I found Shannon through a coworker of mine and knew before I was even engaged that I HAD to have her capture the memories of our inevitable union. Within 5 minutes of a phone inter...
view, and what seemed as though I was connecting with a long lost friend, I booked Shannon for our engagement photos & secured her for our destination wedding.
We had our engagement shoot in Las Cruces, NM where Shannon (& her team) made me instantly feel so effortlessly beautiful and carefree as though I was getting ready with friends (one of Shannon’s various assistant’s & MUA) but what is most important to note is that my husband isn’t the largest fan of having photos taken, so I was prepared for it to be a bit tense but not with Shannon and this crew! We both had an absolute blast and loved the company so much that we wanted to finish the day off with dinner before we went our separate ways.
The dedication and vision Shannon has is truly nothing short of a godsend. We hiked up mountains, froze our feet off in the White Sands National Monument, and spent what seems like ALL day shooting and hearing “one more” an infinite amount of times as she fired off pictures simply because she is so passionate about her work and wanted to get it just right for us. Once we saw our sneak peek, I knew having Shannon as our photographer for our wedding in Puerto Vallarta, Mexico was quite literally the best decision I made as a bride to be.
Thinking back to our wedding I can’t help but shed some happy tears thinking about how impactful Shannon is…yes, her talent shines through her spectacular images, but she is one of the most comforting, easygoing, and reassuring people to be around. I am so grateful to have had her not only in my corner, but in my husband’s throughout the best day of our lives. She is so good that you manage to have fun with her and be present for photos but you’re not distracted by a camera right in your face! Shannon was able to catch moments I can’t even recall seeing her shooting- in hindsight, it just felt like she was apart of the party and it was just a major plus to have her there to capture it all. That. Easy.
Shannon is the type of person that is surrounded by equally amazing people because they just flock to her- I had to mention this because I was nervous that her assistant from our engagement shoot wasn’t going to be the same for our wedding seeing that they all made my husband feel so comfortable and having that energy is just so important when you’re being vulnerable in front of new people. Shannon’s sister came to Mexico as her assistant and it was absolutely everything to have them both there, it honestly felt like they were part of the bridal party from the beginning of the trip! In fact, we invited them to dinner with us the first night with only our bridal party present. All this to say she not only is personable, but she knows her people and pays attention to you and would know who would mesh with your personality.
I can’t wait to see what comes of her future endeavors and always look to see what she’s capturing next! Somehow, none of the couple sessions are the same and I find it so unbelievably magical for her to tell your story with such individuality in that sense. I without a doubt 1000/10 recommend Shannon Cain Photography, and whoever she brings along, to take “one more” picture for you to cherish for a lifetime.
Two words: HIRE. HER.
Before I ever even got engaged, I kept seeing Shannon’s raw and absolutely authentic, timeless photos and knew I wanted her to photograph my wedding some day...
. After getting engaged, she was the first person I reached out to and I just knew it was going to work out after our very first phone call.
Shannon is the most down to earth, charismatic, and talented photographer and person I’ve ever met. We clicked from day one which made our entire experience a breeze, from the adventure sessions, to bridals, to the day of the wedding. She makes you feel beautiful, comfortable and relaxed all while taking emotional, award-winning photos.
It’s an understatement when I say we loved having Shannon around for every step of our wedding adventures and events. She became a part of the family during our short time together and truly gave us the greatest pictures that I will cherish forever. You’re not just hiring a photographer with Shannon. You’re hiring a best friend, your biggest supporter and advocate, and the greatest “memory capturer” of all time. (I hate how corny that sounds, but it’s so true).
Hire. Her.
My husband and I can’t emphasize enough how much we love her work and our overall wedding experience with Shannon Cain. We HIGHLY, I mean 11/10 recommend her for any photo needs. T...
hey turn out authentic, beautiful, unique, and timeless. She works extremely hard and truly goes above and beyond for her clients, whether it’s capturing a beautiful moment and/or being a calm leading presence on your wedding day. Side note: An added bonus about Shannon, beyond her raw natural photography talent, was that she was amazing with our timeline and guiding us through the day – we booked day of coordinators but felt like it was Shannon who was keeping everything on track.
Anyways, I was obsessed with making sure to get the right photographer for our wedding day. I probably stalked way too many social media pages and directly spoke with countless photographers. After my initial phone call with Shannon, I just knew I did not have to look any further. Even if you have a destination wedding, bring her with you – it will be well worth it! Shannon asks and really listens to what YOU want. She focuses on capturing moments instead of poses. Her creativity is out of this world, and she will do just about anything to get the perfect shot. For example, I still smile thinking about her lying on the ground, yep in some Texas dirt, to capture our gorgeous sunset photos. Talk about commitment! We wanted an intimate wedding and Shannon felt just like family. She totally made us both feel comfortable as her camera clicked on all day. She was able to capture intimate moments in the most natural way. A videographer was not in our budget, but through her pictures we not only saw but felt and can now relive the emotions from our magical day.
Book her now. I promise she will exceed expectations and you won’t be disappointed. Words can't fully express our gratitude to Shannon for capturing our perfect day. <3 Currently, trying to find another excuse to book her again soon :)
Where do I even begin to explain how amazing Shannon is. Apart from being an amazing photographer, she has the biggest heart and an amazing personality. When I began looking for my...
wedding photographer, I searched everywhere and was captured by Shannon's photography, her eye for detail, and how amazing she was at working with color and light!
