Where Rustic Meets Elegance
Shadow Wood Manor is a historic barn wedding venue in Moody, AL. A converted horse ranch on 20 acres of beautiful pastures, and ponds, with a covered bridge. A 4400sq.ft. wedding barn complete with crystal chandeliers, a bride's room, antique furnishings, dance floor, a bar, a fireplace, a covered patio, heat and air, a prep kitchen, and handicap accesible restrooms. Each day includes a day prior for setting up, decorating, and a run thru rehearsal. We include tables, chairs, linens, rustic decorations, centerpieces, lanterns, whiskey barrels, and a golf cart, although parking is close enough to walk. We have a large screen tv and some sound equipment. Your choice of caterer, florist, DJ, and bakery. Alcohol is permitted with security. A hidden gem in Moody for your special day.

We love Karla and Joe and Shadow Wood Manor. My wife and I are so glad that we were married there. It's such a beautiful, private, serene setting. Karla is just the loveliest person and a gracious host. She was such a delight to work with, accommodating and sweet. We'll always be grateful for such a positive experience.

The venue is amazing! Everyone kept going on and on about how beautiful it was. Karla & Joe are absolutely amazing and went above and beyond to make our big day everything I could imagine! Thank you for helping to make memories that will last a lifetime for us!

Last night was my wedding night. It was one of the greatest nights of my life and the owners and staff of shadow wood manor are the reason that all of my dreams came true. The owners are the sweetest most honest people you’ll ever meet. They literally become your family during the process. This venue is 10/10. I had a venue for our wedding and we were not happy with it, so with about a month until our day, I was told about shadow wood by my photographer. I went the following day to check it out and immediately fell in love. I am so happy that my wedding day was available, because my wedding was amazing and beautiful! Thank you so much Shadow Wood Manor for making my dream come true and for being so amazing. I couldn’t have imagined sharing my special day with anyone else!

I got married here on March 16 of this year, and it was everything I imagined! Karla and Joe are so nice and helpful. They really go above and beyond to make sure everything is perfect for your big day. The venue is so unique and has so much character to it. Karla is so helpful and good at working with your budget, and she does not nickel and dime you for everything like other venues do! Karla is so sweet and you can tell she truly cares about your wedding and making sure it is exactly how you want it. We also did our engagement pictures at the venue and they turned out so good! The barn and their land is perfect for pictures. Thank you so much Karla and Joe for helping to make our special day so perfect! You guys are the best!

It was my honor and my pleasure to attend the beautiful wedding of Kyle & Holli on August 31st. I loved the doors that the bride and groom walked through to get to the area where the minister and guests were waiting in the special area outside. Everything was well planned and beautifully done for this new couple. So glad I got to attend!

I am a retired pharmacist, and live on a horse ranch with my husband. We are both retired now and no longer have horses. The property is so beautiful, I thought what a perfect setting for weddings. I have always loved hosting parties, so the idea came together for Shadow Wood Manor weddings and events. Shadow was the name of a much loved Arabian horse that lived here. hence the name Shadow Wood Manor. I love gardening , dancing, and spending time with friends and family (especially my grandson💕) I am looking forward to being a part of couples planning their dream wedding.
