About this vendor
Hi! My name is Serena, A little bit fun, a little bit odd, all wrapped up into mint chocolate chip icecream. I work with my husband, Dave. So I’m that girl. You know, that disney princess style hopeless romantic. The one who bawls her eyes out at a theater, reads way too many fantasy style romance novels, and believes that faeries really did steal your car keys and shove them under the bed. I love, love and have over 10 years of experience capturing it. I adore all the little moments that tell the story of your day. We help guide you with timeline building to make sure your day is fun, relaxed and stress free! PS: We have a soft spot for themed weddings (We had an Alice in Wonderland one!) I've also been named one of the top ten up and coming studios by Professional Photographer's Mag!

Serena, Dave and Dru were excellent from start to finish. They worked extremely hard on a very hot day to make sure that every shot was taken care of. They were able to breeze thro...
ugh our list of portraits so we were able to enjoy our cocktail hour which was very important to us. They all had great personalities and were very pleasant to work with. We haven't gotten all of our photos back yet but the ones that we have seen were outstanding and I have no doubt the others will be as well. On top of all this Serena was extremely reasonable and if you book her at one of her preferred venues she even throws in a little discount. Couldn't be happier with our choice and would recommend her to anyone who asks!
Serena Star and her staff go above and beyond to make sure your photography experience is truly incredible. I have done several photo shoots with Serena, including solo, couples, a...
nd my wedding! Every time I work with Serena, she takes the time to understand my vision for the shoot, and with a wedding she sincerely gets to know your unique love story. She finds out what matters to you and magically expresses that in your images. Serena is also keenly aware and respectful of what each person is comfortable with regarding personal insecurities, and will apply light editing to ensure your confidence in the photos.
If you are seeking a professional photographer who cares about your happiness as a client and respects you as an individual, you have come to the right place. Serena has integrity and is a truly talented artist who puts her heart into her work.
Serena, Dave, and her brother were the most amazing team. If you are looking for a photographer, they are the ones. Period. If I could give them over a 5 star rating I would. If yo...
u want to know more, please read below but long story short, you should book them. Go. Right now.
Living in a different state but getting married in NJ, Serena was so accommodating and easy to book with. She answered all of our questions and very clearly laid out expectations.
Fast forward to the wedding day, she came to my aunt's house where the girls were getting ready while Dave went to the parent's house ("wedding venue") to work with the guys. From what my husband told me, they had a ton of fun with Dave and said "Oh yea, Dave was awesome." Serena came in while I was getting my hair done and told me to relax and just show her where a few things were and she went to work. She was so incredibly easy to work with and helped us take really fun and cute poses with my bridesmaids.
We did a first look with them and it didn't even feel like they were there. They then helped my husband and I take SO MANY PHOTOS that I didn't even realize until I saw the online gallery. We then did formals before the wedding with our family and bridal party. I had told Serena a list of combinations I wanted and she had them printed out and ready to go. Throughout it, I kinda started to take over and call people over (Sorry Serena!) but she was super accommodating. She told me that it was totally cool but just let her know so she could check it off the sheet and make sure I got all the ones I wanted. During the ceremony and throughout the reception you wouldn't even know they were there. Of course they were and we interacted, but they were such a great presence and I knew I didn't have to worry about photos at all that I could just put my phone away and relax!
The absolute best part of the night was that it actually rained (more drizzled) right after the ceremony and into the night. She had brought a clear umbrella just in case it did end up raining and brought it out. Boy did we play. We had so much fun dancing and taking pictures in the rain and they were 100% there for it. They made everything feel fun and joyful and we just had a blast.
Everything I've mentioned so far has been my reactions/feelings before I'd even seen the photos. Now that I have, I am BLOWN AWAY by the quality, artistry, and sheer breathtaking shots they were able to get. I have never been more ecstatic to see photos in my life. The are stunning. And the creative shots they were able to get and produce was amazing. I cannot sing their praises more. They are worth every cent spent and I would 100% go back to them the next time I need photos taken (and have fun doing it!)
We used Serena and her husband for our engagement pictures, wedding photo, and wedding videography and we couldn’t be happier!!! They made us feel so comfortable (which being very ...
awkward in pictures I needed) throughout our day! Not to mention, the pictures came out GORGEOUS!!! They have a creative eye for finding many unique spots I would never thought of!! They kept the time line of the day running smoothly and were there from start to finish! Our pictures and video came out incredible and we know we made the best choice!! Also, they are both awesome people which helps. 🙌🏻 Definitely book!!

