If you’re wondering where to go for the most important outfit of your life, here’s your sign - Sew Generously is it!
As a first-time custom suit buyer, and they made the process seamless. The team educated me on styles, empowered my choices, and worked closely with my partner and me to create a suit that truly felt like my own. I learned SO much about the process that it went from overwhelming to fun quick.
Their staff is professional, kind, and incredibly knowledgeable. While the pricing reflects the custom quality, they’re transparent and flexible if needed. I even threw in a curveball of randomly losing 20 pounds and they were able to make quick work to make sure the suit (which was already in process) was still perfect.
Highly recommend Sew Generously to anyone. I’ve never looked or felt better... I immediately went back to purchase a tuxedo!
I had a great experience here. The designer and tailor Aiden made me feel very welcome, included, and safe as a Lesbian woman of color. I custom-designed my suit and found this was one of the few places in Seattle where I was able to do that. They let me pick everything I wanted on my suit including fabric, lining, cut, buttons. They never once judged, criticized, or body-shamed me. The timeline was perfect, and they worked with me on my budget. Highly recommend!
We had the pleasure of working with Sew Generously for our bespoke wedding suits this June, and we couldn't be happier with our experience! From the very beginning, the team made us feel special.
The consultation experience was fantastic. Working with a skilled tailor was both enjoyable and insightful, and they guided us through the process with expertise and care. We were impressed with the extensive range of suiting options available, which allowed us to find the perfect styles that suited our vision.
The quality and fit of the suits were exceptional. We felt confident and looked fantastic on our wedding day. The attention to detail was evident in every stitch, and the suits looked incredible both in person and in photos.
We also deeply appreciated Sew Generously's embrace of LGBTQ+ couples. Their inclusivity and support made us feel celebrated.
Overall, Sew Generously exceeded our expectations in every way. We highly recommend them to any couple looking for bespoke suits that are both stylish and personalized. Thank you, Sew Generously, for helping us look our best on our special day!

My husband spent countless hours researching where he wanted to go for his wedding tux and we could not have made a better choice! Levi helped make what we thought would be a complicated design process simple -- helping us select the perfect fabric and design. Working with David and the rest of the team during the alteration process was easy and helped him feel and look his best! Could not recommend Sew Generously Bespoke more!

Collaborated on a very specific made to measure suit to the exact details of the one that Sean Connery wore in James Bond: Goldfinger. An ambitious endeavor for my first tailored suit but I felt that I was in great hands after meeting Eli and David, seeing their atelier and looking at their fabric selection.
The salesman Eli is always dressed immaculately, super professional and knowledgeable of all the fabrics and styles of suits. It’s a great environment in this atelier with several seamstresses sewing away and making bespoke suits/altering/finishing made to measure suits, including the owner/founder David. He seems to have been doing this all of his life and lives and breaths suit making. He is usually always there and will offer his expert opinion and advice which was handy for a newb like myself.
I searched 6 other tailors in Seattle and met with them to see which one was right for me. Sew Generously is on a whole other level - The quality materials with a passion for the art of suit making and an attention to every little detail…I couldn’t find anywhere else. It was great to actually have guidance on the suit design decisions and ask questions to the people who make suits for a living…not just a salesman in a showroom like most other tailors in Seattle.
They have an extensive selection of premium fabrics including some of the most beautiful fabrics I have ever seen. They also have a greater selection of lining that I found anywhere else.
The suit was ready in about 2 months and was worth the wait. It was clear that I made the right decision to choose them because the suit is amazing. It achieves the Bond look I was going for to perfection. It fits excellently and looks great - Well worth the money in my opinion because you can really tell that this suit is well made…it’s actually better than the one that the British tailor made for Sean Connery. Mine actually fits me better. That’s impressive!
I’m hooked and now working on some other suit ideas such as a Hannibal (tv series) inspired suit as well as ones inspired by the suits in Mad Men, Boardwalk Empire and The Knick. Needless to say, they have the talent to make what you want tailored perfectly to your body and crafted with the highest quality materials.
I had a tuxedo made for our wedding. So many good things to say about it. David was great to work with. I contacted him about 6 months before the wedding and we established a timeline that was easy. Had a meeting to discuss style and fabric, and from there had a few meetings in the middle to try things on and make adjustments. Going to meet with him along the way was always really enjoyable. He is fun and easy to be around and I just really enjoyed seeing behind the scenes and having a vote in each step. The end product was amazing as well. I've never had a single piece of clothing feel so natural and fit so perfectly as my shirt, jacket and trousers all did. It looked great and was exactly what I imagined at the beginning. I couldn't have a stronger recommendation. The experience was flawless. I wish I knew how to post photos in this review for everyone to see. So great.
I had my wedding dress alterations done at Sew Generously Bespoke (owner David P., and apprentice David C.) downtown in Pioneer Square. My first impression of the storefront left me impressed - this is a classy place; with exposed brick, seasonal art in the hallways, warm lighting and tasteful accents. David P. met with me to talk through my hopes for the dress - I had bought it off the shop floor at 2 sizes too big, but loved the shape and cut. I know alterations can be a minefield depending on the dress, so I instantly felt reassured when David P. was undaunted by the task. He explained to me the construction of the dress (interesting!), and how he was going to go about taking it in. Their storefront contains a dressing room, so I tried it on and we made a plan based on how it fit. The turnaround time was brilliant, he always kept me informed of time frames and was flexible throughout according to what I needed time-wise. I was most impressed by his suggestions for the dress - I hadn't even thought of adding a bustle, but David P. suggested it and it made so much sense. Looking back, I definitely needed it on the day! Sew Generously is a serious gem, and I would wholeheartedly recommend getting wedding dress alterations done there. My husband also had this suit made bespoke there, and my brother's suit for his groomsman outfit was altered by David P. - even at really short notice! The staff at Sew Generously have a positive, can-do approach to alterations, and the final products were masterfully done. I couldn't believe my dress fit as well as it did from being 2 sizes too big initially! Also, their approach to customer service is thoughtful, friendly, and next-level professional. Bonus: If you need men's clothing, H. Bailey is right next door and we bought my brother's suit, groom's shoes and tie, and several accessories there at a fraction of the retail price. 10/10 would do it all again, and will definitely go back for future alterations.
