And on the wedding day, he absolutely KILLED IT! He kept the energy and vibes going all night long. A DJ can truly make or break a wedding, and Linh is someone you can completely trust to read the room, keep people on the dance floor, and make sure everything flows smoothly.
One of our favorite things about working with him was how open, flexible, and willing he was to bring our ideas to life — even my crazy ones! For our grand entrance, I wanted to do a huge football-style introduction that involved a full script and announcing our wedding party like we were coming out onto the field. He completely embraced the idea and made it SO much fun.
I also brought him a new wedding trend that I had seen and really wanted to try. It was something he had never done before, but instead of hesitating, he was completely open to it, figured out exactly how to make it work, and absolutely nailed it!
Linh genuinely wants your wedding to feel like YOUR wedding. He listens to your music choices, works with your vision, offers guidance when you need it, and is incredibly easy to communicate with throughout the entire process.

ecommendation. My wife and I have a mixed race family with Mexican, Filipino, Portuguese and Hawaiian so we had a lot of different music to hit throughout the night. We prepared with Linh through a couple of meetings which were very flexible and easy to schedule. Throughout the process there were things we definitely wanted for music and others where we needed some guidance. Linh made this process seamless and you can tell he has a ton of experience and is just an overall great person to work with. We really wanted to focus on blending different music throughout the night and getting everyone on the dance floor. That goal was definitely achieved and so many people came up to me and my wife to say how good the dj was. I would highly recommend Linh if your event needs a good mc and music.

detailed like we were writing over 100 individual songs and DJ Linh followed it exactly as planned. We had 3 meetings before the wedding, that helped us get to know one another so we could better understand each other, plan out the details and come up with back up plans. As in most weddings our wedding party was delayed and our timeline was backed up a bit. Thanks to our meetings DJ Linh was able to perfectly adapt to the situations and keep our guests entertained while moving along with the changing timeline. The added options he has like smoke filled bubbles and up lighting created an amazing atmosphere that everyone enjoyed from the toddlers to the Grandmas. At our wedding he not only played great songs that helped us enjoy our day, but he created an environment I havent seen before at a wedding. At every other wedding my wife and I have been to, the dance floor was fairly limited to the couple and people our age (mid 20s). Our wedding is the only one where the older folks(parents friends, family friends etc) were on the dance floor as well.
I think the best review was when I was talking to my mom afterwards and she said "I don't think I have ever seen my dad dance until your wedding".

music types. This really allowed you to customize as much or as little as you wanted to. You could note a general vibe, suggest a few songs, or attach a playlist. Beyond this, Linh went above and beyond to make custom edits to our first dances. During our prep calls with him, I was impressed with the level of detail Linh asked about our guests. He worked to gauge the age breakdowns, preferred genres, and level of energy desired. He accomodated our guests perfectly and everyone had songs they were excited to hear on the dance floor. His perfectly executed set made it so I would run to get water or use the restroom so I wouldn't miss time on the dance floor. The music perfectly set the vibe for the evening. We had several people reach out tell us he was the best wedding DJ they've heard - and we agree :) I'd recommend him to anyone and everyone!

He beautifully combined our musical preferences with his expertise in what makes a good wedding to come up with different playlists for our guests arriving, cocktail hour, dinner, and dancing (we still love listening to these playlists after our wedding). In addition to making the playlists, he was an invaluable resource for planning numerous logistical items for the wedding, prompting us to consider things like what microphone we would use for our vows, etc. On the day of the event, he was the perfect emcee. He helped transition between different parts of the wedding while being completely unobtrusive otherwise. He also helped us navigate some day-of rain for our outdoor venue, ensuring there would be no audio issues despite the drizzle. Everything went so smoothly and the dance floor was active all night! When it came to the music, Linh was incredible at playing stuff from our playlists, while also mixing in some great songs that he knew we'd enjoy that we didn't even have to pick. for the big day. Music can have a huge impact on your wedding and it was such an experience having Linh walk us through everything! He took the time to understand us individually and as a couple to curate the perfect playlist for all our special moments. He helped us depict all the different moods and vibes we wanted throughout our day, from welcoming guests, the ceremony, cocktail hour, dinner, and dancing! He made each part of our day transition so smoothly through music and it really kept the vibes up the whole day. He even made the time beforehand to meet us since we were from out of state and tour the venue again with us! We wanted to give him an idea of how the layout of our venue was so he can plan out how he'd like to execute all the parts we wanted. Apart from DJ services, Linh also offers lighting and FX effects, which was super convenient for us! We knew nothing about lighting and didn't even think about it until Linh brought it up. We booked special effects and extra lighting with him for our venue and it really transformed the space! Especially during the dancing portion of the night. All the guest really seemed to enjoy it and we all had so much fun. Linh has been such a pleasure to work with and we are so happy to have had him on our team. He was also so thoughtful for adding in some classic Filipino/Vietnamese music to cater to both sides of our families! First, let me say this: if you've never hired a DJ in your life, it's unreasonable to ask your DJ to know exactly what to play on your big day after sending him/her 3 songs. So und...
erstand that you're going to need to put in some work yourself if you want to be completely satisfied. That goes for Linh, as well as any other DJ out there. We personally put together a playlist with about 20 songs for the pre-ceremony music, 30 songs for cocktail hour/dinner, and 30 songs for dancing, and that seemed to give Linh enough context to add/subtract as needed.
One of the best things you can do is review a few of the playlists that Linh already put together for his other weddings. These are available on his Spotify profile. Browse around, and you might actually find a few playlist that instantly hit the spot.
But providing the bones of a memorable playlist is just part of the work Linh does. He has to play the ceremonial music all at the exact right time, he has to monitor how the crowd is responding during cocktail hour, he has to be flexible with the dance songs so that the dance floor doesn't clear out....
And he did that to perfection at our wedding. We're so glad we went with SF DeeJays and recommend Linh 100%!!!!
On the extra items: I did attend a wedding that Linh was at, and that couple decided to get all the bubble machine and extra lighting. It was pretty fun! We personally didn't have the extra features, but didn't feel the absence at all. It's all up to each couple to decide for themselves, but if you do decide to go with the bubbles and lighting, I don't think you'll regret spending the money and vice versa.

Our initial call really set the tone, helping us understand his experience and letting him know what we envisioned for our wedding. My now-husband and I had a blast making it a date night, listening to songs on Spotify to build our playlist, and checking out some of Linh’s curated playlists from his past clients, which was so helpful in shaping our music choices.
A huge plus for us was that Linh was one of the preferred vendors at our venue, so his knowledge of the flow and layout was spot-on. We even decided to upgrade our package, and let me tell you—it was SO worth it! Our guests were totally surprised by the popping bubbles, and it added the perfect magical touch. Everyone danced all night, and it couldn’t have been better. Highly recommend working with DJ Linh—he’s incredible!

For the event his mixing of music was excellent, he was able to combine older music with more modern tunes to get multiple generations interested in dancing. He was able to keep everyone dancing throughout the night. Even individuals at our wedding who are not ones who usually dance were up and on the dance floor.
Also, our wedding we had an unfortunate medical event happen just prior to starting and he was able to be both flexible and courteous with our concerns and adjust on the fly when needed. He was able to keep the energy and mood up so everyone could still enjoy the celebration.
