Sedona Golf Resort

had a very involved team of family members and friends to support with aspects and fine details, and Sedona Golf Resort saw no problem in making sure everyone was comfortable for our eclectic needs. The drink package was easy to set up, the food was impeccable (and the absolute cherry on top was the chef recreating a family recipe in the meal!)  Clean up the next day was laid back and easy. We picked up our items with ease. Javier was AMAZING for dress rehearsal. He understood and supported our requests and made sure everything was seamless.  Our only note is for queer couples- the suites are inside of the men's and women's restrooms so one of you will get the suite inside the restroom and the other may be in the closet (they did their best to place coverings on things, dress it up, and still offered a getting ready cocktail to both of us but of course there's only so much you can do to make it not feel like a closet.) If the bathroom/suite situation could be made more accessible to all, this place would be perfect.  It was beautiful, easy, and extremely supportive. We highly recommend!

planning process. She helped tremendously with the table layout as well as the hashing out of the reception details. Dana, our day-of wedding coordinator, was also 10/10 fantastic. She brought all the notes with her to our rehearsal and confirmed all the setup details with us to make sure everything's set up the way we wanted it. She also took great care of our decor items as many of them are fragile and sentimental stuffed animals. What really touched me was that after Dana packed up everything for us at the end of the reception, she left one stuffed animal out as I'd told her that I couldn't sleep without having one in my arms when I sleep. :') Her patience with answering all our questions also helped relieve our anxiety on our big day. The tables and centerpieces were also set up perfectly. The SGR team really went above and beyond to make sure we had the best night of our lives! The team is all very professional. Needless to say, food was delicious and drinks used high quality alcohol as well. All our guests had a great time and we cannot recommend it more to future couples!

It will now always be our special place and we can't wait to come back. We love the SGR and will be coming back to visit whenever we are in Sedona.

Everyone was saying how yummy the salmon and steak and chicken were. The wedding coordinator Magdalena was such a sweetheart and helped me every step of the way always making sure I was well taken care of, on top of the wonderful bartenders. Magdalena always made sure I had a drink, my dress was bustled, I had my phone and got plenty of pictures. They set up all our decor exactly the way we wanted. I also loved the special touch of serving the bridal party our signature drinks as a suprise right after the ceremony (martinis and Moscow mules). Thank you again. 5/5 stars! I Thank you to Katie also the director, who responded to my emails so quickly and helped me plan the wedding over the year. Best decision to have our wedding here. Our dog was even able to be at our entire wedding the whole time. Whenever we come back to Sedona we will make sure to stop by for lunch or dinner.

Want to give a special shout out to Magdalena, who is the Banquet Manager, who served as our day of event coordinator! She made everything run seamlessly on our special day and nailed every detail. She even made sure every drink was served with our custom drink stirrers with our dog on them, which were so special to me and made sure my husband and I were fed and always had a drink in our hand. We just can’t say enough amazing things about SGR. The views for the outdoor ceremony are unbeatable. All of our friends who traveled from out of state told us it was their favorite wedding they’ve been to. Everything from the food to the bar service was top notch! We did buffet style for dinner and all of our guests loved our food selections. Best part about this venue is that it’s kind of a one stop shop for vendors. So you don’t have to shop around on your own for good food and bar service. In addition, all the vendors on their recommended list are top notch and they all work incredibly well together so it made the whole process run just so smooth. Katies recommendations lead us to our amazing photographer, baker for all our desserts, DJ, florist, hotel for our guests, and even rehearsal dinner space! If I could give this place 10 stars I would!

Katie (coordinator) was incredible and it honestly felt like I had my own personal wedding planner without needing to hire one! The staff even bustled my dress for me at the appropriate time of the event (like what other venue does that?!?)! The staff handles all of your table set up and tear down so you don’t have to stress about that the day of. They even keep an eye on your cards/gift table and make sure things are put away in a secure place at the appropriate time of the night. I am truly blown away by the SGR and I really feel like we got so much for our money. So many of our guests have been raving about the venue and what an incredible location it’s in. I highly, highly recommend SGR. There is truly no other venue in Sedona, or AZ in general, that can beat it!

wasn’t expecting to still have an outside ceremony at the Sedona Golf Resort as planned, BUT the amazing staff at Sedona Golf Resort made it happen! Katie Draxler kept me calm all day and was confident they would make it work. They spent hours shoveling out walkways, rows for seating, an aisle and we had our wedding outside in the magical snowy setting! It was more than we could have ever imagined and we couldn’t have done it without the amazing staff at Sedona Golf Resort. On top of that the food and service was excellent!! I highly recommend having your wedding at Sedona Golf Resort!

