So happy that we had Amy and Andrew for wedding photography and videography. I have become obsessed with looking at the photos and re-watching the video. They were able to capture so many special moments. They knew exactly what we needed and wanted. They day was so much less stressful due to Amy's organization, expertise, and flexibility. I am so happy we the best photos, with the coolest backdrops/lighting, to look back on and remember this special day.

Amy and Andrew went above and beyond for us on our daughter’s wedding day. We are so thankful that they were there to capture every special moment. The photos are absolutely amazing! We loved working with Shadow and Light STL.!

Shadow and Light did an amazing job at my daughter and son-in-laws wedding! Amy was wonderful during the wedding planning! She did the kids engagement photos too which all were beautiful! I am forever thankful we snagged Amy from Shadow & Light for our wedding day. She met with us from the very beginning about the types of photos we were drawn to and the moments and relationships that are most special to us. We were blown away by the beautiful albums she had created for past brides and grooms but even more so by how personable and enjoyable our meeting was. After booking, we scheduled engagement pictures and Amy went above and beyond - from helping me decide what outfits to wear and where to take our photos, to climbing up in trees and laying on the ground to get some amazing images. Amy was able to highlight some of our favorite parts of our relationship in our photos. She also was flexible and able to reschedule multiple times to get a day with beautiful weather - not many people are willing to do that. Amy stayed in touch with us up to our big day so on the actual day of it didn't feel like a stranger was hanging around all day but an old friend. She and her teammate worked wonderfully together capturing images in such a variety of poses, angles, and lighting. One thing that I love the most about our photos is the HUGE variety of photos. Amy put aside some pretty huge personal curveballs to make sure we always had her full attention and support. Booking with Shadow & Light was a huge blessing. We <3 Amy!

Where to even begin. Amy, Andrew. Joel and Chris couldn’t have made our special day more amazing than they did. Let me back up a bit though. Amy and Andrew photographed my sisters wedding three years ago and they did such a wonderful job that I knew when it was my turn, there was no one else I wanted to work with. So as soon as I got engaged I called Amy to book her for our June wedding at the Four Seasons. My now husband had never met Amy before and when we sat down to meet with her for our first meeting, I remember driving home with John and him sharing with me how happy he was to have Amy be a part of this special day with us. The way she took time to get to know him, ask about his family, and really learn about us as a couple allowed John and I both to feel confident and comfortable with choosing Amy as our wedding photographer. We knew from that day forward that she was going to capture our day exactly as we wanted it and were certain she was our girl. In October, Amy did our Engagement pictures at Tower Grove Park. Amy captures such amazing angles and shots, and oh did I mention she did this whole session while having a fever and terrible cold ! What a real trooper. As June came closer, I texted with Amy quite a bit more. She was always responsive within minutes, even when her sweet dog went to doggie heaven. Amy kept our wedding and our love part of her life. She spoke to both sets of our parents before the wedding to check in with them, and ensure their requests were taken care of. Amy made sure that the list of family pictures were accounted for and an up to date timeline was ready to go for the day of and also checked in with other vendors before the day of. On the wedding day, the team arrived with ease. Andrew on video with Joel, Amy on photography and a friend of Amy’s - Chris a second shooter. I felt like a movie star (in a good way). Amy knew exactly where to take the photos, how to get people where they needed to be, and how to ease everyone through each transition. She even helped to tell my now husband that I was in the bathroom as he was waiting for me down the aisle :). Never once was I worried that a picture didn’t get captured or a moment wasn’t covered. Shadow and Light had it and would continue to the entire evening. After receiving our pictures back, I couldn’t be more convinced that we made the right choice with Shadow and Light. They make you feel like family, they make your wedding part of their lives, and they truly cherish your love story. Thank you Amy, Andrew, Joel and Chris for bringing our wedding day to life and allowing us to have memories to last a lifetime. We are forever grateful for you.

After looking at several different options for videographers, we found Shadow & Light and fell in love! From the first phone call with Andrew, I knew they were the team for us. Andrew asked questions to truly get to know us as a couple and help us decide which video style was right for us. He never tried to upsell us to the most expensive package. He wanted the video to truly reflect our day and our style as a couple. He was very responsive to my questions and provided a number of different options to fit our budget. Honestly, they are very fairly priced for the quality you get! The day of the wedding, Andrew and his second shooter arrived early to get some details shots. They worked seamlessly with our photographer. It was almost like they were all one team! He was very respectful, courteous, and professional. Yet he was still personable and fun! I cannot say enough good things about how well Andrew worked on our wedding day to get all of the shots we wanted in our video. I cannot wait to see the footage!!

