year before my wedding to guarantee my gown would be done in ample time since weddings were ramping back up. Beth is so warm and welcoming, listened to every concern I had about my all lace dress and walked me through what adding straps to my strapless dress would look like (I opted not to bc the neckline was just too gorgeous to alter). At my final fitting, she pinned me up perfectly (so I could dance!) before re-adding in my back zipper and showing me my to die for bustle. Day of, my dress fit like a glove - I felt amazing in it and received so many compliments on my dress and how well it fit my curvy/athletic frame. Wonderful experience with Sew Beautiful!

e Sew Beautiful Bridal after a recommendation from the dress seller who said that it was a good alterations place with fair prices. The owner, Beth, met with us for the first fitting (about 10 weeks prior to my wedding) and seemed competent. We thought the price was quite high considering the amount of work that needed to be done and compared to other wedding gown alterations that friends or family have had done but felt like we needed to continue with her after the prolonged time she spent on the fitting. We came back for our second fitting  a couple weeks later and the dress was so tight it couldn't even be zipped  up,  the straps were several inches too short, were uneven and crooked.  The owner told me later that, "Due to the drastic changes in [my] original measurements", I needed to come back for another fitting, which she scheduled NINE DAYS before my wedding.  When we  came in that day,  she calmly warned us that my dress had been completely let out so we could start the measurements from scratch.  It was literally in pieces. She then told us to come back the following Monday and to not bother making an appointment because they don't usually see clients on Mondays but that they would see me to make this right.  We showed up Monday (keep in mind this is now 5 days prior to my wedding) only to catch her associates, Delaney and Patti, completely off guard.  Beth was out of town and had completely neglected to tell them we were coming in that day. They said  that my dress was not even remotely ready for me and Beth is the only one who knows how to sew the zippers back in, but because she was out of town,  there wasn't much they could do.  She apologized profusely (which was the first time anyone had owned up to the mistakes made) and was very kind.  She offered to fix the straps right then and there and then re-measure the hem after fixing the straps and asked us to come back 2 days later for, hopefully, the final fitting.  We came back two days later, only for Beth to not even face us (literally -- at one point she stuck her head out of the workroom and asked Patti for something but didn't even acknowledge us).  The dress finally fit but the hem still wasn't quite right and the bustle and belt hadn’t been touched. Multiple more fittings were needed that week until finally, 2 days prior to the wedding, we were able to take my dress. This was an extremely stressful experience, which is not something a bride should have to experience the week before her wedding.  Because of all the stress and frustration, Delaney kindly made me a beautiful bracelet out of the excess material from my belt.  However, not only did they NOT offer a reduction in price, they charged me for the additional work they had to do in order to make it right.  This was an absolutely terrible experience and added way more stress than we needed. Therefore I cannot, in good conscience, recommend  this alterations shop.   I do want to thank Delaney and Patti for all of the extra hoops they jumped through to make this right for us.  Beth should be glad to have associates so dedicated to this job.

gain in the time between purchasing my dress and my first fitting, but Beth did an amazing job adding some concealed fabric at the back of my dress to give me a few extra inches. She sewed cups from my bra and added some boning to give me some extra support, and it truly did make a world of difference! Beth is so knowledgable and detail-oriented when it comes to making sure each bride is happy with the fit of her dress. If you're looking for someone to trust with your alterations, Beth is amazing!

the dress was overall too big for me in its proportions. I then lost a decent amount of weight prior to my wedding which resulted in even more alterations. However, Beth never made me feel stressed or like the work couldn’t be done and she made my dress perfect! It looked like it had been made for me! I also had a fairly long train on a ball gown dress and my bustle was done so nicely where you could hardly tell it was there. I would definitely trust Beth with anything I need altered and am so glad I trusted her with my wedding dress! She is also very nice and so pleasant to work with. I could not have been happier.

ress was a good 2 sizes larger than my normal size. Beth worked in a timely manner, but I could tell she was very meticulous with my dress to ensure it came out perfect. I met with her a month before my wedding to do the final dress fitting, and we found I had lost some weight that made the dress still too big. Beth was able to take in my dress even more and get it back to me 2 weeks before my wedding, so I never had to worry about not having my dress in time. She even added bra cups to my dress so that I wouldn't have to worry about finding something to accommodate my strapless, corset dress. I had no issues with the dress for the entire wedding and Beth even provided instructions on how to tie up the bustle for the reception. Despite my dress having very intricate beading details, Beth's alterations were so flawless that you couldn't even tell she had altered it in any way. I'm only sad because now I have a beautiful, comfortable, form-fitting dress that I can no longer wear. I highly recommend Beth for your alterations, she makes sure your dress fits you in the perfect way before you wear it for your wedding!

go ,so it was not feasible for me to do my fitting through the designer. I was nervous about taking my dream dress in for alterations but Beth transformed it to fit like a glove. The dress required significant alterations, a complex bustle and a lot of work in the bodice but it came together beautifully. I'd definitely say that all brides can feel good working with Beth even if your dress requires significant alterations! You never would've known my dress had to be taken in two sizes :)