I did a phone consultation with Shannon first, and just knew after that phone call, that no other photographer would compare. My now husband and I met Shannon at a coffee shop, and we both left that meeting knowing for a fact that she was going to be the one. We all clicked together so well and we felt an instant connection.
We were one of the not so lucky couples who had to postpone their wedding due to Covid. Shannon was so understanding and helped me in so many ways. She was one of my vendors that I was not going to give up, so I made sure to pick a new wedding date that she was available. She checked in on us just to see how we were doing and to see if she could help us in anyway. She treats her clients like family and makes you feel as if you are the only bride she is working with.
I cannot express how much we loved all of our photos, from our engagements photos, to my bridal portraits, and our wedding photos. They are stunning and beautiful and I know I would never have gotten that from anyone else. After our wedding, we got so many complements, not only on our photos, but also on how amazing and fun Shannon is. We are so blessed and happy to have gotten the chance to work with Shannon. I cannot wait to be able to work with her again for all of my future portraits I will need. If you are looking for a photographer, she is your girl.
I'll start with the fact that Shannon is THE BEST - my husband and I could not have asked for anyone better to shoot our big day! We absolutely loved Shannon from our first meeting...
, and the positive energy and passion continued from there, she truly LOVES what she does. She captured the wedding photos of my dreams, and she is such a fun, energetic, and loving spirit on your wedding day - she just feels like one of your girls :)
Shannon gives great direction and makes everyone feel at ease when shooting. My husband hates taking pictures, but he was totally comfortable, and had fun taking photos on our wedding day. Although some of my husband's family only speak Spanish, she was able to work with us and them and get our family photos done quickly and efficiently.
If I got to do my wedding day all over again, Shannon would definitely be the only person I would want to capture the big day <3 I still have friends and family raving about our wedding photos, almost two years later!!
Shannon is absolutely amazing! She not only captures the most breath taking images, but each photo gives an emotion. Not only the emotion of the moment captured, but as the viewe...
r you can feel a physical, emotional response in a way that is indescribable. She is filled with such joy and warmth; her presence makes you feel as if she was always a part of your day and your journey. As your love and life continue to blossom and grow; you will want her to continue to grow with you and capture each step!
Shannon is the absolute BEST!!! I cannot say enough about her photography- but her professionalism and personality is an absolute joy to be around. She made our wedding day incredi...
ble-- despite a few other hiccups (lol). I got my photos within a week of our wedding and still haven't had time to go through all of them. We have 3 littles and wanted to make sure they were a part of everything without it being hectic- and she made sure to capture every little moment for us. It is amazing to me how she can capture every part of our story with a camera. She catches those things you don't want to miss (or forget). Her work is priceless & we couldn't be happier with our experience working with her.
Shannon is the real deal! She is extremely talented and so creative (I mean, check out her work, it speaks for itself). She managed through shooting at multiple locations for my we...
dding (Hotel, church and reception venue ) without skipping a beat. She knows exactly what will look flattering and will capture the moment! She’s sooooo good at what she does !
Where do I even begin?
From the day we met Shannon, we had no doubt she was going to be the one to capture the most beautiful images of our wedding! She came to the initial meetin...
g so prepared and left us feeling impressed and confident in our decision.
The story that I feel needs to be told to show how dedicated she is to our clients is our first engagement shoot. We were shooting outdoor in the hills of Austin (Mt Bonnell)... there was a chance of rain, but the forecast was changing by the hour so we were keeping in touch all day. Chance of rain was around 30% so she said let's do it and she would bring cute umbrellas in case it started to sprinkle.
Fast forward a few hours and it turned into a full on monsoon mid-engagement shoot. She kept shooting, kept a positive attitude and got us a few pretty awesome rain pictures. given the circumstances, she ended up letting us do another engagement shoot where we were blessed with clear weather and the pictures were amazing.
Our wedding day experience was no different! Shannon was on time, friendly to everyone but stern enough to keep us moving and on schedule! The end result pictures are stunning. I could not ask for better pictures! She was easily our best vendor from start to finish and I would recommend her to anyone getting married in the New Braunels/Austin area!
Of all my wedding vendors, Shannon was by far my favorite. She did my engagement photos, bridal portraits, boudoir photos, and was with us for over 10 hours on the day of the weddi...
ng. She was not only our photographer, but became a friend in the process. She makes you feel like you are her best friend, and no matter who you are, I am convinced she can make you feel like an absolute goddess of a woman when you are in front of her camera. I came to trust her closely over the 8 months that we worked together, and I am forever her biggest fan. She creates the most beautiful photos, and had them sent to us within a week or two of each session. She sent us over 2,000 edited photos from our wedding day, and captured photos that I will forever cherish. She goes above and beyond for her clients, and is an absolute #momboss. She created a lifetime client with us, and we look forward to working with her whenever we get the chance.
Shannon seriously made our day! First of all, she is incredibly sweet and cute and her excitement is contagious. It is apparent that she loves what she does and I felt like she gen...
uinely cared about us and capturing the moments that are important on your wedding day! I mean she even pushed for things that I didn't think I cared about and am so thankful she captured those moments now looking back. She arrived early (at a tough location to find) and immediately hit the ground running! We were a bit behind on our timeline and she helped keep us moving (or at least updated on what we had planned to do by certain times) without being pushy. Lastly, she had a great eye for poses and cool spots to take photos. We were so lucky to have found Shannon and she will definitely be our photographer for life!
