My wife and I are very happy we hired Seth Morris photography for our wedding at Starved Rock. Seth and Mary did a great job throughout the day in creating a timeline for our pictures and communicating where everyone in our wedding party needed to be and when. Seth and Mary had a great dynamic together and made the day fun and a relaxed atmosphere for everyone. Seth and Mary were familiar with Starved Rock as a venue which was fantastic as they knew great locations for pictures before the wedding and capturing the ceremony and reception as well. Mary was always available for questions during the planning period and thorough regarding some pre-wedding questions she had us complete to know what shots we wanted and who we wanted them with. We loved the pictures! They did an excellent job capturing the day and we are very happy. The turnaround time for receiving our photos after the wedding was very timely and they did a great job editing and finalizing the pictures as well. We are very happy we chose Seth and Mary Morris for our wedding photography and highly recommend them for weddings.

I could not be happier with the service from Seth & Mary. From the initial meeting, they really took the time to get to know us and tailor our photos to us. My wedding was in the middle of a snowstorm and they braved the cold and still helped us achieve the most beautiful pictures I could ever imagine. We laughed the whole time and had amazing results. I cannot stop staring at my photos. Seth and Mary were a dream to work with!

Mary and Seth were AMAZING to work with! When talking to both of them I feel like a friend like I’ve known them for years. They are super helpful and always open to ideas. I was nervous going into it, but from our engagement photo session, I knew we made the right choice on choosing them for our photography and videographer. The wedding pictures turned out incredible! I honestly could not have asked for better pictures! I love their style and the way they work. They work together so well it amazes me that they are married and work together they are such a strong and amazing couple to work with! I definitely can’t wait to see our video and am so grateful to have chosen Mary and Seth. If I had to redo it all, I would still choose them for photography and videography! Working with Seth and Mary was just perfect. From the very first phone call, Mary was so easy to get along with and it was effortless to form that initial relationship with her! The month leading up to the wedding was crucial with communication to just make all the last decisions leading up to the wedding to make sure everything would be perfect. The day of was so effortless because both Seth and Mary are the experts and they definitely know what they are doing! Mary expertly helped in a crisis when my sister’s dress zipper broke before pictures and then also helped sew her into the dress! Such a life saver! During the whole time of taking pictures, we were all so comfortable and easy going that they captured all of our personalities perfectly. They knew the best spots around Starved Rock to take pictures that came out beautifully. All of our pictures turned out even more amazing than I thought they would! You will seriously not regret hiring this fantastic duo!

Seth and Mary are absolutely amazing! We worked with them for both our engagement photo shoot and wedding day. Their pictures captured our emotions and who we are as a couple beautifully and they both are an absolute joy to be with. They helped us with our timeline and were quick to answer questions before and during our wedding day. I also have to give them a huge shoutout for being amazing with a toddler and infant during family photos!! It was a pleasure to work with them and we are eternally grateful for their work!

We could not be happier with Seth & Mary all around! Their work, their communication and just as people- they're great! Mary made sure communication was easy. I can't thank her enough for being there to bustle my dress as well! Seth was so kind in making sure we didn't fall while trekking into the canyon at Starved Rock (they know the best spots for pictures!), holding my bouquet and water and even had a handkerchief ready for my bridesmaids' flowers that were still wet. You really do get more than just photographers when you work with them. You spend so much time with your wedding photographers on your day so make sure you enjoy being around them (which we absolutely did!)

Seth and Mary are incredible. They were flexible and enthusiastic. We dealt with several covid postponements and each time they were incredible. Their photos came out incredible and the site they use is really easy to use and share. I can't say enough about how they helped make our day special. Also if you need something done, Mary will get it done. Have people that won't get in the right spot for photos? Just let Mary know, and they will be haha. I would use the 100 times over.

We just had Seth and Mary for our wedding on Jan 8th, 2022 at Starved Rock. They were beyond phenomenal! Mary kept us on track all day so we never missed a shot but we never felt rushed and Seth knew just how to bond with each member of the party to make them feel comfortable and ready to smile for pictures. Everything felt natural and fun but the pictures were STUNNING! They took us down to the canyons for ice waterfalls and they delivered shots that were beyond my wildest dreams. If you are thinking of having a wedding in the Starved Rock area, I cannot recommend them enough. You will not be disappointed.

