time finding a wedding dress that made me happy. After realizing the traditional white dress was not for me, I began explore some options for a dress that has color. Fortunately for me, this is where Jeanette came into the picture as finding a wedding dress in my favorite color (dark red) was proving to be next to impossible. She was excited to help me create a dress that was uniquely me and was undeterred by my choice of color for the dress. She has a lot of experience creating traditional white wedding dresses as well as colorful wedding dresses. Honestly, she can make an amazing wedding dress in just about any color you could imagine. Jeanette and I first discussed the style of the dress that I was looking for and then we traveled to Los Angeles to look for a fabric that I liked. She then scheduled regular fittings so there would be no surprises when the dress was finished. She continuously checked in with me to make sure that I liked the direction in which we were going as the dress took shape. Needless to say, the dress was stunning, and seeing the look on my husband’s face as I walked down the aisle confirmed to me that choosing Jeanette for this important part of my day the best choice I could have made. ted budget. The assumed alterations to any dress added to the expense of the dress, but also made it very difficult for me to imagine what the dress would look like after alterations. The option to get my dress made seemed overwhelming, but I had ideas in my head that I was not really finding in the wedding gown stores. Jeanette was AMAZING working with me, delicately and at my own pace, as we designed the dress together using the different ideas I had, depending on her expertise in what cut would work best for my body type, and other options for the dress. It was like working with my aunt. She is so comfortable, honest and friendly. I never felt frustrated or uncertain about what I was getting with Jeanette. The dress came out exactly as I imagined, and it was so comfortable! Thank you, Jeanette! You are an amazing seamstress, natural perfectionist, and so creative! I would recommend you to any one of my closest friends!

wedding dress... how was I going to find a dress to fit my 4 foot 11 and a half inch body..not to mention my curves ...how was I going to find as my mother called it " the most important dress of my life" Jeanette...that's how...as soon as I spoke with Jeanette all my anxiety and worries quickly disappeared. I explained to her what I wanted to look like and how I wanted to feel on that magical day and pretty much put all the rest in her hands. No pressure right. I also added the extra challenge of not getting to see my gown until several days prior to my wedding which is when my first actual dress fitting took place. Jeanette has made several dresses for me in the past including prom dresses and my debutant ball gown so I completely trust her. She knows what works best for my body and was very patient with me as I kept confusing myself with all the different gowns on pinterest. Finally the day I had been waiting for arrived...it was the day Jeanette revealed my wedding gown... our dear friend Judy was also in the room at the time and as Jeanette began to pull my veil and then my gown out of the garment bag I was overwhelmed with tears. I was speechless .... it was the most beautiful gown I had ever seen... it was Perfect ...the gorgeous beaded lace she picked out was stunning. My veil had stitched lace on the trim As she and Judy helped me into my beautiful Jeanette creation I walked out into my mother's living room where my mom, best friend Shannon and Pam were waiting there was not a dry eye in the room. She knew me so well and it fit perfectly. I felt exactly how I wanted to ...it was truly Magical ... I highly recommend Jeanette her gowns are truly one of a kind and are made with love. I will cherish my gown always.