Sonni took our engagement and wedding pictures and we could not be happier! She was vey responsive from the first contact to months after our wedding, making sure we had everything. She even offered a second engagement session because she knew how much I wanted sunset pictures, which we were unable to get during our winter session. She was also awesome volunteering to take care of any crazy family members on the day of our wedding when it came to random pictures. She fit in perfectly with our bridal party making it so fun and natural while taking our pictures. She even went far enough to help me into my wedding dress while my mom was quickly changing into her dress for pictures. She will make you look so beautiful and feel the most confident she can on your best day ever. You will not regret choosing Sonni for your wedding! I definitely will be using her for future family pictures!

Shannon and Joel photographed my wedding day and we’re an absolute joy to work with. They make everything so easy, even the family portraits where my husband and I have 8 nieces and nephews all under the age of 10 years old. Our day even ran a little behind but Shannon and Joel just helped keep me calm but managed to squeeze in photos even when there really was no time. During the reception when my husband and I were the most overwhelmed, they even pulled us aside for some alone time and to get a few more photos and a breather from the craziness of the reception. Honestly I am so thankful I chose them as our photographers because they are not only gifted in their talents, but they are kind, funny, and go the extra length to make you feel special and taken care of.

Shadow & Light provided photography and videography for our wedding. Shannon and Joel Conner were our photographers and Andrew Meyerott was our videographer. Joel is an absolute artist with his photography. We were amazed at the quality of the photos and his willingness to put himself in interesting situations to get the coolest pictures! Both Shannon and Joel were great to work with. The wedding day was very intimate, and we were extremely comfortable with them being involved with us for the entire day. Andrew is quite the artist as well! The feature film he created for us was stunning and makes us cry every time we watch it. Top notch quality from both the photos and video. I cannot say enough good things about Shadow and Light! We were looking for a cinematographer and they came highly recommended by our wedding planner. We really liked the style of their videos and decided to set up a meeting with Andrew to see if it would be a good fit. Andrew was absolutely fantastic and we knew immediately we wanted him as our videographer, and could not be happier with our decision! He had great communication throughout our wedding planning process and went above and beyond the day of our wedding. We really wanted a drone shot of us on the terrace of our venue, however, due to a Cardinals game, our venue fell within a no fly zone during a specified time period. Andrew was amazing and worked with us to get the perfect drone shot while still abiding by the no fly zone rules, even staying later in the evening than planned to ensure we had a great night shot to round out the video! He was extremely easy to work with and made us feel very comfortable. He also worked exceptionally well with our photographer and other vendors, which made things so much easier! The final product was exceptional. The wedding highlight video perfectly captured our day and we couldn’t love it more. We highly suggest Shadow and Light and would definitely use them again for any future cinema needs.

I cannot even begin to describe how amazing Shadow and Light was for our wedding and engagement session! I worked with Cari from the beginning and she was everything! She always made sure we were on the same page, that she knew exactly what I wanted and the style I was going for, not to mention she is so creative, fun and very easy going! Day of could not have gone better! Cari was with me before the wedding and throughout and made the entire experience fun! Hannah was with the boys while getting ready and was with me right before I walked down the aisle and managed to keep me calm, took great shots and so fun! Our photos turned out absolutely beautiful! First let me start off by saying my now husband is a model and I really wanted to find a photographer who would make me feel comfortable in front of the camera. Amy and Andrew did just that! Amy and Hannah were awesome to work with. We got married on one of the hottest days of the year and Amy worked with us so people weren't standing out in the heat for pictures. They were super upbeat, complimentary and creative. The pictures are incredible. I couldn't have asked for better!

Long before I met my now-husband I knew one thing about my wedding... Joel Conner would be my photographer. It just so happened when I met the man of my dreams he had known Joel from years through Joel’s t-shirt company. So it was an easy decision to agree upon when I told Shawn that I already had our photographer picked out. Joel and his wife Shannon went above and beyond the day of my wedding. Joel and Shannon have a very artistic way of photographing. Ive only gotten our sneak peak photos back at this point and I can tell you from those 15 photos Joel was worth every penny! It’s easy to say I would hire them again in a heart beat.

