Shannon is the BEST! She created our wedding cake for our February 2024 wedding and it was more beautiful than we could’ve imagined. From our imagination, it came to life in the most beautiful way. She is professional to work with, kind and understanding, and overall, her work speaks for itself! Our cake was several layers with three different flavors and icings that our whole wedding guest list could enjoy! It tasted amazing along with the beautiful outer look. We wouldn’t have wanted to go to anyone else, but Shannon! 1000/10

Over the years I’ve tasted a lot of cake and I can honestly say that Shannon’s cake is truly the best cake I’ve ever had! Shannon was also exceptionally helpful and easy to work with. We went into our cake tasting consultation not knowing exactly what kind of cake/filling we wanted or what we wanted our cake to look like. She had samples set up for us to taste and helped us put together the most perfect cake by asking us questions and going through inspiration photos. We were absolutely over the moon with our delicious and perfectly designed cake! I can’t recommend Shannon Bond more highly!

Shannon was the most incredible vendor to work with for our wedding. She was responsive to email, the tasting was fun and delicious, and we were left with no doubt that she would deliver a perfect cake for us. She exceeded our expectations with the design and flavors on the cake, and our guests loved it! She also offered several helpful logistical tips that we hadn't considered (how much weight the stand needs to hold, positioning the cake within our reception hall, etc). The most amazing part for us was getting a world class cake vendor for such a reasonable price. I cannot recommend Shannon Bond enough!

Shannon created a beautiful cake for my wedding. She was so warm and friendly. It made working with her a breeze. The hardest part was trying to decide which of her delicious cake flavors to choose. When it came to the design, she took my inspiration photo and adapted it to work for us. She was open to my design ideas and worked in the extra special details I requested. On my wedding day everyone wanted to take pictures of our cake because it was truly a work of art. It was better than what I envisioned. And forget needing to take home left over cake. Our guests ate every bite! I would recommend Shannon 100x!

Our tasting was the most informative meeting I had in planning my wedding, my husband had the time of his life trying all the flavoring Shannon had to offer that day. The flavors we chose that day were matched in the cake we eventually ordered. It was beautiful and exactly what I asked for. When our cake stand was problematic Shannon and her team took care of making sure our set up was still cute and rolled with the punches. I didn’t even know until after that a problem arose. Our guests LOVED the cake and found her shooters to be adorable and amazing. They were MUCH bigger than I expected and I fully feel like I got more than what I paid for! She also provides a “how to cut” cheat sheet and my wedding party was so grateful for that!

Shannon's cakes are the most delicious cakes I have ever tasted! I love that she offered fun flavors and allowed us to have more than one flavor in our cake! We went with vanilla (it's a classic), chocolate (I didn't even consider having chocolate until I tasted hers!), and snickerdoodle (biggest hit of the night)! A relative who claims they don't even like snickerdoodle cookies ended up eating 2 pieces of it! The designs she can do are just amazing, too. We ended up going with a more simple design, but she made even that look nice. For me, cake was one of the biggest priorities, because it's my favorite part of weddings. Shannon was the clear choice for me after tasting her cakes!

Every aspect of working with Shannon was impeccable. From the first phone encounter, ongoing timely communications and the beautiful set up for the cake testing. Shannon adds to this amazing customer service her personal special delivery of the wedding cake. Shannon did not make a cake for my daughter’s wedding she created a unique and exquisite work of art. The finished product was absolutely perfect and the different flavored layers were heavenly. Wedding guests continue to rave how our daughter’s cake was the best wedding cake ever!

Shannon was super easy to work with and did an amazing job!! We met beforehand to go over our vision for the cake and she made it come to life! Shannon Bond Cake Designed nailed it! Shannon created a five layer, gold and azure blue Art Deco masterpiece that highlighted the center of our ballroom floor! It instantly caught the eyes of our guests, as it portrayed such artistry! I cannot say enough great things about Shannon - she surpassed my every expectation and went beyond what would have been considered good customer service. The things dreams are made of! I found Shannon Bond on IG and couldn't wait to meet with her about our wedding cake. I was seriously stalking her account and just awed with every cake she posted. When we met with her, we knew we found our baker! She custom designed a cake for us that was elegant and delicious. It was front and center displayed on the dance floor and I cannot tell you how many people asked if it was real! Shannon is incredibly talented, professional and made us feel like we were her top priority (even though I know she had other weddings) we never felt rushed or like we were brushed off with any of the questions we asked - and I asked a lot of questions! She was a valuable resource for finding other vendors too. BUT do not listen to those guides which tell you you don't need to book your baker until 3-4 months before the wedding - BOOK Shannon, your venue, DJ and florist first!!

