o book their services for my September 2020 wedding and they were great! They were so easy to talk to and made tou feel so comfortable. They kept in touch and helped me find hair and makeup artist for my big day. On my wedding day I was running late and as soon as i hoped out of the car at the venue Wendy was right there to help. She helped me bring my things up to the bridal suite and still managed to get all the pre ceremony pictures i wanted so bad and she was so sweet the whole time, she even helped my bridesmaids with buttoning up my dress because they were scared they were going to rip off a button. After the ceremony she was great and was able to get all the family and bridal party pictures fast and easy so my groom and I could go off and get pictures of just us. I have never done professional photos for anything before and she made us so comfortable and made it alot of fun. During the receptions she gave us a sneak peek of the amazing photographs she had taken up to that point and i couldnt believe how amazing the photos were!! My guest were raving about how great they had came out and how nice it is that she did that for us and everyone to see! My wedding was just a few days ago but I cannot wait till we get all the photos from our very special day. I cant believe how beautiful these pictures are!

. Not only did we have them there on the wedding day, Wendy designed our Save the Dates, Invitations/RSVP cards, and thank you cards (with a photo of us). They were cohesive and matched the New England/Mystic vibe that we wanted. On the day of the wedding they were prompt, helpful, and you could tell that they loved what they did! They made taking photos fun and comfortable. One of my favorite things that they offer that I have not seen anywhere else is that during the dinner, they print out photos that they took that day and display them for your guests to see. We got to take those home at the end of the night and it was so great to already have photos from our wedding in our hands. You will not be disappointed with hiring them for your special day!

ry photo request we had and the shots they got were fantastic! Even in the dark, they were able to capture the beauty and love in the day, and we couldn't be happier with the photos! They were fun, kind, and professional, but they were also warm an made us feel like we knew them forever. The details in some of the shots they took were amazing, and some of the pictures we couldn't even have dreamed of setting up, but they knew exactly what to do to make the day special! e every part of the wedding planning process and our wedding day extremely memorable. The night of the wedding Wendy and Traci printed out pictures from the day and they were displayed on our sweetheart table. It was such an awesome surprise and a great addition to the evening. It was also one of the hottest days of the year and they were very helpful with making sure the pictures we needed came out great. Thanks so much ladies!

y husband and I were both in another friends wedding when we met Wendy, after seeing her work and how she interacted with people we knew that we were going to hire her for our wedding as well. Wendy and Sheri bring a professional but fun vibe to a wedding day. They make you feel relaxed, calm and enjoy taking photos! They really take an interest in getting to know the couple and understanding the types of photos they want. Also, they offer something unique that I had never seen until we attended our friend's wedding. They print a few select photos on the spot during the reception so you and your guests can get a sneak peak as to what your day looked like. The photos were strung up at our wedding and I cried because they were so beautiful! It is such a fun touch and our guests said it was so unique and something they had never seen before!! Again, my husband and I could not say enough good things about working with Shades Shutter. I can't wait to hopefully work with them again in the near future!

Throughout the planning process they were always prompt when returning phone calls and emails and would check in periodically to see how we were doing. On the day of they captured amazing moments and printed them out during the reception, which was a huge hit! We loved how take charge Wendy was in organizing both her staff and our videographer from a separate company to make sure they all got the detailed shots they wanted/needed. Our photos are fantastic and our family/friends greatly appreciated being able to see prints during the reception. Definitely one of the highlights! Beyond their work, Wendy was so much fun to work with... even jumping into the middle of a dance circle during the reception! We highly recommend Shades Shutters photography.

