I have often thought a lot about what my wedding day playlist would sound like and Shawn from Select Vibe DJ & Karaoke made that dream a reality. Shawn shifted through the twisted metal of the internet to find several unique covers of songs we wanted and he did with a smile. A lot of DJs unfortunately just hit play and let the song run its course. Shawn does not do that, he mixes and mashes songs that collaborate so well with another that the dance floor finds you. He was an excellent MC also, using his personality to update and guide people throughout the evening. We highly recommend him and additionally my uncle who has been a DJ for nearly 50 years gave his stamp of approval. Your best move from here is to hope he's available on your special date!

DJ Shawn was an absolute pleasure to work with. Incredibly friendly and helpful through out the process. Although our interaction was minimal leading up to the wedding rest assured you’re in great hands! Lighting provided was stellar once the dancing started and the balance of dancing/karaoke was spot on. We provided some must plays but Shawn was able to create the perfect playlist to accompany the evening and his hosting was nothing short of perfect.

We truly believe that a DJ can make or break a reception so it was important for us to find someone that we thought would be perfect. We met with Shawn and very early on we knew he would be a great fit for us! When we met with him, we were told that he would be our DJ (unlike many companies where you are assigned a DJ a week or two before). He made the planning process so stressfree and took the time to get to know us! Day of the event, he was ready when guests arrived and made the night special. When the dancing started, there wasn’t a single moment that the dance floor was empty. The entire time, people were engaged, singing, dancing, and having the time of their lives thanks to Shawn! We had requested that songs blend from one into another and he came through, the music never slowed down, which kept the energy high. The transitions between songs were amazing. All night, people came up to me (bride) and groom to ask where we found the DJ and to compliment how incredible he was. One of our (married) friends jokingly stated he wanted to get married again JUST to have Shawn DJ. As we were leaving for the evening, the venue coordinator pulled me aside and let me know that Shawn is the best DJ they have had in years! I will always recommend Shawn.

Shawn was absolutely amazing as a DJ. My husband and I had our wedding this past Sunday, and it was everything that I wanted. Shawn went out of his way to make sure our wedding was just perfect. He had a detailed survey, was communicative with my husband and I and did everything to make sure that our wishes were his top priority. My friends and I love dancing salsa and bachata. He ensured that we had a good mix of Latin music, and a bunch of fun wedding songs that get everyone on the dance floor (Sweet Caroline, Cupid Shuffle, you know the type)! The lighting was great, he created such a fun party atmosphere. My husband, friends, and I had such a good time tearing up the dance floor. I highly recommend Shawn to any couple looking for a fun wedding reception. :)

Shawn was absolutely amazing yesterday at our wedding. We have had multiple people tell us how great our music was. During our meeting Shawn got to know us and what our vision was. We gave a lot of freedom and told him what our hopes were along with letting him “read the room”. He read the room and there wasn’t a moment throughout the night where people weren’t dancing. Shawn made sure to ask us thorough questions so he understood what we wanted out for our wedding. Day of, Shawn helped to make our ceremony magical with his flawless execution of our selected music. And when the reception came, he had all of our guests out on the floor and dancing for the whole night. Shawn was fantastic! I'll be honest, I was a little skeptical about needing a DJ for our wedding, but I am so glad we brought Shawn in. He was so easy to work with leading up to the event, and was a huge hit with all of our guests. I was very impressed with how he ebb ed & flowed the energy in the room to keep people excited, and knew just how to get people back on the dance floor after we had to pull everyone outside for our last send-off photos with our photographers. Bonus shout out, my wife's parents really wanted a few elements from their culture included, and Shawn was kind, respectful, & helpful through it all. It was a real pleasure working with him, and would not hesitate to recommend him to friends. Also his wife is a wedding planner, so if you happen to want both - they're a great duo!

where do I begin? Shawn has been amazing to work with for the past 20 months over the first phone call where he really sold himself and his wife Lyssa who happens to be a wedding planner/coordinator. He was able to tell us all about him and his business and how he rocked it out on the dance floor! Throughout the 20 months he has sent videos and photos and stayed up to date and we had an amazing call the week prior to then truly making it a long lasting night till the very end with every song and keeping the dance floor alive. He truly is the best dj with the lights the combination of music and his MC experience is so perfect! He had the best announcing for our grand march and participated in our games with the bridal party! We could not have asked for anyone better!! If you are looking for a DJ to keep the dance floor alive all night with truly an all inclusive package he is the guy you are looking for!!! We booked Shawn and Select Vibes DJ after hearing him play at another wedding. We had a blast at that wedding and knew he would make our day just as special. He not only met but FAR EXCEEDED our expectations. Meeting with him was easy and was very organized. We did the final meeting one week before the wedding to keep things fresh. While that did lend some anxiety to me for checking off those to-dos, the result was absolute perfection. He does a great job with the music for our ceremony, our cocktail hour, and the actual reception. He played every single song we had previously requested and was able to match our musical taste exactly, playing songs we loved but had forgotten to request. He had his own transitions and remixes of classic and popular music that pulled everyone to the dance floor. I honestly think I spent the whole night on the dance floor outside of bathroom breaks, and the floor was NEVER empty. There was a slight hiccup with our ceremony and he was so quick to fill it in with music that our guests thought it was scripted. He followed all of our requests for songs. He filled in spots where we were unsure of specific music to play and helped us find the perfect music. He played such incredible songs during our reception that the dance floor was full most of the night! Our guests are STILL raving about how amazing our DJ was, many asked for his info so they can hire him for their weddings. I would recommend him again and again. He is amazing!

