Expert Alterations and Bespoke Gown Design
I worked with Laura on both alterations for a bridesmaid dress and the custom creation of my wedding dress, and she was amazing every step of the way.
For the bridesmaid dress from David's Bridal, the lining didn't fit correctly even though it was a plus-size dress. Laura immediately identified the issue, fixed it, and even reinforced the zipper for extra peace of mind.
Years later, I returned to her to create my wedding dress, and I couldn't have made a better choice. She helped me select fabrics, offered thoughtful suggestions for the design and silhouette, and made sure I felt absolutely beautiful. She also guided me on what I would need to wear underneath the dress to achieve the fit and shape I wanted.
She hand-applied the lace so it lay perfectly smooth and looked like one continuous piece. She also included the button detail I wanted while cleverly hiding a zipper underneath for practicality.
I truly couldn't have had a better experience. Laura's craftsmanship, attention to detail, and dedication made both dresses perfect, and I would recommend her without hesitation.

I had no idea what I wanted going into this process but she made it so easy. She was responsive to questions and feedback, brought ideas to the table and understood the vision of the day. She knew about all the current wedding trends but also got to know me as a person to understand what worked best for me. She also has an amazing attention to detail. I loved the bow tie that she made my husband using scraps from the floral lace on the dress. It really pulled the whole look together. I don't just have a quality dress (it survived the whole night of dancing) I have a family heirloom that I can't wait to pass down to my daughter someday.

Sewing has been part of my life for as long as I can remember. I grew up learning the craft beside my father, who was a skilled tailor, and that early foundation shaped everything I do today. Over the years, my love for fabric, design, and creative problem solving has only grown. I worked in theatre as a costume designer while offering custom sewing and alterations, and I always found myself drawn to bridal wear and formal gowns.
My passion truly ignited when I designed my own wedding dress. I knew I wanted to honor my mother by using parts of her gown while creating something that reflected my personality. I spent hours swatching fabrics to find the perfect laces to pair with her vintage lace and my great grandmother's pearl beaded trim. Then I spent more than 100 hours hand beading the entire gown. I loved every minute of it, and it confirmed that bridal design was where I belonged.
Creativity is at the heart of my work. I love transforming ideas into something meaningful and beautiful, whether it is a simple alteration or a complex redesign.