We LOVED Seth and Mary! They are a fun, easy going couple who worked so well with one another and with our wedding party. I could tell that they love their jobs and truly care about what they're doing for newlyweds and their families- providing beautiful photos that encapsulate the moment while making sure that the act of posing for the photos is a great memory for your wedding day. They are organized and efficient, and they know how to keep everything on schedule- even when our young kiddos were all over the place and when our wedding party started to get a little wild on the party bus 😉 Another part that I was so appreciative of was that Mary communicated often and well through phone calls, text, and email. It was comforting for me to know that while I was very anxious (as brides are on their wedding day), she knew where to be and where I needed to be during the time before the ceremony, in between, and even as the reception began with the cake cutting, introductions, etc. And the photos are amazing! I spent 2 years planning my wedding and I had it October 2021. I had contacted them at the beginning of planning and got a quick and comical response to my clueless email. (I was clueless). Seth and Mary captured my wedding so perfectly that looking at the pictures, I cry because I can still feel the emotions from that night in the pictures. I was so worried because I am not photogenic, but they did absolutely amazing! Seth and Mary were funny, professional, just absolutely the most amazing people who were at my wedding! If you need a photographer, please contact them!!! You will not ever be disappointed!

If you are getting married at Starved Rock these are your photographers. My husband and I are from Chicago, so we listened to Jennifer Roulston (Starved Rock) recommendations and were incredibly pleased with our choice. I also recommend doing a first look so that you can go to all the locations Starved Rock offers, there is a picture Seth took in the caves that literally looks like a picture taken out of "The Princess Bride". I am going to be in trouble because I will be ordering at least 50 pictures from the rocks because they all came out so beautiful! They're very familiar and comfortable with all the beautiful spots in Starved Rock to take pictures, so you'll be in great hands! Mary also keeps you on track which is very helpful with a bunch of rowdy groomsmen! Again, gorgeous photos, if you're getting married at Starved Rock they are worth every penny!

If I could give Seth and Mary 100 stars I would! I will never be able to express my sincere gratitude and appreciation for them! I first met them when I worked weddings and events a few years prior and loved how they worked with the venue and ensured that everyone was on the same page to allow for a seamless, easy, and relaxing day for the couple. As a bride and groom using them for a wedding it was event more amazing. They are so FUNNNN! Literally feels like your family is photographing your wedding. They keep you on track, aren't afraid to direct you and your bridal party for the best photos, and are so funny that don't even realize your being photographed. My husband and I planned three different weddings and three different dates because of the pandemic and Seth and Mary kept up with all my crazy changes! They are spectacular!

We are getting married in September now but originally we were supposed to be married in June. Mary and Seth have been the biggest help staying sane throughout this whole process and I do not know what I would be doing right now without them. They even let us do a mini photo shoot on what should have been our wedding day to help cheer us up. I would recommend them for your big bad so fast!! They not only provide amazing photos for you but also will be there for when you need it no matter what happens before the day or on the big day.

When Chris and I got married, I knew that it was going to be one of the happiest days of our lives together. We were concerned that our photos might not reflect that, as we both feel so stiff and unnatural in photos. This was needless worry, as Seth and Mary helped make us so comfortable with our wedding photographs, and they captured the true joy we felt that day. Our engagement pictures out in the snow are absolutely magical, and our wedding photos are out of a fairy tale. Seth and Mary captured some amazing candid and impromptu moments throughout the day, in addition to gorgeous shots that they staged. They helped us feel natural and light during group photographs, and these little touches really show in the genuine smiles captured throughout the day. My husband and I chose Seth Morris Photography because they came highly recommended by Starved Rock Lodge. We are SO HAPPY we picked them. Neither of us are very photogenic and Mary Morris made sure to make the pictures fun and relaxed. We used Seth Morris Photography for both engagement and wedding day photos. The engagement photos turned out beautifully and we cannot wait to see the wedding photos!

Where do I even begin, Seth and Mary are seriously the best! I could not be happier with the photographers we chose for our big day. They helped us every step of the way. My husband and I did engagement pictures with them and they instantly made us feel comfortable, so we knew the wedding day photography was going to be great! They arw so down to earth and very helpful. They go above and beyond what any other wedding photographers would do. Mary helped me with my dress all day while doing pictures, helping me carry my train and as well ad bustling it. She was a pro at it! Seth was prepared with a sweat rag for my husband (he tends to sweat a lot) and made sure he was picture ready the whole time! They are really the best photographers, they make you feel comfortable in front of the camera and take such genuine pictures. They are really great people and we are looking forward havinging them for any photography needs in our future.