t thing I wanted was to not be in love w/ my wedding dress. So I went on a mission and yelped every wedding dress designer I could find in close proximity! I didn't get a good feeling from a lot of them and felt I was going to get taken advantage of and ripped off. Then I found Jeanette. I emailed her and told her my situation and sent her pictures of inspiration for the wedding dress I wanted made. I was a little nervous for her reaction since it was a new trend and most of the places I called didn't know what I was talking about. I sent her pictures of crop top (2 piece) wedding gowns. Her reaction was awesome and she absolutely loved my ideas!! She just loved the look and the new trend! It felt so good that she was on the same page as me and she was so excited! Jeanette had never made a crop top wedding dress before but it was so sweet and cute how thrilled she was to have the chance! I made an appointment w/ her and we discussed design ideas, budget, timeline, her process w/ making the dress and her impressive background. Jeanette was so sweet and personable, she made me feel so comfortable and I instantly trusted her. I hired her on the spot to design my dream wedding gown!! Throughout the process Jeanette was very easy to get in touch w/. She returned emails, texts, calls in a timely manner and was always there to give me advice or suggestions when I needed them :) She is super professional, knowledgeable and oh so patient! When we went to the garment district to look for my lace fabrics she never gave up in finding what I was looking for. Once we found the lace, Jeanette had all these ideas and suggestions! I took all her suggestions and you should, too! Trust me, she has done this her whole life and she knows what she is doing :) She even hand cut every single piece of lightly sequined lace and hand appliqued over the mesh of my crop top so she could create a unique style of her own!! This woman is seriously amazing and so talented! The amount of time she put into this dress just melts my heart. She truly loves what she does and is so happy to see her brides so happy! I would recommend her to anyone!! The end result of my wedding dress was amazing and everything I had imagined!! My fiancé was floored when he saw it at our First Look!! He kept saying "it's so beautiful and so you!!" My guests were stunned when they saw me walk out and they couldn't stop asking about my dress!! I haven't received the professional pictures yet (except one, in which I will post) but I will post more of those when I get those in. ned. After trying the dress on, it fit perfectly. It was a gorgeous dress and a little ahead of its time, however, it had long sleeves, a net back, a lace collar, and a long train. All this was too overwhelming for me when looking in the mirror and I felt it was a lost cause. I almost began to cry because I could't visulaize how this could possibly work. A few weeks later, my mom and I took it to Jeanette and she had me try it on. Immediately, Jeanette was ecstatic and excited to which I couldn't understand why! But she said it was so beautiful and the dress was going to be incredible when she was done altering it. Jeanette was always reassuring, open-minded, easy to work with, and has an extremely sophisticated eye for design -- the one I needed to reassure me. When I tried on my dress at my last fitting, I almost began to cry again, but this time for different reasons. She had completely transformed it to the image in my mind. It became the gown I had been dreaming about. It was classy, timeless and elegant with a modern touch. With lack of a better way to describe it: it was perfect. Not only was my dress exactly as I had hoped it would be, but Jeanette is as incredible as they come and she is everything you want your designer to be when preparing for one of the biggest days of your life. Also, you want someone you can trust; not only someone to handle and care for your dress as you would care for it, but you also want someone you can trust who will guide you and tell you what works well and what doesn't. Jeanette took such amazing care of me and my mom, who also had her dress altered by Jeanette. She is an amazing woman with an amazing story. I would recommend Jeanette at Sew in Love Couture to anyone and already have! Custom dresses are definitely the way to go...refer her because she will not disappoint -- she will give you the dress you've always wanted and even more. Thank you for everything, Jeanette!!!

was so much fun seeing my dress come alive. I loved wearing it, the fit was perfect and it was gorgeous!

as expected, it just didn't fit right. I decided to look for another seamstress that could help fix my dress and thats when I found Jeanette on Yelp. Jeanette is a seasoned seamstress when it comes to bridal gowns so from the first look at my original dress, she was able to see what had gone wrong. Basically, my original dress wasn't salvageable, the cut and type of fabric used wasn't right for a bridal gown. Rather than starting from scratch (I was a month away from getting married), she offered one of her original designs for me to wear! It was pretty much meant for me. The cut, fit, and design was gorgeous. It was an elegant dress with an intricate lace detail and it had a matching veil! I was very grateful that she had given me her dress to wear, I got so many compliments for the dress. The words used to compliment my dress were: Classy, elegant, beautiful, timeless, and intricate. Jeanette knows her stuff, she's up to date with the trends and a lot of her designs are very classy and timeless so you won't have to worry about looking back at your pictures 10 years from now and wondering, "what was I thinking!". She'll work with you, so if you have a design in mind, she can help create a one of a kind dress that flatters you. I highly suggest contacting Jeanette and considering using her services to create a bridal gown that was meant for you. t what I actually wanted - but I KNEW it had to be unique! So, she worked hard for me on colors, lace choices, and design. The final product - STILL my favorite piece of clothing! She is one of the MOST AMAZING dress designers I've come across, has the highest quality of service, and made my day super special! I ALWAYS recommend her!

Not only that, she was so well connected with the store owners she helped me stay on budget without giving up my vision. Her feedback and intuitive knowledge based on your body type and every form of dress is impeccable. I'm a picky person and she never complained about having to fix the front of my dress multiple times. The amount of work and artistry that went into my dress (including hours of hand beading and hand sewn train trim) was unreal. I couldn't have even dreamed up the result. She even made my fiancé's vest AND my rehearsal dress (which she recreated from a Pinterest photo I gave her into a way better dress). My advice: listen to her suggestions- she knows what she is talking about. Don't take her for granted by having her alter someone else's creation (although her alteration work is perfect as well). Put the time and dress portion of your budget into Jeanette's hands and you won't regret it.

who it seemed I could trust, and Sew in Love fit the bill! Jeanette has been in this business for many many years, and is a total expert. She's also very personable, fun to work with, and seemed to truly care about my big day! I had a dress with lots of complicated detailing and lace, that needed to be taken up & in quite a bit. She had to get very creative in finding a way to do this with all the detailing, and I was absolutely amazed with the results. Despite much cutting & resewing that had to be done, the altered dress "looked like it was born that way", as she put it. She was also very reasonable with pricing.