Shannon is AMAZING!! Out of all my vendors, she was so responsive via email. She listened to what I wanted and made any changes when requested. She arrived early to display the cake. The cake..looked phenomenal. It was so simple but oh so elegant. Both the flavors was delicious and moist. The last thing you would want is a dry cake and her cake is not dry at all. I heard from guests they really liked the cake. She is really sweet too. Just stop looking and book Shannon for your wedding day.

Shannon was amazing to work with and we knew immediately that she would be the perfect choice for us! I paid the down payment before meeting her because I didn't want anyone else to snag our date before we could set up a meeting. We had already seen and tasted her cake at my cousin's wedding a year ago, so we knew it would be delicious and beautiful. Her style is everything we envisioned for own wedding and nothing like anyone else in Kansas City has to offer! She had a variety of different and amazing flavors. We chose four flavors because we couldn’t narrow it down to just one. We also loved how organized and detail oriented she was. She was prompt with responses and always very thorough with answering any questions or handling any revisions. We knew she was on the ball and we didn't have to worry about anything with our cake on our wedding day! Our wedding cake was everything we dreamed it could be. Shannon's the best and we couldn't be happier with our cake and all around experience!

Phenomenal baker and artist! I had a bit of a different experience with finding vendors as an out-of-town bride. Shannon made our cake easy with fantastic communication from setting up a first meeting until our wedding day. I never had to wait more than a day for a response from her, most of the time it was even less. She designed the cake of my dreams and used our reception table decorations in our cake. The sketch was beautiful but the real cake was just even more phenomenal and deliciousness! We chose chocolate cake with salted caramel butter cream and vanilla cake with chocolate buttercream. We ordered more than our guest count and am glad we did because there was not a single slice leftover - everyone loved the cake! You will not second guess your decision if you use Shannon Bond - she's professional and outstanding at what she does!

I wanted to share our experience to help others who are just starting to plan their wedding. Bottom line - do not go the cheap route! I tried to go the less expensive route and it came back to bite me not once but twice. First baker sudden;y quit and went out of business, second baker was refused by my venue because she didn't even have insurance! I guess that's why they were less expensive! I found Shannon Bond Cakes through Instagram and we set up our meeting. We loved every flavor we tried but decided on vanilla cake with salted caramel buttercream and lemon cake with strawberry buttercream for our spring wedding. It was amazing and so beautiful! Shannon made sugar flowers that no one believed were made from sugar - they were the talk of the evening and I still, 6 months later, have people commenting on how beautiful and delicious our cake was. I am SO glad we found Shannon and highly recommend her to everyone looking for a DELICIOUS and beautiful cake!

Our cake was beautiful and delicious! I really wanted a cake that tasted good and not just looked good. We arrived at our taasting with Shannon and were blown away and signed a contract THAT DAY to make sure we woudn't lose her to someone else! I walked into the ballroom for our first look and was again blown away with what I saw with my cake. We had so many compliments through the evening about our cake, it was perfect -people will definitely remember A Shannon Bond cake! ;) I'm so excited because my cousin is getting married in April and is using Shannon - I'm looking forward to more cake! :)

We could not have had a better experience with our wedding cake! Shannon was attentive, professional, prompt with replies and out of this world amazing! I took pictres to other bakers who were willing to recreate the pictures but Shannon was the only baker to create something custom pulling details I loved from my dress and our invitations. It tied the entire reception together in a way I could never have imagined! She's a true artist in every sense of the word. Thank you Shannon, for making our day so special and creating such a delicious, custom centerpiece! We LOVED our cake!

