Shadow Shine Pictures

July 12. They were booked. I sunk to the floor in a stupor. No. no. This could not be. From the very first time my boyfriend Joseph and I started talking about engagement, I knew that I wanted Shadow|Shine to film our wedding. After he popped the question and I said yes, I had a long list of best friends, classmates, grand parents and great aunts to call. But the very first vendor on my list was Shadow|Shine. Joseph and I had already picked a venue and a date - July 12 - or so we thought. When Matt, their executive producer, told me they were booked, I knew we had to change our wedding date. The next date they were available was July 05. I knew it would be difficult to convince my husband-to-be that finding a new venue and getting married on a holiday weekend wasn't THAT crazy of an idea. Thankfully, all I had to tell him was that we'd be getting married a week earlier and he was on board. ;) But why was I so willing to change my wedding date even when it meant some of my friends and family wouldn't be able to make it? Well let me tell you a little bit about Shadow|Shine.... Matt & Nate, two of the directors on the Shadow|Shine team, were both college friends and fellow colleagues of mine. We had worked together at our university and I had seen firsthand the quality and artistry behind their work. Both of them have a high personal standard for their work and they won't settle for anything less. I knew that standard would translate into their company. And I could see it in the work they produced. Not only did I see high quality work in the wedding trailers they posted, I could see their artistic handiwork through their branding. Their image and personality is consistent with their product. However, all their products do not look the same. While maintaining their standards for quality and style of filming, Shadow|Shine does an outstanding job capturing the personality and style of the couple they are working with. They capture the wedding's style in the way they frame their shots and let the wedding speak for itself. They don't created stilted shots that are posed. They don't interfere with the natural flow of the day. They capture it. Some bride's are peppy and upbeat. Some are reflective and romantic. And Shadow|Shine's videos capture those unique differences in each wedding. As for my video, they did a phenomenal job recreating the magic of the day... not just because they "captured the moments" but they actually captured the excitement, anticipation, fun, and happiness I was feeling. If I had my wedding to do all over again, Shadow|Shine would still be my first phone call. And I would change my wedding date in a heartbeat.

There is a mixture of tears and a big goofy smile every time I watch our wedding trailer. It is absolutely breathtaking! I've never seen myself or husband happier and the film is absolutely priceless and timeless. The entire Shadow|Shine team was incredibly friendly, professional and a true joy to be around. They took the time to get to know us as a couple and in turn, captured our big day perfectly. From the smallest details to the biggest moments, Shadow|Shine Pictures really knows how to show off your personal style, character and the all around celebration of your big day. Matthew and his cinematography team turns your wedding day into a work of art, a masterpiece for everyone to enjoy. I can now look back on the happiest day of my life for the rest of my life.

Shadow|Shine Pictures filmed my wedding on July 26, 2014 and they did an excellent job. I really enjoyed the laid back atmosphere they set which made me at ease on my wedding day. Everything went so smoothly that day and they kept encouraging me how beautiful everything was turning out to be! They were flexible to shoot in several locations. Overall I had an amazing day and would recommend Shadow|Shine Pictures to everyone looking for a wedding videographer. Just go to their website and watch any of their wedding trailers. I cry every time!

Choosing Shadow|Shine to film our wedding was a fantastic decision! We selected the Distinguished|Breathtaking package, which provided them to be there all day long. We wanted to make sure that every moment was captured, and their team made sure to do just that. They took care of everything for us, and made our day easy and enjoyable because we were able to trust them completely. During the ceremony, they were ninjas! From the footage I’ve seen thus far, I have loved the phenomenal work and unique style Shadow|Shine brings. Their cinematography was amazing and their featured photographer worked really well with us. They tailored their package to suit us well. Having a well-documented wedding day was worth every dime!

We are so happy that we chose Shadow|Shine to video our wedding. Their crew was excellent and very professional. They made sure they were as un-obtrusive as possible while still getting great footage. During the actual ceremony I completely forgot they were there! We chose their Modern|Grand package which ended up being great for us! The video looked beautiful and I love going back and watching it. They were able to capture moments we missed as well as moments that we'll want to remember forever. Their price is reasonable, they deliver on a great product, and their crew was great.

The team at Shadow Shine was great to work with. Matthew was extremely helpful. First off, he was able to work with our budget, and tailor his package to meet our needs. He is very open to any and all ideas we had for our wedding. Everything from camera angles to song choices, he made it happen the way we'd hoped for. There was a team of three videographers at our wedding. All were extremely friendly and got great shots without being overbearing of our space. My only reason for four stars was the length of time it took to get our video back. This is probably something that we could have had clearly stated in the beginning - but the video took about 9 months to reach completion.

I am happy that my wife and I allowed Matthew and his team at Shadow Shine Pictures to document our wedding. The wedding trailer is something that is timeless and reflects our wedding day perfectly. It captures the joy of that hot summer day for us, our family and our friends. I could not have asked for a better way to remember our wedding day and will be excited to show this video to anyone (especially our children someday). The team at Shadow Shine were extremely professional and provided a final product that is more than I could have asked for.

I was at first hesitant about having a videographer but now I watch the video more than I look at the photos from our wedding! Shadow and shine captured our personalities and things we didn't remember on our wedding day! They were flexible and accommodating with what we wanted. When our videos were posted there were people who didn't know who cried when they saw it! I would 100 percent recommend shadow and shine to capture your wedding day!

After seeing the work they did for my friend I knew I wanted ShadowShine to do video my wedding too. Matthew and his team were professional, detail oriented and very friendly. They arrived at our rehearsal to review lighting, sound, camera set up, etc and took direction very well which made it so easy to work with them. The work they did for us was great! The wedding trailer and video were beautiful, and what I appreciated the most was Matthew's response time. I would email him about changes and song selections that I wanted, and he always responded within 1-2 days. And his emails would already contain the changes I requested. His efficiency was one of the best qualities I appreciated. Also, another aspect that had us going with ShadowShine was their affordability! Their prices were definitely affordable given the quality of their work. Weddings add up fast and this was one area where we didn't feel like we were "giving up" anything. And I have to add a short side story - During the wedding I forgot to mention to them that I wanted several pieces of clothing and jewelry focused on because they had been passed down to me and had significance. It was completely my fault, and knowing how much those items meant to me Matthew gladly offered to capture those items on a random Sunday after the wedding. The entire process took several hours and he periodically stopped and showed me the footage for my opinion and was receptive to my thoughts. He didn't have to take the extra time (2 hours!) to do this, and showed genuine invested. I'm not sure how many companies would do this for a bride so I know I made the right decision by going with them.

Shadow|Shine Pictures were amazing to work with during my wedding as well as after the big day. The team met with me a few times before the wedding to understand my vision and expectations and then delivered exactly what I had in mind. I couldn't have asked for a better team to work with! During the wedding, the team was very flexible and always capturing the important parts without "being in the way". Their equipment is compact and non-intrusive - which made a huge difference for a large wedding like ours (550+ guests). After the wedding, Shadow|Shine Pictures has been constantly in touch and have incorporated many of my ideas into the final edits - for example, they set up studio time so my mom could record a song for one of my highlight films. Overall, I am so thoroughly impressed by Matthew and his team - they were all a pleasure to work with, had a great personalities, and you can tell they absolutely love what they do - it shows in their work!