ngs easy in terms of not needing to coordinate those types of vendors. As the planning process started to come along, a few things were not explained very clearly to us in regards to how the open bar was operated. First, everything was explained to us verbally, which made it difficult to go back and try to find concrete reasoning for actions, both on our side and the venue’s side. The open bar, from our understanding (our being me and my husband, as well as my father and his wife) were all paid for in advance and anything left undrank was to be refunded. Nothing was disclosed to us about how special order items were handled differently, or that refunds only applied to unopened cases of beer/wine/etc. We ended up being sent home with quite a bit of special order wine and ciders we had no intention of having to travel home with, and that was an area of our spending that I was hoping to get some credit back for, as my intention was to over-calculate the bar and receive a refund. The venue could not find proof where they explained the bar correctly to us, and it was a mistake we as the consumers ended up having to take the hit for. In addition to this, guests were served premium drinks all night, and I was later informed that beer was being served before our ceremony, and shots were served at the reception, which I had asked not to. This combination caused us to have to purchase an additional beer keg package before dinner, AND we ran out of our hard liquor tab 30 minutes before final call, which I REALLY was not expecting. The alcohol overall was my biggest issue, as I felt it was handled very poorly. It seemed the venue was more interested in getting their money rather than trying to work with us on the amount we spent (which was not cheap), and be somewhat conservative in order to make everything last the whole night. I feel that if a guest orders a cranberry vodka, they should not have been given premium, but we were charged for all premium drinks all night, which is absolutely why our bar tab was completely gone before the night was over. As for some few small detail items on the day of, none of the votive candles for our centerpieces, sweetheart table, or entry way, had been lit for the entire evening. In addition, we had paid for outdoor heaters for the whole evening. Upon guests’ arrival around 4 PM, until the end of the evening, the heaters were never turned on. This was a very cold Saturday in February, and we had rented these from the venue to ensure our guests were comfortable in the very cold weather. Lastly, the venue coordinator, Katie, was pregnant prior to our event date. She ended up leaving our event right after the ceremony. Once we came back from photos on the golf course, we were left alone in the buffet room for about a half hour trying to find someone to help us figure out what was going on. No one was really present to get us moving on to the next item of the evening. Then, at the end of everything, I never even received a thank you follow-up from the venue for hosting our event at the venue. The only contact we received from Katie after our event was a response to our bar tab issues, in which she was very short with us and again, never thanked us.

The wedding day went so smoothly and Katie helped coordinate the set up of everything. The food was AWESOME! The rest of the staff and servers were great as well! Seriously, I cannot say enough good things about the Sedona Golf Resort! If you’re looking for a gorgeous venue, convenient location for you and all of your guests, great food, and fantastic service, this place is for you!

Katie was incredible and made the whole planning process there a breeze. She knows her recommended vendors so well and coordinates so many of the details with them leading up to and on the day of the wedding. I didn’t have to worry about a single detail during the ceremony or reception because she always had everything organized and accounted for. Also, my guests still keep talking about how delicious the food was!

The food was AMAZING; everyone kept commenting on how good everything tasted. From the moment we met her we knew we would be in hands. She had the best recommendations for vendors, the best tips and advice, and always responded quickly to any questions. Being across the country for most of the planning wasn't difficult or stressful because of Katie! The day of couldn't have gone any smoother, everything was perfect. Katie left nothing for me to stress or worry about, made everything look absolutely gorgeous, and always made sure we had a drink in our hands. We would highly recommend Sedona Golf Resort to anyone looking to get married in Sedona!

Katie was always easy to get in touch with regarding tours or questions. She introduced us to Edwin a few months before the actual wedding. Edwin took care of everything for the rehearsal, which involved corralling people at 9 am on new year's day. Not an easy task. When it came to the actual wedding, I didn't have to worry about anything. All of the small details that I had been stressing over were completely taken care of. Edwin took care of extra guests showing up to dinner, some people not following the seating chart and anything else of that nature. You would never have known anything was wrong. The dinner was absolutely amazing and I only heard rave reviews from guests. They were even able to provide kids meals. The bar was great and attentive. We left that evening with a bunch of happy guests and only heard great things about the venue in the morning.

of the vendors that attended our wedding were well coordinated. Which took so much stress off of our shoulders. We chose to do the buffet and the sea bass was a hit! Although it does not rain very much in sunny Arizona it was a down pour 30 min prior to our start time. We had to move the ceremony inside. I was a worried but it turned out to be stunning!! Absolutely romantic with the lights, flowers, and fog rolling off the red rocks in the background. The rain did clear up and we took our photos outdoors. We can not thank Sedona Golf Resort enough for our beautiful wedding!!

g, the food was delicious and the staff was so friendly and helpful. I can't say enough about this venue. From the first day we took a tour we were sold. Katie, the event coordinator was such a great resource. Always, responded quickly to my emails, let us come up and check out the venue anytime, and even gave us referrals for other vendors for the BIG day. I thought I might need a wedding planner, but with Katie's help and some research everything was perfect. Our friends and family were absolutely stunned with the red rock views and floor to ceiling windows. We had a buffet style dinner and there was not one item that we didn't want more of; fantastic food! Go for a visit, eat lunch while you are there and you will be planning your wedding there in no time!

r, who walked me down the aisle didn't have his Boutonniere as well as my grandfather which was told by people who worked there to not worry about anything they will make sure everyone had what they needed, obviously wasn't the case. Cocktail hour was supposed to be outside only but for some reason they were letting ppl go in the reception room before they were even done setting it up for the reception part. No one had direction to where they were supposed up go so a lot of my guests were confused and didn't know what they were supposed to go. I got a lot of horrible complaints from guests about how much money I spent on this wedding that they weren't acting like they knew what they were doing. I put a lot of time and ALOT of money in this wedding and was very upset on the outcome.

hey do nickel and dime you though so be aware of that. However even with that they are very reasonably priced compared to the other venues we looked at in sedona and we looked at several!! They are also willing to pretty much give you anything you want for the right price which is nice because a lot of places have restrictions. It also has a beautiful glass indoor space with red rock views that could be used for the ceremony in case it rained. The food was wonderful too. Overall they did a wonderful job and I was happy with my experience there!

e venue was convenient for our guests staying at the Ridge on Sedona Golf Resort and at the Sedona Hilton, the views are spectacular, they did an awesome job setting up the room with my directions, everything was beautiful! The only issue we had was that the dance floor was too small - but that's only because everyone wanted to dance! We had 120 people attend our event and a full open bar from 4:30pm until midnight and our cost was just over 12K. They mentioned to us they will be remodeling the venue in the coming months - I can only imagine it getting better. Thanks to all at Sedona Golf Resort for a great event!
