Serene Events

We had a great private yoga class taught at Serene for a bachelorette party! Our group was staying downtown but wanted to spend the afternoon on Folly, so it worked out perfectly to rent Serene for sunset yoga. It was raining the day of our class but Forrest was super responsive and was able to accommodate us outside despite the rain! The ambience and lighting was perfect and the yoga instructor, Lauren, was awesome. I would highly recommend hosting a yoga class at Serene as a fun bachelorette activity while in Charleston!

We hosted a yoga event for 15 people during my bachelorette weekend at Serene. It was magical! We had the event at dusk. The lights in the backyard created an amazing ambience. We were able to use the bathroom in the house, which was very attractive and convenient. And after the yoga, we stayed to enjoy the fire pit, a few drinks and making s’mores.

Wow-what is not to LOVE about Forrest and his magical venue?! It was SO easy to work with Forrest and plan everything for our rehearsal dinner and it was an event that everyone will be talking about for years! Forrest always has a smile for everyone, no matter what you are asking of him. He's easy to work with, accommodating and just a super friendly, genuinely nice person-something hard to find in todays world. He knows EVERYTHING about Folly so can help direct you with anything you need on the Island. Event was super easy to arrange, Forrest has contacts who can handle everything which made our lives super easy-Forrest & his contacts set up tables & chairs, bar area and everything else we needed. The venue itself is totally AWESOME-day or night! Gorgeous yard with complimentary landscaping offers plenty of space for tables for a sit down dinner with a separate bar area and other areas for setting up the food which meant there was no crowd at any one location-super wonderful during COVID! Outdoor space included several decks with seating, a fire pit, swing, walkway to the treetops, cafe lighting, lanterns and more. Perfect location-our group shut down things at Forrest's and then walked to Center Street for more entertainment! Several people commented on the awesome setting and location. It was beautiful at dusk and got even better (if that's possible) as the lights came on. It is serene & private. Others could not say enough about what a super awesome host Forrest is-fun, super helpful & considerate. Bride, Groom & both families were so happy we chose this venue!
