About this vendor

Seraphina Divine Beauty is a wedding beauty company based in Ballston Spa, NY. For over four years, this talented group of artists has been beautifying customers across upstate New York in preparation for their special day. Close friendships with their clients are the secret to this company’s success. They simply want to help you have the happiest day possible. Autumn Wright owns Seraphina Divine Beauty and is an experienced professional in the beauty industry. Before returning to her home state of New York, she was a licensed beauty technician in Tennessee, having graduated from The Hair Academy in Fayetteville, TN. Once she had moved back to New York in 2015, she decided to start her own company. Autumn had plenty of experience in working at salons and weddings but always under the leadership of others. She finds inspiration in collaborating with clients and bringing their ideas into being, as it means that she is constantly learning and being creative. Seraphina Divine Beauty offers a mobile service. They are happy to travel to wherever you may be on the morning of your wedding, so you can relax in familiar surroundings. You are also welcome to meet her in-salon for a pampering session. Autumn is well educated on the use of Schwarzkopf products. In particular, she is an expert at using their colors on customers who want a more drastic change. She offers hair trials for clients to see what style works best with their chosen hair accessories or outfit neckline.

I'm not really a big hair and makeup person, so I wasn't sure at first what I wanted to do for my wedding. Autumn was super helpful at my trial. We tried a couple different looks a...

nd I decided on a soft makeup with a half-up, half-down hairstyle with braids and curls. The day of the wedding, two stylists (one hair, one makeup) travelled early in the morning to our wedding venue in Warrensburg. They were friendly and worked efficiently for hours getting all seven of us into and out of their chairs in perfect time for photos and to finish getting ready for the ceremony. I was so happy with how it all turned out and felt absolutely beautiful the entire day. It was incredible how the hair and makeup stayed locked in after 10+ hours of indoor and outdoor sweating, dancing, and many many happy tears.

Autumn was incredibly talented and I enjoyed speaking with her in person. She did a great job on my hair the day of and all my bridesmaids looked beautiful. Pricing was fair and co...

mparable to other wedding hair and make-up artists. For a fee, she traveled to the venue which was helpful. Where I really struggled with this vendor was with communication. It was difficult to receive timely responses. I was often reaching out more than once to prompt a response. This caused a lot of stress and unease on my end. I had also sent my stylist my updated half-up hairstyle inspiration photo twice, and the day of the wedding, she had an outdated photo from our trial as the intended style. I received an incorrect bill initially as well, and had to do the math myself and request an updated contract. Lastly, I am thankful this vendor was able to get two assistants to help out on the day of the wedding, but one of them was not very friendly. We were pressed for time, and she declined doing hair for one of the bridesmaids because she "was only contracted to do 3" bridesmaid's hairstyles. This put strain on the timeline. Overall, the work was done well, but the time management the day of and the communication could have been better.

All and all everything turned out okay hair wise, although, the issue was Autumn tried to scam myself and my wedding party. When emailing and getting the contract from her, she was...

very flaky and lacked in answering in a timely fashion and never signed the contract. She was also not up to date on current hairstyles. I originally contacted her for a certain number of girls to be done. Late on, three girls backed out of getting their hair done and I asked Autumn if this was okay, to which she agreed with an email CONFIRMING and said she would just not be bringing an assistant. I sent her a new contract with the updated information, to which she never got back to me about signing it on her end, she kept giving excuses. After the wedding, she contacted me saying I owed her all this money for the three girls that hadn't been done but were contracted for on top of the $100 deposit I had given her prior to the wedding. I sent her the proof of the new contract and her email in which she confirmed that it was okay not all the girls were getting their hair done any longer. She then stated "she will take the hit"- when in the end she did get paid for all the services she provided. I find this shameful to do especially adding on stress to a bride that just got married.