d bridal parties and she organized a clear and manageable timeline so that we could get all of our photos done and still have time to actually enjoy our wedding. We are so happy with the photos she has provided, the only hold up has been on our end, since we love so many pictures we haven't been able to select the ones we want her to print. Hire her and her team!

ictures taken, but when we met for our engagement session - Serena and Dave made it feel like a fun get together rather than a photo session. They understood our quirkiness! We had our engagement session between a winery and the beach in Cape May. Every time we thought we were done - there was another amazing shift in colors in the sky that Serena just loved! Our wedding day was no exception - even if the bottom 1/4 of my dress ended up in the ocean - if it wasn't for the fact we had the rest of the reception to get thru - Hubby and I would have no problem jumping in the ocean for her! I haven't gotten any of the wedding / reception pictures back yet - but I know they are going to be amazing!
I can't say enough about Serena and her team at my wedding. 1 year later, we still cherish every photo and video she took on our wedding day. She was everything we could have imagi...
ned, and more. I loved all of the natural pictures she caught. We were able to get all of our traditional posed family/friend pictures and also enjoy a ton of fun, natural photos of us. This team went above and beyond my expectations. I didn't have a wedding planner and Serena even went as far as getting a time line together for me to plan when everyone needed to arrive and where to go, it was amazing. Thank you, thank you, thank you from the bottom of our hearts.

ve her share the day with us. Her assistant (brother) and husband Dave were simply incredible as well. I cannot express more joy in seeing our day as Serena did through her lens!
Do not look any further....book Serena now!!!!! There are so many great things to say about Serena, I do not know where to begin. Her whole aura makes wedding and engagement photos...
so much fun. She is like a spark of magic that loves every bit of detail there is in any setting. I first noticed Serena's work through liked photos on Instagram. Once I visited her page, I was amazed and the quality of her pictures. They stood out to me more than other photographer's pages because it seemed that more effort was put into her pictures. Once we had a phone conference (after a failed attempt at a skype conference on my end lol), I knew that my thoughts on Serena were correct. She was so down to earth and energetic. I was simply amazed at her love for photography and knew that we had to have her for our wedding.
For our engagement shoot, Serena suggested Longwood Gardens, and she could not have picked a better place! Her husband Dave accompanied her and they shot the absolute best photos of us. There was so much color, lighting, and a few extras that Serena and Dave were clever enough to think of! Fast forward to the wedding day. Serena showed up with her same fantastic energy and loving life...making all of us smile with how into all of the wedding materials that she photographed. She came with wonderful ideas on poses and shots, it was amazing. After our ceremony, she made it her mission to get as many beautiful shots as she could since we were running behind on time. I appreciate that she made an effort to take her time so that we wouldn't have any crazy pictures due to the rush for wanting to still have things run on time. What I appreciate the most about Serena and Dave is that they stayed until the very end of the reception when they did not have to, especially since the package that we purchased, had them ending about an hour and a half before the reception was over. That showed great professionalism and that Serena cares about her clients enough to make sure they capture every detail until time runs out. That made me feel like I had chosen the right photographer to not only capture our special day, but also treat us like more than a client. Serena is very passionate about what she does and it shows immediately! I do plan on continuing to work with Serena in the future on Boudoir shots. I also plan on recommending Serena to all couples that I know who are on the search. Serena is it! Trust me!

at hands! We trusted them fully with our day and allowing her to do what she does best. We were not let down! Our wedding photos are AMAZING- one after the next. Serena was a joy to work with, she was FUN (she even got in the dance floor with me- which was a blast!), very personable and caring, and most importantly she is so talented at what she does. Photography was one of our most important priorities for our wedding and we were blown away. Look no further for a photographer- book Serena!! HIGHLY RECOMMENDED. ⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️

huge bonus is that she is also super sweet! Planning a wedding and coordinating vendors is so stressful, but working with someone like Serena was just the best. Her prices are so reasonable, she takes so many photos and they are all gorgeous! We used Serena for both our engagement photos and the wedding, both sets turned out stunning. She knows exactly when to get the best light and it shows in her work. What we really loved about her is that she takes time to get to know the couples she works with; to see what's important for her to capture on the day and to show a little bit of our personality as well. What you don't realize is how much time you spend with your photographer on your wedding day, so you should pick someone that you feel comfortable with and get along with. We all had so much fun hanging with Serena, her husband, Dave and her assistant. Recommend them 1000x over!!