My husband and I got married at Starved Rock on July 14, and Mary & Seth were VITAL to making the day go smoothly. We are incredibly grateful for everything they did way above and beyond photography. We planned our wedding from out-of-state and were operating with many unknowns about the venue and day-of details. Mary and Seth were there with us, throughout most of the day, to answer those questions and provide advice when we needed. My favorite part of the wedding was taking the trolley to a new location at the park, where it was pouring rain. We patiently waited the rain out for 20 minutes. Then we got going on the super slick, muddy path. Some of us gave up on shoes, including Seth, who literally carried me over a muddy patch. My bridesmaids told me that when Mary almost fell, while holding my bouquet and her camera, she made sure to protect the bouquet. Most of all, we loved how Mary and Seth worked together. Assertively, but politely telling family members where to stand, and creatively distracting kids. They were also up for all the extra photos we asked them to take the day-of. Thank you. They clearly know what they are doing, and have tons of experience. We also did a engagement session with Mary, and she might be the only person who gets me to smile with teeth! We loved those photos, and I suspect the wedding day photos will be even better. Mary and Seth are wonderful human beings, plus excellent professional photographers. We remain grateful to them!

Seth and Mary are the best! They are so helpful with all parts of your day! They worked well with a large group of family and were very flexible the day of! We cant wait to use Seth and Mary in the future as our family grows!

These two.. not sure where to begin. They were not only kind, organized, and efficient while shooting our wedding, but they continued to make us laugh and have a unique and fun photography experience. My bridal party and I all said we had never had photographers capture true laughs with the camera. Everything was so natural and easy. They were also amazing with my nieces and nephews & getting them to smile for pictures. Mary also helped guide us during the reception from the entrance to the cake cutting, etc. Both Seth and Mary made sure every picture we wanted was taken and that we felt comfortable throughout the process. We cannot recommend them enough and will definitely be using them again in the future!

Seth and Mary are amazing to work with! They are very down to earth and fun to be around. I was SO worried about pictures because my husband definitely is NOT a picture guy, but Seth and Mary were great with him, they got the job done quickly and even caught him smiling multiple times! We got both our engagement and wedding pictures by them. The pictures turned out absolutely amazing. My mom said "these are the best wedding pictures I have ever seen" and I totally agree with her! They make picture taking FUN and I could not recommend them enough for your pictures!

AMAZING photographers! Not only do they take gorgeous pictures, but they bring a professional yet personal approach to the entire day. Mary is so calming during a pretty chaotic wedding day. She steps right in and directs everyone where they need to be. She is organized, funny and just pleasant to be around. Seth works so well with Mary during the entire day. Their teamwork and creative eye really put the icing on the cake! This isn't the first event we have hired them to do. They have photographed a few other family weddings, both our of kids senior pictures, family photo shoots, and several photo shoots for our family business. I would 100% recommend them for any photography events which is why we keep coming back to them!

My fiance is picture wary. He wants pictures, but hates posing. He told me right after our wedding that day of, Seth is the one who made him feel right at home and ready to take the photos. Mary, was my angel that day. They improvised a new photo site when the trails were too muddy, she let me wipe my sweaty brow on her shirt when no one had tissues, and they filled us with joy and were so great and flexible around our wants and desires. And, oh, did I mention that the pictures were ABSOLUTELY GORGEOUS! I've never seen a picture of my fiance and I where I felt like it captured us. These photos were the most honest and intimate photos of everyone in our lives. I couldn't be more grateful to Seth and Mary for sharing in our day and capturing our special moments. Booking Seth Morris Photography for our wedding was the first decision we made. Seth & Mary did a wedding for a friend of mine years ago, and I knew since then I wanted them to shoot our wedding. They are absolutely a phenomenal team, as well as some of the nicest people you’ll ever meet—and you’re spending a lot of quality time with your photographers on your wedding day, so being with awesome people is a big deal! Mary is so organized and so on top of the pre-wedding communication, while also managing to be super calm and flexible; she calmed a lot of my stress about not wanting a first look, but also wanting to squeeze in every single photo that our families wanted. And then she and Seth made it all happen for us, like it was no big deal! We’ve seen a preview of our photos, and of course, they are absolutely stunning! It’s almost too good to be true that these two are amazing to work with AND take gorgeous photos. We also worked with them on our engagement shoot, which turned out absolutely beautiful, and we have no doubt our completed wedding photos will be too. So glad we got to work with Seth & Mary on this most important day—they are the best! Just hire them!

Seth and Mary were great! They make the process super fun for you and your wedding party. It was our first time ever taking professional pictures at our engagement shoot and they made us feel really comfortable. Their turn-around is great (although they said we got lucky...our wedding photos were back within 2 weeks! Holy moly!!) Their quality of photo is wonderful, not overly Photoshope'd or retouched. Their style is super natural. I never heard them say, "okay, now give us a serious look". Very go with the flow but they're highly educated in what they're doing. I recommend!

Absolutely fantastic! We worked with Mary and her associate photographer Stephanie for our wedding in Sycamore. They were better than we could have ever hoped for. Both Mary and Stephanie were very fun and helped everyone feel so comfortable and natural in front of the camera. We LOVED working with them and absolutely recommend them!

