I can’t say enough about Dj John! From the start he was so nice, super helpful and made the music process for our wedding so easy. He listened, communicated well, and always answer...
ed my questions. John checked in on me and my husband all night- asked if there was ANYTHING we needed. He kept a the dance floor going all night!Even before the wedding ceremony John was so helpful with the photographers!! Helping me hold the train of my dress up so it didn’t get wet or stepped on (it was rainy early morning of my wedding day). Even my dad noticed that and said John is a stand up guy!!
John also saved me a year ago!! I had a dj booked for my 30th birthday party who completely ghosted me one week prior to my bash!! John saved me (he wasn’t available; but a friend of his was). He will ALWAYS be our go to dj!!! We even just booked him for a surprise bash in a couple of months. John thank you for everything!!! 1000/1000 recommend!!!
John was amazing. Knew how to keep the crowd going on the dance floor, checked on us throughout the whole night, did things exactly how we discussed! Highly recommend!
My wife and I hired DJ John to be our DJ as well as perform JOP duty.
Let’s start with the pros:
1. He actually showed up, his communication as if he would show up or not was ho...
rrible, our fantastic wedding planner could not stand him as he would not communicate with her.
2. He did a good job with JOP, but got our wedding entrance song incorrect.
Cons, where to begin.
Cons: we signed up to have candid photography with John. He did not relay to us 2 days before our wedding that his “guy” got into a car accident. So without having this service, we asked what kind of rebate we can get. He immediately said he would send us a $750 refund. So a few days goes by, and he hasn’t said anything. I reach out to him and ask him if he needed our address or my Venmo because he didn’t say he sent anything. He responds and says will be sending a check. We waited 3 weeks before contacting him again in which he was “surprised” we didn’t get any check. So he “called and cancelled the first check and then sent another check. “ mind you, this is now mid-October when we got married 9:3:22. Still no check to this date. I asked him to pay us back via Venmo since I had to send him that way, but he declined my request. He has ignored many texts and has refused to send the money at this point. He has absolutely no communication skills in the slightest.
I highly recommend you do not hire John for your or any of your families weddings. He has terrible communication skills and promised to refund us $750, in which was all a lie and he has not done so. He did fine as a JOP, however got our wedding entrance song incorrectly, and obviously does not truly care about you as a couple. He is really sketchy to communicate with as he makes everything sound good, in which he is lying to you.
I have screen shots of all of our text messages so if anyone needs further details they can reach out, again STAY AWAY FROM DJ JOHN AND SELECT SOUND. HE DID NOT REFUND US $750 THAT HE SAID HE WOULD AS HE DID NOT PROVIDE SERVICES THAT ALREADY COST WAY TOO MUCH FOR IN THE FIRST PLACE
John was the most amazing DJ for our wedding! He kept people dancing right until the very end. The dance floor was never empty. Working with him was also a dream. He uses an online...

We definitely recommend booking them as your DJ.
Choosing Select Sound for our DJ was by far the best decision we made for our wedding. People are still talking about how phenomenal our dj was! Johnny and his crew are the absolut...
e best! From the photobooth to the candid pictures, they were able to capture the best night of our lives. Not one person left the dance floor. Music makes the wedding and they made ours.

John immediately put us at ease with stellar personality and wide array of options available to us. He is reasonably priced. The photo booth attendants were amazing and even hugged us at the end. The best thing about John though is that his motto is true. He is quite literally the life of the party. From "the Newlywed Game" to making us his first attempt at "the Mannequin Challenge" his promise to us to keep the crowd up and engaged and having fun was fulfilled in every way possible.
I would hire him again in a heart beat and strongly suggest you consider Select Sound. hn was able to be a great MC and took charge! The uplighting brought out the beauty of the space and made the event so much more elegant. The photobooth everyone enjoyed and I loved that we got a USB at the end of the night of the photo strips to see. Another reason we book Select Sound DJ was because they take pictures all night throughout the night and showed the pictures on their 2 televisions they had, this was great because we got a ton of pictures of people dancing, which the photographer did not because they had already left. Would highly recommend, especially for the deal and having everything in one place.
Select Sound DJ, is the absolute best DJ services around!!! I recently had Johnny DJ our wedding, and we were absolutely blown away.

ainment... Johnny knows how to get a party started, and keep it going all night long! Everyone was impressed with how he kept things running smoothly. our guests and wedding party couldn't stop talking about how great our DJ was!
We had up lighting, monogramming, and music with TV's (which everyone loved). When we were originally looking around for DJ services I expected a table with two speakers and some music to dance around to... Select Sound is NOTHING like that. The prices are a little bit higher than we would have ideally liked to budget, but worth every single penny.
Without him, the wedding reception wouldn't have been as amazing as it was! I would absolutely recommend his services to ANY bride-to-be (and I have). He is the BEST of the BEST.
Can't thank Select Sound DJ Services enough for an awesome night!!!
Thanks again!!!

r seen anything like it! He was all the talk after the wedding, a few friends even asked for referrals!
First off, he organized everything so well at the reception. I had a fairly large bridal party and he got everyone organized and ready to go without any issues. He also coordinated the entire night and kept everything flowing super smoothly!
The up lighting and monogramming that he provided were also absolutely perfect! It completely transformed the place and looked awesome :)
One of the things that Johnny offers that not many other DJ's do, is his photographers. He has one or two partners that come with him and take pictures through out the reception and almost instantly are put up on the 4 TV monitors on the dance floor. Everyone loved seeing the goofy shots they captured, or what they couldn't see from their seats.
He's definitely worth every penny- I was attending a wedding where he was the DJ and I was amazed, then I couldn't settle for anything less and just INSISTED on having him be the entertainment of our special night! PERFECT 10 out of 10!