hat we wanted. We get so many compliments on our photos and style that makes them unique. I would never use another photographer, we are customers for life!!

ional preparedness and beautifully taken photos, it was such a wonderful, memorable experience having them shoot our wedding. Me and my bridal team were so behind schedule getting our makeup done and Serena took the initiative to speak with our limo drivers and present me with options of where to take our portrait photos and still make it to the ceremony all time. This was above from what I expected her to do and I'm so grateful to her for it because I was able to keep my sanity and we were able to take our amazing photos and be on time! An additional bonus is the turn around time for photos!! I didn't expect to get them as soon as we did; AND she also provides teaser photos soon after the wedding so that you have something to look at in the meantime!! Serena is amazing and I highly recommend her to others as the TOP wedding photographer in the area!
Serena and her husband, Dave, were absolutely amazing and surpassed any expectation we had!!! Serena was our engaged photographer and we couldn't have asked for any better pictures...
. There is no doubt that she completely loves her job. During our photo shoot she was patient, EXTREMELY creative, accommodating, and Serena has a knack for making things organic. She took her time during the entire photo shoot and we had so much fun with them. Our pictures were absolutely beautiful and she provided a variety of different techniques and tricks.

ly Ever After Party, (after we eloped reception) and she was able to capture all of the special details and all of the fun too. I'm so happy with my pictures and so thankful I can relive that night every time I look at them.
Serena is the absolute best! We worked with her for engagement shots and for wedding day photography. She truly knows her craft and made us feel comfortable in front of the camera....
She worked with us to find a location between us for the engagement session (even donning ice skates to work our first date into the session!) and helped us plan out the wedding day events to get the most out of her time with us. She's great and we 100% recommend her!

nt session we wanted to incorporate a pin-up style Minnie & Mickey theme since we got engaged in Disney. Serena didn't only do an amazing job, but completely nailed our expectations. Our wedding was three months later and in-between that time Serena was an essential asset to our planning. She has incredible talent with save-the-dates, invitation design, and a true eye for what the wedding day was supposed to look like. My husband and I were blown away with her ability to convert our visions to realities. We also had the pleasure of working with Serena's new service of videography- which turned out to be something I couldn't imagine myself living without. Even though our wedding day was only one day- Serena has made memories that will last us a lifetime!
Serena did a AMAZING job. Couldnt ask for anyone better. She captured every single detail that we asked for and then some. She went above and beyond the services she offered.

Truly shes should be rated 10 stars!
When looking for a photographer I wanted someone that really captured the moment and who took pictures that were not as 'posed' as others. I went to a bridal show and found Serena ...
and was so happy I did! She had only done a few weddings before mine but I instantly fell in love with the pictures. She owns her own business so you really get a one on one experience with her right from the beginning. She has gone to school for photography and graphic design which really shows in her pictures. My husband and I had her do our engagement session and we knew right away that our wedding pictures would be amazing. She has a good eye and even though you don't think the picture will be good it ends up being your favorite one! I did a boudoir shoot for my hubby to give him on the wedding day (something she specializes in) and I could not have been more comfortable. She has been so easy to talk to throughout the whole process and really made us feel comfortable. On the wedding day she brought a second photographer who was just as awesome as Serena. I have only seen a teaser of my pictures but I know it will be such a tough decision picking out ones for my wedding album! Your pictures are forever, maybe even the most important thing from your wedding, you want someone that takes the time and really appreciates what he/she does. That's Serena. I highly recommend her to anyone looking for a photographer in South Jersey!
We had a great experience from start to finsih!!!! We had a photo booth and 4 photographers that caught every moment perfectly!!! ABOVE AND BEYOND!!!!!!!