Mary and Seth were incredible. My fiancé and I were very nervous about photos. We are not thin people, have been disappointed with photos in the past and we were hoping for one we'd be excited to hang on our wall. So far we've only seen a few of the photos but are blown away!! They were efficient, hilarious, kind, smart, and true artists. I let Mary know what we were looking for and when we went to take photos we put ourselves in their hands and they did everything we had requested and even added in some special moments. They were amazing! We just got married this weekend and they were so much fun to work with. They made the entire day happier and go smoother. I want to be best friends with them. I am so happy with my decision to choose Seth and Mary as my wedding photographers. I first found them on the preferred vendor list for Starved Rock which is where we got married. I checked out their website and immediately fell in love with their photos and from the moment I first called to book with them, I was extremely impressed. Mary was so friendly and accommodating. We took our engagement photos in October and WOW!! They were AMAZING!! I am the type of person who never likes pictures of myself and there were SO MANY that I loved! We also got so many compliments from our family and friends on how great the photos were! They have far exceeded my expectations! This fantastic duo is a husband and wife team, which means they fully understand the importance of a wedding day. It was also helpful that they are familiar with Starved Rock and were able to tell us exactly what pictures we would be able to get and where, within the timeframe of the wedding. On the wedding day, it was super hot. They were sweating, we all were, and they made the most of it. Even had water and a handkerchief to help me keep cool and make sure my makeup wasn't smearing. We had a big bridal party and Mary was very on top of it with telling everyone where to be and what to do. I loved that I didn't have to think about logistics on the day of the wedding because they had it all under control. I even noticed her tell one of my bridesmaids to take off the ponytail holder she still had on her arm before we went out for pictures. That's something I didn't even notice, but would have not wanted in the pictures. They thought of every little detail! Mary was very helpful all throughout our year-long engagement with answering my questions in a timely manner. Seth and Mary have a great sense of humor and had us laughing on our wedding day! We couldn't be happier to have them as our photographers! The best part is, you get copies of all of your photos for you to download and print wherever you want.

Seth and Mary were awesome and so down to earth. You can tell they definitely know what they are doing when it comes to getting groups together for pictures! Mary isn't afraid to tell people where to go and what to do which is necessary when dealing with a a lot of family and bridal party. The few pictures I have seen so far are beautiful and I can't wait to see the rest!

Seth and Mary were awesome to work with! We got engagement photos and wedding photos with them. They turned out amazing! Seth really has an eye for getting the perfect shot. Mary is great at getting people organized and finding poses that don't feel awkward. Together they make an excellent team! I feel that their editing is tasteful and not overdone. I appreciated that some of the best photos they edited two different ways (i.e. black/white and color) and sent us both so we had options. They were great to work with outside of the sessions also. Seth and Mary photographed our wedding last month, and we could not be happier! Throughout the entire process they were extremely professional and accommodating. Seth and Mary were absolutely wonderful to work with. They did our wedding and engagement photos and we couldn't be happier. They didn't consume our day with posing but still managed to pack so many angles/options in a short time. Since we got our photos back it has been so hard to decide which one(s) we want to put up in our house! Plus, they are super friendly. Although we weren't around them for long, you can definitely tell that they're really good people and that they care about providing high quality pictures. In our batch, there is a great blend of priceless candids and gorgeous posed shots with great lighting and coloring. They did a great job of capturing our personalities in our pictures and also the personalities within our families and friends. As we looked through photos and would see candids of friends, we would often stop and say "That is SO that person!" :) I also loved that they posted a few of the photos online the day after the wedding. The wedding day was kind of a blur and it was nice to have a few photos to relive the moment. Also, we planned our wedding from out-of-state. They responded to our emails/questions very promptly. Overall, you can definitely trust Seth and Mary with your big decision. The photography was one of the most important things to us because we knew it would really shape how we remembered the day. I wouldn't change a thing and highly recommend them to any Illinois bride!

We had a wonderful experience with Seth Morris Photography! The pictures that they took are gorgeous and we've gotten so many compliments on them. I was especially grateful that Mary made sure that we got all the pictures that we wanted as I was too distracted that day to remember to make sure that we got everything. They worked very quickly and managed to capture all of the special moments of our wedding day. Seth and Mary are laid-back and fun and really helped to make our day more enjoyable! We chose Seth & Mary to take our pictures for our wedding after falling in love with their pictures and they did not disappoint! They are so easy to work with and having them both shooting ensures that you capture all the little moments! They took our engagement photos as well and everything turned out beautifully! Mary is very organized and keeps all of the family pictures going quickly so people don't have to stand around forever! We can't wait to have more pictures taken by them with our growing family!
