Her skills have been recognized by an array of experts in her local area of Pittsburgh, where she once owned and managed her own salon. Shannon began to take cosmetology classes before graduating from high school, emphasizing her dedication to carving a career in the world of beauty. Shade Makeup Artistry specializes in subtle, natural makeup that enhances the inner beauty you already possess.
This multi-talented makeup artist works her magic on clients preparing for an engagement photoshoot, pre-wedding celebrations, and the big day itself. She can travel and bring her expertise to wherever you feel most comfortable. Shannon recommends a consultation and makeup trial, to find the right look to accentuate your personal sense of style. If you prefer the look of full-coverage makeup, Shade Makeup Artistry is well-versed in the application of airbrush makeup. For an additional fee, Shannon can stay nearby and provide touch-ups if the whirlwind of emotions have gotten the better of your makeup. A fluttery set of false eyelashes can be a glamorous finishing touch to your curated look.

my trial. I asked for bronze/brown tone eye shadow and fresh skin that covered up any blemishes (I had three small spots and some rosacea that I can easily cover and looks good when I do my own makeup) my eyes were mauve/pink, the eyelashes were cheap looking and spiky, my skin looked cakey, dry and flakey. Within three hours one of my eyelashes was falling off and my face makeup was breaking apart even more. After the trial I stayed inside my air conditioned home and worked on the computer. I looked 10 years older and certainly not beautiful. During the trial I mentioned the few things I didn’t like and felt so uncomfortable and unheard. She “fixed” my eyes, they were still pink not brown, told me to exfoliate more, and said “I think you look beautiful.” I did not feel comfortable, respected or heard. So much so that even though her contract states you have to pay full price for services that would be rendered regardless of when or why you cancel.
