nation 2 months before and direction of the rehearsal and wedding day. First of all, Carrie Ann was a pleasure to work with. She was easy-going and very flexible to meet with me (I was planning from out of town). She kept a binder with just my wedding plans and was very organized! She had the timeline figured out weeks in advance and sent out to all my vendors with each other's contact info so everyone was on the same page. She also had relationships with some of the vendors which made them much easier to work with. At the rehearsal, Carrie Ann made the process move as quickly and easily as I could imagine it to be. She somehow got the groomsmen in line (which is like herding cats) and kept everyone on the same page so we could get out of there as soon as possible while knowing what we needed to do. On the day of the wedding, I honestly didn't worry about a thing. Anything that popped into my head, I spoke with Carrie Ann or one of the girls working for her and it was taken care of. Anything from making sure the tables have the right number of place settings to calling the vendors the night before ensuring the right lighting to making sure my purse and suitcase were moved from my mom's car to the getaway car. I honestly could not be more pleased with my experience with Serendipity Events. If you're on the fence about hiring a wedding planner, DO IT! And hire Serendipity Events!

ecessary stress to the entire planning process. The biggest issue was the fact that she is so unorganized (especially with her horrible excel spreadsheets) that she messed up our entire budget! The month of our wedding we realized that she went over by a couple thousand dollars! She repeatedly said that our budget was “so tight” and that it wasn’t really possible to meet our budget ($15,000, by the way). We know this isn’t true because there are couples out there having weddings for $5,000 and making it work. This is why we hired her; she’s supposed to make it happen. This error caused us to remove a ton of items from our wedding at the last minute just to bring it back under budget. She never even apologized. On that same note, when we hired her she said she would not have any other weddings the week before or after ours… this promise was broken and she booked a wedding every single weekend around our wedding. Since she was busy with other weddings, her attention was spent handling the stress of the 2 weddings surrounding ours. We think this is why a lot of things did not turn out the way we were told they would. Her communication skills are horrible. She never initiated phone calls and communicated everything through email. This might have been ok, but she ended up misinterpreting a lot of emails and instead of calling us for clarity, would just send a very rude and snide email in return. We were also promised numerous conference calls during the 11-month planning period and only had 2 or 3. She resorted to emails instead. She also was not nearly as creative as she first claimed to be. She never came up with ideas and waited until the last minute to act on things. We had 11 months to plan the wedding and she pretty much started everything 3 months prior. We could have saved a lot of money, and reduced a lot of stress by not hiring her.

r photos I see another little element that made our day beautiful. I still have family and friends talk about the reception and how gorgeous it was. I couldn't have done this without her!