We were so happy we chose Shadow and Light for our wedding photography and videography. Joel and Shannon are the perfect photography duo. They took amazing engagement and wedding photos of us. My husband and I are not huge on picture but they make the whole process so easy and comfortable. We had some rain in the morning and early afternoon but Joel and Shannon and Andrew rolled with the punches and came up with some amazing shots. They honestly made the entire day go so smoothly. Andrew and Jermey did our videography and they were just as amazing! This team works very well together. They are all so professional and fun. Shannon and Joel are miracle workers, I cannot say enough nice things about them. Shannon and Joel are more than just photographers. They are artist. They know exactly how to make an image more than just a photo. They also went out of their way during my husband and I's wedding to make sure our day went smooth. They were our photographers, however they also knew how to kindly direct everyone where they needed to be! Their pricing might give you sticker shock but when you get your photos you will never regret it.

I cannot recommend Shadow and Light enough! We were passing by their booth at a bridal show when they were previously Meyerott Photography and Cinema and were immediately drawn to Amy's photos. Once I set up a meeting with her and her husband, it was such an easy decision. You feel like you've known them forever even when you've just met them. This was so important to us as we looked for someone to capture some of the most special moments in our lives. Amy and her team are the absolute sweetest people and so much fun to work with throughout the whole process from engagement photos to the wedding day. Shannon and Joel are amazing photographers and are worth every penny. If you are looking for photos that are full of life, emotion and color, then they are your best bet. My husband and I had them photograph our engagement session and our wedding. I was so nervous at first because I have never had professional photos taken of me. However, Shannon and Joel made us feel so at ease and gave us direction on how to pose. They are so easy to work with and are a delightful couple!

We could not have asked for better people to capture our special day! Joel flew to Seattle to photograph our wedding! He and Shannon are super easy to work with! Joel also met up with us to do our engagement when we were in STL for 2 days. Simply the best!

Cari, from Shadow & Light - formerly Amy Meyerott Photography, did an OUTSTANDING job taking the pictures at my daughter's wedding on May 20, 2017. From the our first meeting with Cari, we felt confident in her ability to photograph the wedding. She was energetic, professional and personable. She, Sarah and John "clicked"!! When she arrived at our home the day of the wedding, she quickly assessed photo opportunities by our beautiful windows and baby grand piano! She took some amazing shots of all of us as we helped Sarah getting into her gown. Everyone has commented on how beautiful all the pictures are and what extraordinary shots Cari was able to take throughout the whole day!! We can't speak highly enough about her and her work! I would highly recommend her to anyone looking for a photographer! In fact, we have contracted with her to shoot my youngest daughter's wedding next June! My husband and I absolutely loved working with Joel and Shannon! We had wedding events spread over two days and they were more than willing to work with us to create a custom package. The pictures were positively stunning, not to mention the great quality of the albums and canvases we purchased. The best part was how easy going and friendly they were with us and everyone at our wedding. Since then, they have worked with both friends and family and their work continues to be amazing!