My original cake person did not work out and I was scrambling to find someone to do the cake for our wedding. Shannon was responsive, professional, kind, and oh my goodness the cake!!!! Shannon Bond Cake Design was incredible to work with. My husband had to work during our cake tasting and Shannon packaged up all of our tastings so he could try them too. It was very sweet of her and worked out very well. My husband and I had both wanted something different so we went with his favorite of Pumpkin Spice Cake with Salted Caramel Butter Cream and my favorite of Almond Cherry Cake with Almond Butter Cream. We went with a Rustic Naked design with an edible flower. It was simple and beautiful. Shannon rented us a cake stand and came out to deliver the cake and set it up beautifully. We had zero cake left as everyone ate it up!

We actually got married in the winter 2017 but I feel really bad for forgetting to write a review until now! Shannon made our delicious wedding cake and since then has made our baby shower and daughter's first birthday cakes. I will never have another cake in my life besides a Shannon Bond cake! She is extremely creative and every flavor we have tried is our new favorite. You just can't go wrong with anything on her menu!

The best decision we made for our wedding was choosing Shannon Bond to make our cake! We had some mishaps the day of our wedding and Shannon went out of her way to run errand for the florist and help set up tables when our coordinator went into premature labor. We can not say enough good things about Shannon and her husband, they were so kind and willing to help make our day possible. Not to mention the cake was amazing in every way! One word - fabulous! That's it - fabulous cake, fabulous design, fabulous person. We loved working with Shannon for both our engagement cake and wedding cakes. We had her pumpkin cake with vanilla buttercream for our fall engagement party last year and chose her blueberry cake with lemon buttercream and chocolate cake with strawberry buttercream for our wedding cakes. She tool the vision that was locked in my head and knocked it out of the park with our cake, it was everything I hoped for and more! We fell in love with Shannon the first time we met her and knew she was the one to create our wedding cake! Sh'e welcomed us into her home, very warm and inviting, professional and extremely talented. I'm not really a cake person, or at least I didn't think I was until I tried her cake samples! It was difficult to choose our flavors but went with vanilla cake with salted caramel buttercream and chocolate cake with vanilla buttercream. We are so happy with our decision - it was beautiful and delicious!

From the moment I came across Shannon’s designs online, I was blown away by her design aesthetic and originality! We scheduled a tasting and were blown away by how delicious the cake was. I had an idea in my mind about what kind of cake I wanted, but I really let her take the reins on the overall design, and it turned out beautifully. Our guest numbers fluctuated in the weeks leading up to the wedding, and she quickly adjusted the numbers and met our needs! Everyone kept commenting on how it was the best cake they’d ever had, and it looked beautiful in the center of our venue. She was wonderful to work with, and I was amazed we had any left over!

I was looking for a cake baker that would create a modern and elegant cake for our wedding. I came across Shannon Bond and really loved her cakes. My now husband and I scheduled a tasting with her, and she was such a pleasure! She has a great selection of cake and frosting flavors to mix and match, and she does some very creative design work! She sketched out our cake for us at the tasting and when wedding day arrived, it was even more beautiful than we were expecting. Also of importance, it was extremely delicious! We had more servings than guests, and almost the entire cake was devoured by the end of the night! I really love that she pre-boxes up your anniversary tier as well. That way you don't need to worry about saving the top tier. Our guests were so impressed with how beautiful the cake was. Shannon is great to work with and she is a true expert and sugar artist! I was looking for a wedding cake that our guests would actually enjoy eating. Shannon's style was beyond elegant, but I wondered if the taste would back it up, and boy did it. Here's how we rate our experience: Professionalism: She was amazing to work with, patient, guiding, and was always motivated to get us what we actually need rather than up sell like others tried to. Taste: Probably the best I've had, better yet, we got tons of compliments from guests, even my super picky mother in law loved it ;) Delivery: Cake was delivered without a hitch, on time and my planner even complimented, she was impressed. Design: Our cake could have been in a magazine, it was stunning and it was so perfectly done that we had to get up close to be sure it was real. Step away Pinterest, Shannon showed you some tricks, haha. overall, it was such a good value, not cheap, but every dollar was beyond well spent in quality. We will have our memories and amazing pictures to always remind us, but who would ever forget this. We recommended Shannon to all who have asked, and as we start a family will be coming back for birthday cakes and any other event we have. Can’t say enough about this business and the lovely owner. All my initial and follow up questions and concerns were addressed and resolved to my complete satisfaction. My cake design was one of a kind and the taste was absolutely magical! I felt very special working with the baker. What a fantastic experience to take away as a customer! What more can you ask?! I'm a huge fan of everyting rustic but not yee-haw rustic and really wanted a naked cake. A few other vendors I talked with discouraged the idea and didn't really seem to understand my vision for my reception. I saw that Shannon had several naked cakes on her website, I loved the way they still looked so elegant and chic and knew she was the one to make my cake! We loved the fact that we got to have multiple flavors and the naked cake design was exactly like I had pictured. The cake was absolutely gorgeous and almost too pretty to eat. I loved the sugar flowers and berries wreath that Shannon hand made to perfectly accent the design as well! It was definitely "rustic chic" as she called it, she was able to take what was in my head and translate it perfectly!

