to a few DJ/DJ companies regarding the acoustics and general cost of having a DJ. There were DJs who refused to even talk with us or be transparent with pricing until we had determined a venue- but not Jay at Selective Sound. He immediately sat down and scheduled a zoom call with us and laid everything out. He was honest with his experiences at the different venues we were discussing and let us know some venues would be a little more expensive on their end because of the acoustics. However, he always reassured us no matter what we picked for a venue- he could support the space (as they had been there before) and it was our wedding, so we decided what we wanted as a couple. He was SO detailed about his explanations, and it really helped us feel that we could trust him and his staff. For our wedding, we truly couldn’t have asked for a better DJ (Jordan Grant)! From the very first song to the last dance, the energy on the dance floor was absolutely electric. Our guests were up and dancing all night long- and honestly, so were we! As the bride, there were multiple times throughout the night I tried to sneak away for a drink, but was quickly running back for whatever song came next! We got so many compliments from our guests throughout the night and after the wedding- everyone kept asking who our DJ was and remarking on how fantastic he was. He truly set the tone for an unforgettable celebration. Beyond the amazing music, Jordan handled every detail and last-minute change with total professionalism and grace. Our timeline ran a little behind, but he rolled with it effortlessly and reassured us that everything was okay. That kind of attitude meant the world during a busy day.
