Theresa did an exceptional job on the alterations needed for my wedding dress! I had quite a complicated design that needed attention and she handled it with the upmost caution and precision. She took the time to listen to my requests & offered reassurances how she would get to the desired outcome. My dress fit perfectly & looked absolutely stunning on my special day!! I couldn’t recommend Theresa highly enough for anyone needing top notch alterations!!

Theresa was incredible! I have recommended her to friends who have since used her services and loved her too! I really wanted the back of dress redone from an V-back to a low scoop back, which I wasn’t sure was possible. Theresa did it no problem, and it looked stunning! She also painstakingly pressed my veil which has hundreds of little pearls all over it. Cannot recommend her enough.

Theresa came to me recommended by a friend who had recently gotten married and I made an appointment to see what she could do with my dress. I was on a tighter time frame than I would have preferred due to my own decisions but Theresa made me feel very comfortable that we had plenty of time and she could do what was necessary to get my dress right. She did incredible work on my wedding dress and I could not have imagined a better experience! She was able to make multiple corrections to my dress and you couldn't even tell it had been changed. She did an incredible job with the intricate designs and used her experience to make it look absolutely perfect for our special day. She also used her expertise in the industry to give me the best advice throughout the whole process, from what sort of undergarments would be best with the design of my dress, how to transport the dress, and what to do with it after the wedding. I cannot say enough good things and will absolutely be recommending her to anyone I know who needs alterations!

Theresa and the work she does are both amazing!! Very nice, professional, and easy to communicate with. I had a short turnaround time from when my dress finally came in and the wedding date, but Theresa was able to work with the timeline and made my dress fit like a glove. I had a long train, so I was worried about how the bustle would look and last throughout the night. She made the most beautiful bustle that didn’t budge even from all the dancing! I will definitely recommend Theresa to any family or friend in the future.

Theresa is wonderful. She knew exactly what she was doing and had great expertise. I am small chested so she helped me get the right cups and explained my silicone inserts were not going to provide the lift I wanted. She offered a much better alternative at a good price. I felt like I was at my grandma's house the whole time. She sewed as well and Theresa treated me with the same amount of care. She pressed and steamed my dress and she keeps the dress there until a couple days before the wedding. It was so helpful. She even offered great tips on how to keep my dress nice during pictures by using a shower curtain. She has YEARS of experience and I would highly recommend using Theresa!!

Theresa did a fabulous job altering my wedding dress for my wedding day. She hemmed the complex pattern of my lace, shortened multiple layers, added cups, took in the hips, added a 7 point bustle, and totally customized the back. Theresa went above and beyond! This seamstress worked with me and the wedding dress boutique under unusual circumstances. The boutique had measured me incorrectly, resulting in a significantly short ballgown! Theresa was able to walk me through how to handle this extreme error. When I began having problems with the boutique, she was willing to speak with them. When it was discovered that the new dress did not have the panels I paid for, leaving my dress partially nude, Theresa worked a miracle. She spoke with the boutique, got the new dress and managed to fix this additional mistake, one week before my wedding! If you want a person who will go the extra mile and ensure you walk down that aisle in your dream wedding dress, I highly recommend Sew Ridiculous!

I can not thank Theresa enough. When I walked into Sew Ridiculous my dress was a few sizes to small. The place I got it from did not help me at all with trying to exchange it for my true size. Once Theresa seen it she gave me a couple options and I trusted her with my dress. She ended up putting a corset back instead of having the zipper. It made the dress fit tremendously more comfortable and I felt secure with my back. I was not nervous what so ever with my dress being in her hands. Theresa is so humble and kind and truly cares about her customers. I can not wait to use her again for more alterations. My sister now goes to her too and loves her as well! I had a horrible wedding dress purchasing experience at Maiden Voyage in St. Louis in which they ordered by dress 4-6 sizes too big initially and then proceeded to order it one size too big again. Theresa assured me it would be ok and she made my dress fit flawlessly and the rest of my wedding dress experience go perfectly. She is absolutely wonderful, talented, easy to communicate with, and I will be back for any other wedding related alterations I may need in the future like bridesmaid dresses!

Theresa is amazing! She did my wedding gown, as well as dresses for my sister, my mom, and the mother and sister of the groom, plus my sister's wedding gown and dresses for my mom and me for my sister's wedding. I was so nervous about alterations because I had a lot of delicate lace and an illusion neckline. I took my dress to Theresa and she did an AMAZING job on it! So wonderful! Not only did Theresa work wonders on my wedding dress, but she also made time for my mom’s and grandma’s dresses! I wanted to add some extra fabric at the top of my dress to close it up some and couldn’t picture how it’d look like. Theresa is incredibly talented. My dress fit well enough when I got it, but she transformed it into a glove-like fit. I could not be happier with her alterations and suggestions for adjusting the dress. Theresa also helped me choose an unique bustle that truly makes the dress look hemmed and not just tucked up. I was not in a rush to have my dress done, but she finished the work in a timely manner. My family and bridesmaids live in California, so I all of my visits with Theresa were solo. Fittings take awhile and quickly Theresa felt more like an aunt and friend. She's given me advice not only on the dress and wedding, but life. I value her opinion and enjoy my visits with her. Her sewing studio is located in her home. It is spotless and tastefully decorated. She has a nice private changing room too.
