We had wanted a fun, vintage, whimsical, but elegant affair and they delivered effortlessly, even including rose gold dinosaurs in their bar decor (a design element I had mentioned early on!) which fit in perfectly with the rest of the event. Everyone raved about the food and the bar service - and when it turned out that I was coming down from my nerves too much to be able to eat much of anything, staff boxed up my food so that I could enjoy it later that night. Staff were professional and kind and we would absolutely recommend Seed Sprout Spoon to everyone!

bamboo plates. We decided to use SSS for our rehearsal dinner, which we held at my dad's house. Our whole wedding was invited to the event, so we had about 100 people. Erin met me at my dad's house and helped me create a custom menu for our event. We chose the Grand South Grand station with a few other salads and appetizers added. On the night of the event, the staff from SSS were friendly, helpful, efficient, and left the place cleaner than when they got there. We opted to provide our own beverages, but the staff cleared glasses and bottles throughout the evening. The set up was beautiful, and they brought many of their own decorative dishes and plants to match the decor in our home. Most importantly, the food was amazing. We had vegans, vegetarians, gluten-free, and meat-lovers, and everyone was raving about how good the food was. I highly recommend Erin and her team!

We had family style brunch for dinner (french toast, eggs, bacon etc.), scones and muffins for apps, and cookies for dessert and I have never heard so many people talk about how much they loved the food at a wedding! Erin and their staff made the event so beautiful and worked hard to make the day of the wedding run smoothly! Picking Seed Sprout Spoon was such an easy decision, they genuinely are the best!

They have not only impeccable style but more importantly impeccable food. We knew from the tasting that this would be the best wedding food anyone has experienced, and we were right. Everyone has had that sad chicken breast at a wedding. Although we had been telling our guests for months how excited we were about the food, no one really fully believed us until they experienced it themselves, and now they won’t stop raving about it. It really is the best food ever, local, seasonal ingredients with the highest amount of attention to flavor. We chose the vegetable tagine, brisket, and STL style pork steak as entrees, and they were all amazing. We also had passed appetizers (chicken satay, jalapeño cornbread, and chorizo tacos)—also amazing. Erin also designed for us an amazing welcome cocktail and did our wedding cake (almond cake with champagne frosting). Best tasting wedding cake we have ever had. The service during our wedding day was amazing, everything came out hot, tasting amazing, in synchrony. Everyone was incredibly friendly and happy. Our guests also especially loved Griffin the bartender and continue to compliment him. Erin has been incredibly easy to work with the whole time, giving us suggestions on what items would pair well together from start to finish. She also designed all of our centerpieces which was the best decision ever. Each table was different but complementary, and individually they were all gorgeous and fit the overall “look” we wanted for our wedding: romantic and casually elegant. The wedding cake she designed was also gorgeous: simple with pink and purple flowers to match our colors. It was so seamless that people thought she was a professional florist (I had a florist do flowers for wedding party only due to our budget). We are so glad that we chose Seed Sprout Spoon. They are also the only company that we know of that strives to be zero waste and composts. Not only do they visually cater to an earthy, romantic style, but they also have a company-wide morality which we really appreciate. We will always remember their amazing food and kindness and wish we could teleport back to our wedding day and do it all over again. While Seed Sprout Spoon absolutely delivers in that regard, the food and the presentation is so beautiful. Even better, the food tastes as good as it looks. There is so much love from the sourcing to the serving, and it shows. We were so proud to bring our foodie friends and family to St. Louis, from Los Angeles and Seattle, and have them enjoy some of the best food (especially wedding food) they'd had! In addition to appetizers, and dinner, we got our cake, as well other made-from-scratch desserts from SSS; not surprisingly, they were delicious and BEAUTIFUL. Our guests loved everything served, and so did we! In addition, I had the pleasure of working with Erin Wiles (owner & operator) in the planning and coordinating capacity for my wedding. This woman knows what she is doing, and is really good at it! She helped me organize all of the details from linen colors, to table placement, to the timeline, to flower choices, and of course the food; what to serve, how to serve it and when. Erin followed through consistently, and did not miss a beat. On my wedding day, my partner and I did not have to worry about a thing, or lift a finger beyond getting dressed and enjoying our happiest day. Seed Sprout Spoon is a shining example of what food should look and taste like, what catering should look and feel like, and what taking pride in one's business and the product that they offer should look like. then she came out to the house we had the wedding at to scout it out and take detailed notes. She has a lot of creative ideas and suggested how many tables to get and how to arrange the party. She gave spot-on advice on candles and decoration, which I don't normally expect from a catering service so good at food. Her collection of vintage serving ware and china plate settings created all the decoration we needed – with flowers and candles we didn't have to do anything else to the house. Her aesthetic set the tone. It could have been in Anthropologie's catalog it was so pretty. Their chef Brendan was so friendly and capable in the kitchen. He made this cheesy potato gratin that melted in your mouth. The greens were perfectly cooked and the trout and beef tenderloin were so high quality and had the perfect amount of sauce to accompany. My bridesmaid said it was the best beef tenderloin she's ever had. They were also so attentive to food sensitivities. He made a salad for me without cheese that was every bit as good as what others were having – and they remembered that because it was in their notes. Natalie and this other server (I'm blanking on name but he was great!) were so friendly. I really recommend the antipasto display which has amazing salamis, prosciutto, cheese, spreads, and olives all arranged on the colorful vintage serving ware. Everything is on different levels from the table – it's not all flat – and that makes it just gorgeous as a display. Plus delicious. We had their carrot cake for our wedding cake – mmmmm!!! Unconventional and super popular with our guests! It was just a pleasure working with Erin leading up to the wedding. I knew the food was going to be delicious and I knew it was all going to be pretty, so it took a lot of worrying off my shoulders. I could tell Erin wrote every detail in her notes and she came personally with Anna the day before to set up and she wrote even more in her notes. She and her staff went above and beyond, and moved chairs after our ceremony to the room where we were having dinner and lit candles. They cleaned up and left the house spotless. You'd never have known they took over the kitchen to cook an amazing meal for a wedding. Go with Seed Sprout Spoon for your wedding or rehearsal dinner if you can you don't have to research any further – you'll just be able to rest easy knowing it will be perfection in taste, looks, quality, and environmental-friendliness. It was one of the major reasons our wedding was one of the best nights of our lives.