Awesome! Our guests raved about the cake even asking if it was real because it was just that perfect! Shannon was great to work with and communication was always so fast! We wanted a cake that would be a centerpiece and not like every other cake we had seen and she did just that. She designed a cake especially for us, using my dress and part of the inspiration. The cake was delicious, I only wish I would have ordered more so that we would have had leftovers! You will love your Shannon Bond cake!

We were very pleased with our beautiful wedding cake! It was definitely a work of art. Our guests kept asking if it was fake because of how beautiful and perfect it looked!! Shannon really listened to our requests and made it happen. She was very easy to work with and responded very quickly when we had questions. The only reason I gave her 4 stars is because one of the flavors was not what I expected and I was a little disappointed in that one, but overall a perfect cake!! Your guests will rave about how great her cakes taste!

This woman is a saint!!! After my cake baker canceled on me six days before the wedding, Shannon and her team so graciously accepted to do our cake last minute. And it was BEAUTIFUL!! We asked for a marble looking cake and we actually had people ask us if it was even real because it looked like stone! And it tasted amazing! Highly, highly recommend.

Shannon was really creative and looking at her website instantly made us fall in love with her work. She drew us some gorgeous suggestions and we are so glad with the final result as it was really stunning and tasted amazing. I wanted to surprise the groom with a groom cake and sent over a picture of a 2D cake that I loved. She made it into the most amazing 3D cake that the groom didn’t realise at first it was a cake. I am so glad we chose her, she was really great with communication even with a 6 hour time difference and we would recommend her to anyone looking to be amazed with their wedding cake. We cant wait to have the anniversary cake which might not last long without being eaten.

We met with Shannon for a tasting and showed her a few details we would like for our cake. We knew at that meeting, we wanted her to make our cake. It was hard choosing which flavor we wanted to go with because they were all so good. We finally settled on strawberry cake with lemon buttercream and buttermilk cake with salted caramel buttercream. We were very happy with how our cakes turned out, the wedding cake was gorgeous and the groom's cake was fun and perfectly fit my husband's personality. Shannon did a wonderful job of creating both cakes and we recommend her to all of our engaged friends and family for their wedding cakes.

Wonderful, delicious and stunning! Shannon created a beautiful centerpiece for our wedding reception that was equally as delicious! Shannon is AMAZING! We got married on June 18th and Shannon made our stunning wedding cake. From the very moment we sat down for cake tasting we were sold. The cake is absolutely delicious!! Shannon is professional, timely and has a heart of gold. Our wedding cake was a piece of art and the focal point of our reception. Her cakes are just unbelievable and I am so thankful she made our cake. A million thanks go out to Shannon!

Hands down the best cake creator and designer I have ever seen! She has done cakes for my kids and my nephews and I have been wow'd every time I see and taste a new creation. Not only do her cakes look incredible, but they taste even more amazing. Shannon has such a creative talent and pours her heart into her work and it shows. She is your best choice!!

Perfection! I am so thrilled with our wedding cake made by Shannon Bond Cake Design! It was gorgeous, delicious and even more than I hoped! Shannon Is great to work with, I didn't really know exactly what I wanted and she was able to take the very few ideas I had and turn them into a beautiful cake! It was the showpiece of our reception and I cannot wait to eat another piece on our anniversary!