He was able to walk us through all of the important things you need to know about hiring a DJ and provided us with really great resources on what kind of music to pick for our night. The night of our wedding, he did such an amazing job!! Everyone was out on the dance floor the entire night - even our venue said they had never seen a DJ keep everyone on the dance floor all night like how Shawn was!! Shawn is stellar! Honestly a wholesome guy and a great easygoing person to work with. He truly is a master at his craft where he knows the perfect music to play at a wedding and always knows how to keep people on the dance floor. He’s great at making sure you get exactly what you need and when you need it throughout your wedding. Even if you have no idea on music or what all songs need to be chosen, he is great at helping out and giving input when needed. He makes the process less stressful and super fun. His communication with us leading up to the wedding was great-he went above and beyond as MC and even made my husband's request of mixing the Macarena with Tyga's version come true! Everything that we wanted was taken into careful consideration. The lights were amazing and it created a great ambiance throughout the venue. The music was played according to what we wanted as well as how the crowd was dancing. Karaoke was a big hit and even the kids joined it. There was professionalism and we were always in the loop! Shawn was a fantastic DJ! For our wedding, Shawn and his assistant Mason made the night very smooth and with easy transitions. I may be biased but we truly had the best wedding ever. I owe 90% of the thanks of that to Shawn. HE KILLED IT. I have never been to a wedding where the seats being empty is because they haven’t left the dance floor. There was not a time that 70% of our guests weren’t dancing. We have received NONSTOP compliments on our music and how much fun they had. As a younger couple I told Shawn I wanted it to feel like a “club” and it was just that. We had the most unforgettable day, in large part due to Select Vibe. Shawn and Mason were key in keeping us on schedule with timely, yet never interruptive, prompts throughout the evening. Shawn's MC capabilities are second to none, and that doesn't even touch on his DJing. Our dance floor was NEVER empty, as the fade in of another song and masterful remixes always kept the energy high and had people running back to the dance floor once they got a refill from the bar. We had numerous people proclaim on how much fun they had to us on that dance floor, and the sheer number of people that remained with us until the lights went up speaks volumes. Hiring Shawn from Select Vibe DJ was one of the best decisions I made for my wedding. Not only is he punctual and professional, but he is the best DJ I have ever heard at a wedding. Shawn plays the music you and your partner request, while also reading the room and creating the best party. I NEVER LEFT THE DANCE FLOOR AT MY WEDDING. He truly was that good of a DJ, that I danced all night. Many of my guests complimented him and said how amazing the music was. People hardly left the dance floor and he did an amazing job of accommodating the bride and groom's tastes with requests. Very easy to work with, friendly and fun. Worked with our day of coordinator to keep us up to date on the schedule for the night. Shawn was absolutely amazing! We had so much fun at our wedding. He kept the dance floor FULL the entire night. All of our wedding guests had such a great time and everyone was raving about what a great job he did. He definitely helped make our wedding one to remember!

Shawn was absolutely amazing for our NYE wedding! We received so many compliments from guests of all ages regarding the music all night long. He was extremely responsive throughout the entire wedding planning process, and made sure to tailor specific details to our day. We would recommend Shawn to everyone! Thank you for keeping our guests entertained all night long! We had a packed dance floor and and we owe much of that to the quality of the music and the energy Shawn brought to our event. We had Shawn DJ our wedding this past weekend and 100% recommend Select Vibe! He made sure to get a feel for our personal taste and overall plan for the evening and made sure everything went off without a hitch. Shawn was an amazing DJ! We wanted a DJ who would turn the wedding into a dance party without needing much involvement from us - Shawn totally delivered. The dancefloor was packed all night with a great range of songs. He was at the venue basically all day making sure everything was set, and even helped us show a youtube video to guests during dinner. We thought the pricing was reasonable as well. Overall highly recommend!

Shawn was GREAT. He had an initial meeting with us for our wedding planning and it was very laid back and exactly what we were looking for. Then, we had a meeting a few days before the wedding to finalize everything. Day of, everyone was blown away at how great Shawn was! A lot of people said "Best DJ Ever!" As the bride, I was so happy that Shawn played the music we discussed. He was also great at keeping it "clean" when needed! I speak for everyone at our wedding when I say he was the best and I HIGHLY recommend using him if you are looking for a fun time!