Erin made the wedding planning process easy from the start, and was very detail-oriented, which I appreciated! I trusted that she had everything covered. When we had to change the wedding venue last minute due to heavy thunderstorms, Erin was reassuring and flexible. Because all of my rentals had been delivered to the original venue at the time of the change, Erin and her team took care of moving them to the new venue. I was blown away by her willingness to go to this length to help us have a great wedding. Plus, despite the last minute change, the table scape and other details were still executed perfectly. The food was delicious as well--so many of our guests remarked to me about how much they enjoyed the meal. I will forever be grateful to Erin and her team for demonstrating their care for their clients and being an integral part of what turned out to be a lovely wedding.

After several failed attempts (many cake providers don’t do cream cheese frosting, which is a must!), the baker at Local Harvest offered up her services, using her grandmother’s recipe. It was so delicious, I had her make it again for our Thanksgiving dinner! Overall, Erin and the team at Local Harvest were such a joy to work with; their passion for providing good, local and sustainable food is present in every bite. We also had no idea that the Saint Louis area has so many wonderful spirit distilleries; our guests are big whiskey drinkers and the locally sourced batches provided by Local Harvest gave some of classic staples a run from their money. I simply cannot say enough positive things about this vendor.

After the menu tasting in Dec. 2014, there was no doubt that we had made the right choice. The setting was comfortable and charming, the food was delicious, and Erin was ready with the right questions and advice for planning the simple, outdoor event the bride (my daughter) & groom wanted. Erin continued to be helpful in every stage of planning. She met us at the site (a local park where they had not previously catered) and she guided us through all the nuances of planning a wedding & reception. Even when the weather changed the day of the event Erin remained calm and reassuring. When I called her mid-day on the day of the wedding (a bit wound up about the possibility of thunderstorms)...she basically said "relax, it will be okay, and get some umbrellas, they will be great in the pictures". We relaxed, got some umbrellas, it rained like crazy, and it was a fantastic and memorable wedding. The LHC staff was amazing-- charming and comfortably professional-- during the entire evening. The food (appetizers through desserts) was perfect...delicious and thoroughly enjoyed by vegetarians and non-veg. I have heard many, many comments about the staff and the food...all extremely positive. It was an impressive team of people who were dedicated to our having an enjoyable evening. If I could give Erin, LHC and the staff 10 stars, I would!!

My youngest sister is 13, and she accompanied me to our tasting, and Erin was so sweet--she mixed her up a virgin version of the signature cocktail, and she gave her a sparkling apple juice when we all got prosecco. During the tasting, Erin also did an amazing job making up the floor plan for the reception; she was very creative, and she did not mind revising the floor plan a few times prior to the wedding--she even came out to the venue with me and did a test run! She also did a great job working with Bogarts! On the day of the wedding, Sarah managed the event and worked with my florist, Flowers & Weeds, and she was wonderful, as well. In fact, all the staff working the event were super sweet--they were very accessible and kept the evening moving along smoothly. We showed up early with the bridal party (and then way more people trickled in early), and they were super flexible about it. They did an awesome job of setting up, and they even set out my cakes perfectly! The table setting they did was gorgeous, and everyone loved the food and wanted to take home leftovers (and we still had a ton of leftovers!). The service during the event, though, was truly the best. All the waitstaff was flexible and super helpful, and our bartender was the best! My little sister asked for one of the virgin cocktails she had tried at the tasting, and they didn't have anything mixed up without alcohol for her, but the bartender went above-and-beyond by figuring out how she could get one! I seriously cannot praise Local Harvest Catering enough overall.
