early and were ahead of schedule the entire day - but never rushed, they made sure everyone had what they wanted for hairstyle and both were incredible at making everyone look like themselves just slightly elevated when it came to makeup. Not only are Alice and Jane incredible at what they do (we all looked amazing!), they are great people to be around and were so fun to work with. (It's the little things! ) Also, I have a 2 year old who was the flower girl- and Alice was able to take care of her hair and help give me styling tips to pin in her headband once it got closer to the wedding so that she wouldn't rip it out. On the day on my wedding, Alice and an additional stylist through Secret Salon, Michelle, showed up to our hotel room to do hair and makeup for my four bridesmaids, my mom, and myself. They stuck to a schedule but did a very thorough job on all the girls. Everyone wanted a natural, dewy look that only enhanced how they looked, not change their looks, and that's exactly was Alice did. Everyone was thrilled with how their hair and makeup turned out, even my mom who was nervous about it since she's middle-aged. She nailed the look I wanted, and even when I requested a slight change from the hair style of my trial, Alice had no problem making it happen. She was also more reasonably priced than many quotes I received. If you're getting married, Alice at Secret Salon will make you feel like the most beautiful bride ever!

My hair is naturally thin and has no volume, but Alice made it look like it was thick and healthy. She also made good suggestions about having the bun to the side since it looks better in photos. I know nothing about hair or make up so she was helpful in explaining everything to me! Alice and her team arrived a few minutes early, had a schedule ready to go, and had us done on time. I cannot emphasize enough the importance of getting your hair and make up done professionally, including the moms/grandmas and bridesmaids. We all know things always take longer if you do it yourself, so having Alice was a live saver. I chose Alice initially because her she did airbrush at a decent price (lowest I could find) without giving up quality. in her home and she took my ideas and made them look so much better then I expected. She arrived early to our day-of appointment and kept to our agreed upon timeline. She also offers a military discount!

y of. I have never felt as beautiful as I did the day of my wedding. My husband's one request was that I still looked like myself on our wedding day and I was skeptical of airbrush makeup. I was beyond pleased and looked more natural than my everyday make up but had better coverage and it lasted for hours. I had 9 bridesmaids, my mother and mother in-law and every girl felt beautiful and loved the way she looked. If you are contemplating who to use for your wedding day hair and make up, do yourself a favor and go with Alice and the Secret Salon!!!