We had the pleasure of first meeting Amy and Andrew when they were the photographers at our best friends' wedding. My fiance was a groomsman in the wedding, and this was definitely not his first rodeo. As a career groomsman, he's been in more weddings than you can count on two hands and this session with Amy and Andrew, was by far his best experience - he has never felt more comfortable in front of the camera. Shortly before meeting Amy and Andrew, my fiance and I began planning our own wedding. About six months out from the day of our wedding, our photographer cancelled our contract for personal reasons and we found ourselves in a real pickle. As I scoured the internet looking for local St. Louis photographers, I found myself wishing "I wish we could find someone as great as Amy and Andrew!" but was sure that they were already booked for the day. Luck was in our favor though and we were able to have Amy and Andrew join us for our big day! We had such an amazing experience throughout the day - Amy and Andrew were wonderful at capturing our private, nervous moments before, our joyous moments during, and the celebration with our family after our ceremony. It truly was a magical day because they were there. Not only did Amy and Andrew capture every beautiful moment of the day, the helped us feel at ease by helping to facilitate the schedule with our bridal party and our family - there was absolutely no stress because we had these pros on our side! I would 100% recommend Amy and Andrew to anyone looking for a supremely personable, professional, and talented team! Where do I even start....Almost EVERY SINGLE Photograph in our house has been taken by Amy and Andrew from Shadow and Light. From Family Photos, Maternity and Newborn, to Engagement and Our Wedding there has not been a single important moment uncaptured by the two of them. They are beyond talented and really know how to make you feel at ease on your special day. Amy and Andrew both work so flawlessly together making sure every detail is captured and every photograph is perfection. On your wedding day there will be so many things going on that you will more than likely miss. Whether it be kids pouring their hearts out on the dance floor, decoration details that you thought about for months but didn’t even see or a father looking at his daughter as he walks her down the aisle. You can rest assured knowing that Amy and Andrew are SUPERHEROES and will capture it! I cannot say enough about how amazing they are to work with. I have yet to fall in love with one of their photos and it is safe to say they have truly found their calling in life.

Joel and Shannon photographed our wedding this past June 2016. Our photographs are beautiful, genuine, candid, and completely captured our day. Even more, we loved how well the Connors got along with everyone and how seamless the day went. We are happy to now call them friends. A few months prior, we had an engagement shoot. They made it so fun and natural, we knew we chose the right photographers for us. They were always there to answer questions and I would recommend them to anyone. I can not say enough good things about our wedding experience with Joel & Shannon! My husband and I have never been great at having our picture taken! Our very first time meeting was our engagement photo session, and it couldn't have been more perfect! WOW!! Where to start?! Well first off - they are amazing people. Fun, funny, professional, and overall just great people. As a couple they work wonderfully together and made me and my groom feel at ease at all times. Their greatest strength is capturing life, love and joy in pictures. Not sure where to even start! Amy and Andrew were THE BEST to work with. They did photo and video of my wedding in June and moved all of us to tears. The first time I saw one of Shadow and Light’s wedding photographs, I had an instant photography crush. The first time I spoke to Amy Meyerott, that crush turned into love. The love, warmth, passion, kindness, and joy that pour out of every one of their photographs so obviously stems from Amy. Interestingly, the first time I saw one of Amy’s photographs was on Facebook, after a friend from college, who I hadn’t seen in years, posted her wedding album. I loved the photographs so much that I immediately reached out to Shadow and Light without even looking at where the company was located. It was quite a funny phone call when Amy and I figured out that while she was located in St. Louis, and I was located in Miami, Florida, our wedding would take place in Napa, California. During such a hectic and stressful planning time, I initially thought this might be a logistical nightmare, but I was so wrong. Amy and the rest of the Shadow and Light team were so professional and on top of everything the entire time that I wish all my wedding vendors were them. And with a wonderful eye for spotting the most beautiful place for a picture in any room, location, or venue, Amy is the ideal photographer for destination weddings. During both our engagement shoot and the actual wedding, she thought of everything and arranged everyone so quickly and perfectly to get the best shots. What can sometimes feel uncomfortable, was made almost effortless with her direction and help. Now, let’s talk about the photographs. I am a perfectionist, always have been and always will. Choosing a gorgeous location like Napa, CA, my husband, event planner, and I all had very high expectations for our photographs and the photographs Amy took did not disappoint. Sitting down with my husband when we got back from our honeymoon and going through all the pictures was such an amazing experience. There are no words, we absolutely loved them. We re-experienced the whole day, laughing, crying (mostly me) and so much more. I still cannot pick a favorite of the portrait shots she took of us and the vineyard shots highlighting our Napa location are to die for. I’ve only put up a few of the pictures on social media so far and everyone I talk to is in love with them too. You will read this in all the reviews on this page, but Amy was way more than a photographer during our wedding planning process, she genuinely cared about us, our relationship, our vision of the wedding and most importantly how we wanted our photographs. While I didn’t have the pleasure of working with all of the Shadow and Light team, with the pride Amy has in her work and her demand for quality, I know that they are all just as amazing. I cannot thank Amy enough for capturing our special day in a way we will look back on it with love for years to come. I only hope, despite our living in different cities, I can convince her to do some more destination photography sessions during other special moments in our lives. :)
