Sensational Foods Catering

in our opinion, the lack of clear communication led to several mistakes in our catering services and caused us significant stress in the weeks leading up to the wedding. One issue for us was that they served a beer + wine bar, rather than the full bar we had contracted them to provide. Secondly, our wedding reception was located adjacent to a well-trafficked area, so we were concerned about the possibility of crashers and voiced our concern to SF. While they assured us that their staff was experienced in dealing with uninvited guests, we still ended up with a pair of crashers wearing jeans who were served at the bar. My sister-in-law ended up escorting them out. While the aforementioned issues are substantial, perhaps our biggest complaint is about the lack of communication. For example, approximately 2 months before the event, we requested some modifications to our menu, and asked for an updated invoice. However, we never received this, despite our repeated requests via phone, email, and in person. We did not receive the floor plan for our reception until ~3AM the day before our wedding, and when we did receive it, the number of tables was incorrect, and the layout did not match what we had discussed. To their credit, SF owned up to their mistakes and reimbursed us for the services that weren’t fulfilled to our satisfaction. Overall, we had wanted was a stress-free wedding day, with the details taken care of by the vendors we had hired to do so. But, in our opinion, working with Sensational Foods did not provide us with such a smooth, stress-free experience.

e happy and well-fed. We even had a server (Colleen!) dedicated to my wife and I all night which made us feel so VIP. Thank you Sensational Foods for a fantastic night we'll never forget!

family feel. That all changed the moment we met the team from Sensational Foods! My wife and I attended the LGBTQ Rainbow Wedding Expo in the fall of 2017 and Sensational Foods was presenting their signature Mac & Cheese and Buffalo Chicken Mac & Cheese….Awesomeeee! (In my best Whitney Houston falsetto). We left the expo, called the very next day and our time together is now etched in history. Logan Ferraro worked with us form day 1 to our BIG day. He listened to our ideas, heard our concerns and developed a menu and budget to get us started and the brain juices flowing. If felt easy and nothing about planning a wedding for 130 people is easy. The tasting was personalized and felt like sitting in a friend’s kitchen……The food was AMAZING! Our family is made up of vegans, vegetarians, carnivores and gluten free folks, and it was important that we didn’t loose any of the flavor. HA - 3 weeks later and our family is still talking about the tacos and corn bread. Uncle Murphy said, “I don’t like tacos but those tacos made me a fan.” Oh let’s not forget we had 2 dates. A wedding date and a reception date. We were married on a Thursday evening with 20 friends and family. Initially we were taking everyone out to dinner BUT following the tasting we added Sensational Foods to that event as well. Opted for delivery to our home earlier in the day with reheating instructions. BEST veggie lasagna I ever had! Thank you Logan. From the moment we met to our 2 big dates, you are as sensational as the the name states. I see your team in our future… Until next time.

in the process (about a year before), and then we also had a walk through at the venue to talk through details about 3 months before. They were super accommodating for guests with dietary restrictions, including keeping some corn tortillas in the back for our gluten free guests. Sensational Foods also delivered food to the bridal party the day of the wedding while we were getting ready, so I can vouch for their lunch food as well! Stacy was our point of contact along the way, and she is the best! She kept me sane throughout the process, offering tips/tricks/advice and just a listening ear. She kept the whole thing organized and seamlessly passed off our event to the day-of staff. They made sure my husband and I were getting enough to eat and drink, and they managed clean up quickly and efficiently. They also flipped the room from ceremony to reception seamlessly during cocktail hour. Highly recommend!