All our family and friends couldn’t believe how seamlessly they blended in with the crowd and ability to handle the family dynamics. From the moment we contacted them, to our amazing engagement photoshoot (theater themed at a local theater!), to our wedding two weeks ago where they captured the most amazing photos (and printed day-of photos for our wedding guests to see during the reception - which by the way, brought my now husband to tears!), they are the real deal. Communication with them was super easy, timely, and thorough, and they were so flexible with our sometimes out of the box requests since we are such a theatrical bunch. I just can't say enough good things about these two amazing professional women who took our vision into their hearts and translated it back to us so beautifully. live. We did our engagement shoot with Traci who helped (try) to make us more comfortable in front of the camera. Despite feeling really awkward, we loved our engagement pictures and Traci did a great job at capturing those natural moments! Prior to the wedding I spoke to Traci about the flow and timeline of the day and she was so nice and excited to help celebrate our wedding day! By the time the big day rolled around Traci and Krissy felt like part of crew! They did a great job of working around us and going with the flow when we were running off schedule. One of my favorite things about Shades Shutters is the fact that they print a bunch of pictures that night to display for your guest! The next morning my family was laughing that I already had a photo album of professional pictures from the night before. This is definitely something no one has seen before and makes them unique and special. I truly enjoyed having Traci and Krissy a part of our wedding day!

We clicked with them from the first meeting and absolutely loved their personalities. They made my husband and I feel extremely comfortable on the day of and captured so many great moments. It started to monsoon when we got to the venue and Wendy & Traci were so calm and cool that I could not help feel the same. We felt so relaxed and it showed in the photos they took. I loved how they printed out some of the prints from the day right at the reception and put them on display. It was great to have immediate photos to look at. Overall, it was a great experience. If you want the best, book these ladies :)

uestions that you have. Not only did they create beautiful photos but they were tons of fun to work with. We had a ton of laughs :) The day of the wedding was no different than that. They were with us all day, and very attentive to what pictures we wanted. I can honestly say that I can't pick a favorite out of the teaser pictures we received, they all came out so amazing. My favorite part is that by the end of the night, we had pictures from the day on our sweetheart table and cake table. We also were able to take them home with us, it certainly helped with our wedding withdrawals. I will be using them in the future, and would recommend them highly to anyone!

em. When we felt awkward and stiff during our engagement shoot, Wendy knew exactly how to get us to loosen up and have fun with it. From start to finish Wendy and Traci were on top of all the small details. Prior to the wedding day we had discussed timing and they kept the day running perfectly. We took their recommendations based on our venue, weather and time of day and I believe the day could not have gone smoother. Always being close by and ready with recommendations and support, they were my wedding day fairy godmothers! We decided not to have a videographer for our wedding and with all the amazing photos we now have, I am 100% happy with our decision. I highly recommend their services to everyone looking for picture perfect photos and a stress free wedding day!

ly spoke with Wendy over the phone about pricing, she was not only constantly distracted by her young son, but was speaking through Bluetooth in her car which cut out more than once and she had to call me back. I inquired about their "customizable" packages; I was set on things I wanted and didn't want out of a photographer. Wendy barely worked with us. When she finally got back to me with a quote, not much changed between package 1 & 2. Nonetheless, I believed their work was stunning and pressed forth with drawing up a contract. I explained to Wendy & Traci that mine and my fiance's engagement party was approaching, and asked if I could wait to put a deposit down. They were very understanding....I will give them that. However, my gut told me that for the price they were charging, and for the bare bones the package included, I should look elsewhere. I found another photographer - who insisted on meeting in person, not speak over the phone - who, for only slightly more money, included SO much more than Wendy & Traci offered. I politely emailed them sending our regards, and that we chose to go with another vendor. I expressed my thanks, best wishes, and would recommend their stunning work to others. Less than a half hour later, I received a very nasty email from Wendy. Not only was it unprofessional, but I was appalled about how rude she was. I understand that my fiance and I committed to using them as our photographers, but a) our wedding is over a year and a half away, and b) we did not sign a contract, nor make a deposit and ask for our money back. My advice if you're looking around for photographers: their work is beautiful, but make sure you're dead set on using them or else you may receive the lashing that I did.
