One star for the great dinner, and the second one for the stunning location - neither of which were made easy with this venue. Leaving this review with the caveat that the business...
was in bankruptcy and sold during our planning process, so this more reflects the previous business practices, but move forward with caution.
We had little to no communication with their event manager from November - March after signing our contract with them, come to find out she left and did not inform us that the business was under bankruptcy OR that it was being sold. We found out about all of this at 5pm on a Friday evening when we received an email from Sonoma County Superior Court that we were being notified of the sale of a business that we had a contract with (so much fun 4 months before your wedding!!) The new event manager promised us that if the sale went through, everything would still go according to plan...
The weekend of our wedding, we arrived at the venue for our rehearsal and noticed that the grounds were not being taken care of as there were weeds everywhere and trees were untrimmed. The upstairs room we rented for the night before had an active ant problem, and it was clear that no one was actually running the "Inn" portion of the business.
During the wedding, everything we had planned ourselves went wonderful and smooth, after our coordinators and immediate family helped set up the event. Our appetizers looked nothing like they did during our tasting menu selections and were subpar. At cocktail hour, my husband asked for his favorite beer from our bar menu and was told there weren't any available (this was at 6:30pm, and the wedding was scheduled until 10pm... a little while later venue workers returned with 6 PACKS of that beer same beer).
Book this venue at your own risk, if they are even still doing weddings after the sale of the business.
Words cannot describe the gratitude I feel for Seven Branches! Booking them was the first and best decision my (now) husband and I made for our wedding, hands down. After doing our...
initial research, Seven Branches was the first venue we toured and it was even better in person than it was on paper. Felicia, Leah, and the entire staff made the planning process incredibly lovely and genuinely enjoyable, offering helpful guidance and connecting us with the best vendors in the area. Our catering tasting (Folktable catering is included with this venue) was one of our favorite days of wedding planning - and we got a *ton* of compliments on the food at the wedding. The ceremony and reception spaces are stunning (obviously), but the rest of the inn played a huge role in our day as well. Our families booked all six onsite rooms (thank you to Marcy for helping coordinate this) and I got ready with my bridesmaids in the gorgeous bridal suite. It was very important to me to find a venue where we could stay on site all day, and it ended up being a huge stress reliever on the day. Even with a little rain keeping us on our toes, I didn't worry for a second that our day wouldn't be perfect. We were so well taken care of, and I enjoyed every single second we spent at Seven Branches.
