Hi! I'm Shannon, a Charleston, South Carolina based wedding and portrait photographer. I ended up in Charleston while attending the College of Charleston. While at the College, I stumbled into photography classes, which led me to an art minor based in photography. Right out of college, I decided to move to New York City on a whim with my then-boyfriend, now husband, Jake. While in New York, I got started in the wedding world with my job as photo coordinator at The Knot. Although we loved city living, we knew we wanted a little more open space and wanted to get back to Charleston. Amazing!! Shannon was so incredibly kind to work with and her team was just as amazing. We are so in love with our pictures, these are photos we will cherish forever! Shannon helped two very camera shy people feel more than comfortable taking pictures and made it so enjoyable. These are truly the wedding photos I always dreamed of!

We are so pleased with our decision to use Shannon as our wedding photographer. When we were talking through photographer options with our planner, we explained that we wanted someone that was easy to be around (we aren't super comfortable with photo sessions!), focused on candid shots, and didn't way over expose their photographs (we know that's a look - it just wasn't our look). Shannon was the perfect match for us. Her photography is beautiful and she is very comfortable to be around. She is calm but unafraid to give clear direction which was helpful for us for our engagement session, day-of portraits and family shots. I highly recommend hiring Shannon as your wedding photographer!

Shannon is the best and I can’t recommend her enough! She was so great to work with throughout the entire wedding process from booking, to the actual wedding, and then delivering our photos. She is beyond nice and so professional and has a great eye for detail. My husband and I had already been engaged for a bit when we booked Shannon so we weren’t planning on doing the “engagement session” but I’m so glad we listened to Shannon and did it. It was great to get to know her before the wedding and the photos came out great. Our actual wedding photos came out AMAZING! Shannon made sure all of the details were perfect including making sure to remind me to fix my hair perfectly for photos. She captured all of the moments from our ceremony and reception, but was so professional you didn’t even notice she was there. I loved the mix of color and black and white photos. Everyone that has seen our photos absolutely loves them and she even sent us a cute little package with prints after the wedding! If you’re thinking about booking Shannon, do it!

Shannon is incredible! She is amazing to work with, so nice and makes you feel so comfortable. Shannon knows amazing spots to take engagement photos and thinks of all the details on the wedding day to make sure the best shots are captured. We have the best memories of our special day thanks to Shannon -- we cannot recommend her enough if you are getting married in Charleston!

We loved working with Shannon and highly recommend her! Our wedding day was very rainy and Shannon was such a positive person to work with and she was more happy to walk through the pouring rain to get all the images we wanted. I can’t say enough good things about her. In addition to her talent and eye for lighting, she’s professional, experienced, organized, calm and just the type of person you want on your wedding team. The final images were well organized, great quality and so detailed for us to look back through to remember everything about our wedding day. Thank you Shannon!!

Shannon is the most incredible photographer I have ever seen at work. Having her photograph our wedding day was by far the best decision we made throughout our entire wedding planning. From checking in with us constantly, to checking the weather to find the perfect break in rain to sneak us outside for some photos, she did everything she possibly could to assure our day was going smooth and get the most incredible shots. Every bride needs a photographer like her!! Absolutely amazing.

My now husband and I are from Boston, but chose to get married in South Carolina, on Folly Beach. Finding the right photographer was challenging at first because we were looking for a specific style and someone willing to work within our intimate wedding day, until I found Shannon. Her personality and photography style was exactly what we were looking for. Having only communicated through email and phone calls, she completely understood our vision and the things that were important to us. We had an intimate wedding with only 16 of our closest friends and family, and Shannon captured everything and everyone perfectly, plus she's nice as pie! We are thrilled with the results, and so happy we found Shannon! xo

Loved her! Shannon is so nice and sweet and has an incredible eye for detail. Things like wrinkles in men's coats because of their cells phones, and other random pocket items were not there because she was so good about spotting them before pics were taken. We had the pleasure of having Shannon cover our engagement photos and our wedding photos and we couldn't have been more pleased. Thank you Shannon!!!

We just received our wedding photos from Shannon and I could not be happier. She captured every moment and color perfectly. She was great to work with and incredibly patient dealing with our large bridal party and even larger families! I'd highly recommend her if you're getting married in Charleston.

When I learned about Shannon's experience as a photo editor at the Knot and reviewed her beautiful portfolio, I knew she had to shoot my wedding! Shannon's combination of artistic vision and commitment to customer service proved that she was the right choice. Shannon's eye for light and location led to a collection of stunning photos. Through a mix of portraits and organic candids (especially on the dancefloor), Shannon's work captured the energy, movement, and celebratory mood of our wedding. Her customer service with a touch of Southern charm is unparalleled. She helped us plan our photos, answered all of our questions, and delivered engagement and wedding photos earlier than promised. Not only that, she sent us a Christmas ornament of our favorite photo for our first tree! I cannot recommend Shannon enough -- you will treasure her photos!

Look no further, you’ve found your photographer! Shannon is absolutely AMAZING! She did our engagement photos back in Aug 2015 and then our wedding Oct 6 2016. Our wedding was scheduled the weekend of hurricane Matthew. We ended up moving the wedding up a day and Shannon could not have been more accommodating. She was there for us when many other vendors were not. She was incredibly responsive and helped me feel completely at ease. She’s never in your face with the camera, we hardly even noticed she was there. She got some really great shots. We’ve gotten SO MANY compliments on both our engagement photos and our wedding photos! She is incredibly sweet and easy going. You can tell that she loves what she does and she knows her stuff; a true professional. I would highly recommend Shannon to every bride!

Simply put - Shannon and her husband, Jake, were phenomenal. She makes the process look so easy and professional, it's quite amazing. She and Jake get all the perfect shots without it being staged, and knows where to be and when. They are never in your face with the camera, I hardly even noticed they were there, especially during the reception - and they got some incredibly fun shots! They are very natural and sweet throughout the entire process, recognizing what a special day they are capturing for you. I would highly recommend Shannon, and if your budget allows, having her husband there as a second shooter really allows for more amazing angles on everything.

Shannon was the absolute perfect photographer for my husband and I! Her photos are timeless and soft and how she captures certain moments, lighting, etc is amazing! She is so easy to work with. She knows what photos she wants and she gets them without staging you or getting in your way. She was the best!!!

Shannon is simply THE best!! Not only is her photography absolutely stunning, but she is so incredibly sweet and easy to work with. Our engagement pictures were so beautiful that I tried to tie them into many aspects of our wedding; from the guest book, programs, etc. On our wedding day, she was flexible, calm, and energetic the entire day. When I got stressed about being behind schedule, she was calm, cool and collected and put me at ease. During our first look, it started to rain and she came prepared with two adorable umbrella's for us to use....it was amazing. Shannon even had a few sneak peek shots of us the day after our wedding day!!! I HIGHLY recommend Shannon to every bride!!

Shannon is absolutely fantastic! She is such a sweetheart and makes it so easy to pose for the camera. She is a former photo editor at The Knot as well so she really knows her stuff when it comes to weddings. We got our pictures back this week ( three weeks earlier than promised) and have had so many people telling us that they can't pick a favorite. At the price and amount of time she gives you, Shannon is absolutely out of this world!

Shannon was simply wonderful to work with! I have gotten tons and tons of complements on our pictures from our wedding. She has the greatest style of photography and was so easy to work with. She's very responsive to emails and was very quick to get our pictures edited and back to us. There wasn't a moment of our wedding that wasn't captured! We loved her so much that we went back recently to have some family portraits made :)
