Our Venue, a Love Letter
Severance Hall is a gorgeous wedding venue in Cleveland, OH. Considered one of Cleveland’s most beautiful places, Severance Music Center has been home to the Cleveland Orchestra since 1931. The elegant structure reflects the finest craftsmanship and harmonizes Neo-classical, French Nouveau, Art Deco, and Egyptian Revival styles.
John Severance contributed much of the funding for this venue as a loving tribute to his wife, Elisabeth Prentiss Severance. Her favorite flower, the Lotus, is enshrined in prominent locations throughout, and even the ceiling design in the Mandel Concert Hall is based on the lace pattern of Elisabeth’s wedding gown.

Megan Gryder, the events coordinator, was absolutely fantastic! She worked with my family and I to to bring our vision to light. Over the months, Megan was very attentative and grew to know exactly what I'd like, including pitching ideas that i didn't know were options. The entire experience was beautiful. My guest left feeling honored that they had the opportunity to experience such an event. I couldn't have asked for anything more . Megan and the entire staff definitely delivered!!!!

We had our reception in the grand foyer of severance hall. It is an absolutely beautiful space, and the event staff is wonderful to work with. Extremely helpful and coordinated with our other vendors, we didn't worry about a thing the day of the wedding. Highly recommended.
I felt like a princess. I did literally nothing on the day of the wedding and everything turned out perfectly. I had people tell me that our was the best wedding they had ever been to, and I think this is due to the excellent work of Merigold and the Glidden House. Merigold's staff is outstanding. Their food is the best. I am very happy with our choice to have our wedding here and was proud to show off the University Circle neighborhood to out of towners. I had people comment on how easy everything was to get to and appreciate the accessibility of the area.

Glidden House was EVERYTHING that we expected and more. Our wedding has been described as "magical" by a few of our guests. Glidden house offers luxury and comfort while maintaining the intimacy of a small wedding. Louise, the wedding coordinator handled everything with grace and a smile on her face. She was engaging, personable, friendly and made our friends and family feel comfortable while attending to our needs as well. She is simply wonderful!
Marigold Catering and Katie Korte were phenomenal as well. A number of the guest have commented on the "amazing" food from the appetizers to the late night snack. Glidden House is worth every penny!

The Glidden House is the perfect location for an intimate wedding with your closest friends and family. The hotel itself is so beautiful and has a real vintage feel to it. Since it is smaller you really get to know the staff and it feels like you are in a big house. The location is also ideal for pictures, there are so many options. Carrie our wedding coordinator at the Glidden House was so kind and professional. She went the extra mile to make sure everything was perfect and both my mom and mother in law were so appreciative of all of her help! It also rained all morning on the day of my wedding but the staff quickly adjusted the ceremony to be under the tent and it was still beautiful! I would definitely recommend this venue to anyone looking for an intimate, vintage wedding.
I loved The Gliddem House and both out ceremony and reception were perfect. We had such a good experience with the wedding coordinator who was both attentive and provided such great ideas for the rehearsal. I would recommend using The Glidden House and hope to be able to host another party there is the future.
We had a wonderful wedding and reception Glidden House, catered by the team at Marigold. The venue is tasteful and elegant. Marigold's food left everyone satisfied and provided wonderful memories. A team of professionals which meant that wedding planning was stress-free. Thank you!
My wedding at the Glidden House was perfect. Carrie was the ultimate professional and problem-solver in the months of planning as well as the big day. The venue is exquisitely appointed and impressed our guests. The outside seating tent complete with chandeliers made it feel like a Hollywood wedding! The pricing was exactly as laid out in the contract, and helped us come under budget without sacrificing service or quality. Marigold Catering created the perfect 3-course plated dinner for our guests that they are still raving about months later. I would recommend The Glidden House and Marigold Catering to any brides without hesitation!
We had our wedding reception in the Grand Foyer of Severance Hall, and it was absolutely beautiful! The room has the feel of a ballroom, with the incredibly tall ceilings and ornate decor. The staircases on either side of the room made for a dramatic entrance, as well as a perfect location for group photos. We planned our wedding long distance and Jennifer was very easy to work with. After we found all of our vendors, we provided her with their information and she coordinated from there with each one. Also, she was there the day of the wedding keeping everything on track. The only negatives were 1) that the facility doesn't have chairs available, so we had to rent them separately ourselves, and 2) there was not an option to extend the event (on the night of the event) if the party wasn't quite over yet at the pre-determined end time.
