Marisa is absolutely amazing at everything she does! I was able to have my makeup done by Marisa when she was hired for my best friend’s wedding. I was in awe by her skill and how ...
well she did! I knew when I got engaged, I would choose none other than Marisa to do my makeup on the day of my wedding. From someone who never wears makeup and dislikes the heavy makeup look and feel on myself, Marisa was able to easily and effortlessly bring out my beauty in a way that accentuated my natural features without taking away from who I am and how I see myself. She is truly a master at her work, and her makeup skills are art to say the least. Her skill shines even further with my makeup on my wedding day not even feeling like I had makeup on and it continuing to look fresh and amazing throughout all the hours of pictures, smiling, dancing and sweating without dripping or smudging once! I would recommend Marisa and shake up makeup to anyone who wants a genuine, kind and even Moreso skilled and talented person who can bring whatever vision you have to light, weather through fitness or makeup, she continues to amaze to say the least!
I could not be more happy with Marisa from Shakeup Makeup. She is the sweetest human out there! She took the time to get to know each girl and what their skin was like in order to ...
make them all feel beautiful. My 76 year old grandmother had never had her makeup done professionally and Marisa made her feel like the most beautiful girl in the world! I would 1000x over, recommend Marisa for all your bridal needs!
There's no one I would recommend more than Marisa from Shakeup Makeup to do your wedding makeup! I felt flawless in my own skin! She asked every girl questions: their normal makeup...
routine, typical dryness of skin, their vision, and more. Every girl in my wedding party loved their makeup and didn't feel that their makeup was caked on them. Marisa enhanced our natural beauty, leaving us all feeling much more confident in ourselves. You get more than a makeup artist with Marisa- you get the hype girl that you've always dreamed about. You get someone who is willing to teach you things while you're in the seat, you get someone who will keep you and your party on time, someone who will remind you to eat and drink before the ceremony begins, you get someone who is willing to break down and dance with you to keep good vibes going, you get someone who will help you with literally anything (cutting tags, clean up, etc). You get someone who genuinely loves what she does and wants you to feel as beautiful as she sees you! My experience with Marisa was beyond words- it was superior! Your experience does not end when she leaves you- she supplies her brides with a personalized pouch with all of the essential items that a bride needs to keep her appearance fresh throughout the reception, including the shade of lipstick she used on you! I can't thank Marisa enough for such a seamless and memorable experience! I'll choose her for any occasion that I need makeup for!

like they had heavy makeup and still feel like themselves. Marisa did such an amazing job listening to each of them and bringing out their natural beauty! Everyone felt so gorgeous and makeup looked amazing all night long! She also brings amazing energy, and was such a pleasure to have getting ready in the morning! Couldn’t recommend her enough!!
Marisa is so wonderful! Not only is she extremely talented from a makeup perspective, but she is such a joy to be around. She has such a great vibe and fit in with my entire bridal...
party. She was even kind enough to assist with two of my bridesmaids who did their own makeup, but were struggling with their lashes! She went above and beyond to make sure my morning went smoothly and that we were all happy with our look. I felt so beautiful and only touched up my makeup once or twice all night (and I have very oily skin so this is outside the norm for me!). I highly recommend Marisa of Shakeup Makeup for ANY occasion!

eup trials with various vendors and each time left feeling so discouraged with heavy creased makeup on our faces. When we met Marisa it was a breath of fresh air. She still used airbrush makeup and fake lashes but that time was different, it was natural and beautiful makeup. We couldn't stop staring at ourselves! On my wedding day it was no different, even my grandmothers makeup was perfect! She is extremely talented but also the kindest human. She fit right in with the family and had just the right positive vibes you hope for the morning of your wedding. My next task is to find a reason to hire Marisa again. I cant thank her enough!

lamorous for my wedding and she nailed it! I had never worn fake lashes and she used the small individual lashes that looked so real and didn't weigh down my eyes. I felt so pretty and my makeup lasted all through the night even after sweating on the dance floor. Marisa is fun, vibrant and so easy to talk to and work with. She also did makeup for my mom, mother in law, grandmother, and two sister in laws and they all loved their makeup and Marisa's professionalism. I would highly recommend Shakeup Makeup to anyone looking for a makeup artist. She will bring your glow out!

wear makeup kind of girl. Marisa was there to do makeup for the wedding party and I was a little hesitant. I shouldn't have been. Not only did she do a great job, but it hardly felt like I was wearing any makeup at all! She was friendly, courteous, knowledgeable about what she was doing, and was able to put me at ease and make me feel as though it would be OK for all the guests to have pictures with me in them. I highly recommend her for your event!
Marisa was an absolute necessity to have on my wedding day. She has done my makeup I’m many weddings before my own big day, so new for sure I would want her for my special day. Not...
only did she know exactly what look I was going for, even though I couldn’t verbalize it well, she made everyone feel and look absolutely gorgeous. The make up was light and felt so natural. But what’s more important what she did for me on this special day was to keep me calm and helped me through many anxiety attacks while dealing with unexpectedly having to rush my pup to the ER. She made sure I was able to breathe through my anxiety and to keep me focused on the beauty all around me. Not to mention she had to fix my make up after a tear fest. I will be using her forever and would highly recommend her, as she stayed calm, cool, collected and kept everything moving even with all the craziness going on around me. For that I am forever grateful that I chose her.
Marisa did a wonderful job on my wedding makeup! She was so easy to work with and understood the look I wanted (even though I gave her minimal information - she figured out exactly...
what I was looking for).
She was punctual and very professional- I would recommend her to anyone looking for a great makeup artist.

ve that my make up lasted all day even with the 100 degree weather on that day. Her professionalism it top notch. I highly recommend Marisa to all brides out there and would welcome anyone to contact me directly for even more details. She picked out the most perfect colors for me to wear. She sent me with make up to freshen up during the reception. The eye lashes she applied stayed on for days and looked fabulous. You will not be disappointed when you work with Marisa. She is truly amazing and has a true gift.

ning with a case full of supplies and worked magic for me! I loved how natural my hair and makeup looked, but how wonderful I felt. In fact, my family told me that I had never looked more beautiful, even at my first wedding, almost 20 years ago. Thanks to Marisa for being so talented. Her personality, on top of her abilities, make her an absolute must for your event.
