Ladies Bridal & Formal Dress Alterations are my specialty and I focus exclusively on these. There is no charge for a 1st fitting/consultation appointment. At your 1st fitting, I listen to your dreams and desires for your dress and then I make recommendations based on my 25 years of professional experience. Price quotes are given at your 1st fitting appointment. No payment is due until you pickup your dress. I give my clients my honest view of what looks best for each of them and I work with the goal of making your dress fit like a glove. Clients say that I am a perfectionist and that my prices are very reasonable. Sewing Cinderella was named to The Knot best of weddings Hall of Fame in 2024. I work from my home studio. I do all the alterations work myself. This gives me complete control over the quality of the alterations (I do not employ or contract with any other seamstresses). I work by appointment only. reviews are but She offers discounts for reviews, yet I was not offered this discount because I believe she knew I would be unhappy with her work. After already having dropped my dress off with her her, I expressed frustration to multiple people and they told me they also do not recommend her (one of them was my wedding coordinator who said "never book her").
My issues were that she claims to be a perfectionist but put simply, gave me an unfinished dress. My dress had a sweeping train and she offered me the option of 3 or 5 point bustle and that I could use some safety pins to make up the difference. I went with the 3 point option based off her recommendation. When I returned she told me I needed a 4 point bustle and that I would need over 25 safety pins to successfully bustle the gown. She offered to add 2 more points right then but said I would still need safety pins to make it work. I declined as I was frustrated with my experience and that I would need to pay more and STILL have to safety pin my wedding dress the Day of. One of the bustle strings broke before I even got to the reception. We did not end up safety pinning the dress simply because we didn't have time and I felt it would look cheap (the dress and the alterations were not cheap. I paid 550 for a 3 point bustle, hem, and elastic added to my detached sleeves). I had bought a knee length reception dress as a backup that I wore instead. I am devasted I did not get to wear my dream dress all night.
When I left a negative review stating only facts, sewing Cinderella responded to it saying that I needed a 7 point bustle and that I chose the cheapest option despite her recommendations. I was never offered a 7 point bustle and only did the 3 point because she made me feel that it was an acceptable option.
There were additional issues but her lying online to save face is my biggest problem. She is trying to make me sound cheap when she never gave me options that would have made my dress wearable the whole night.

e, shimmery, long gown (for my niece’s wedding reception) that was even longer in the back….with a modified train. I wanted the dress to be hemmed, so that I could walk in it without tripping… but I wanted to keep the same dimensions/ratio of front to back length. This was very important to retain the style of the dress. Olena not only understood, but she gave me her input as to how the sheer layer should be just a bit longer than the under layer, and she agreed that she would also allow for my request that my sparkly sandals would show just a bit. The result? She nailed it!!! The result was just PERFECT!!!

My dress had a lace hem on the bottom. Olena was able to detach and reattach part of it in order to hem the dress appropriately and you couldn't tell that lace was moved (even looking at it up close!). She also created the most beautiful 8-point bustle (I had a long train) so we could still see all the beautiful lace while I danced all night long. At my final fitting, Olena left safety pins where each of the hooks were placed so she could teach my Mom how to help bustle my dress. She ran through the steps multiple times so there were no questions on the big day and it was simple to do!

After the wedding, I asked her to shorten the wedding dress to knee length so that I would be able to wear it again and it turned out so beautifully. Again no issues whatsoever and all of the details were perfect.

requests, and in the end rushed me out of her place unsatisfied and confused. To get to the alterations portion of her home, it is un-pleasant and cluttered from entry to/including the room where she measures you for alterations. At my last alterations appt, When I asked her if she was finished with my dress because I had seen the rough hem when I tried it on, she looked at me like I had severely offended her and told me "of course it is". She is intimidating and therefore not someone that is easy to stand up to in the moment, especially when it involves your precious wedding dress, so I left with it. She did do some good work on the upper portion of my dress and the bussel, but as you can see in the photo I have attached, the top photo is the hem of my dress when I went home with it. When I called her to ask her to re-hem it due to actually wanting it to be shorter, she told me to go to someone else, that she wouldn't make it shorter because it would look bad in her opinion. I went to someone else, who cleaned up the hem as shown in the bottom photo and shortened my dress as requested. My 2nd seamstress also noted this: "...the side seam(the seam that joins the front of the skirt to the back of the skirt) had a more than 4 inch discrepancy..."
With all of this being said, it should be a fun, magical, and lovely experience going to get your dress altered for your wedding, & the way that YOU want it to look, but instead it was anxiety filled each time. I do not recommend that you go here for dress alterations.

Beyond that, being a 2020 bride, she was so accommodating, even holding onto/storing my dress for over 6 months given the uncertainty COVID had caused and dealing with my 2 reschedules, my final wedding being in July 2022.
