Shannopin Country Club

Jacquie and the entire Shannopin team were amazing. My wedding was better than I dreamed it would be. They weren't just organized, gracious, thoughtful, and easy to work with—they were also proactive, which I greatly appreciated!!! Apparently, my wedding arch fell down (we got married on a rather windy day!) and broke, but they had it fixed before I ever even knew it happened! Also, the staff was just so so sweet and incredibly attentive to me and my guests. I felt so taken care of there and that really helped me and my husband enjoy what can be such an overwhelming day. We had our ceremony at Shannopin, and I can not recommend it enough. Not only was it so gorgeous overlooking the grounds, rolling hills, and the city skyline, but it was also so much more convenient and less stressful for us and our guests not to have to navigate between two sites. They also had so many pretty little areas around the country club that made for amazing pre-and post-ceremony photos with friends and family! The reception area was so warm, beautifully decorated, and open that I knew even if for some reason something went wrong with the flowers or decorations, the place would still feel beautiful and romantic. I also must say, the food was truly, and I am not exaggerating, the best wedding food I've ever had. Multiple wedding guests came up to me after dinner to tell me how amazing it was! Long story short, I loved my wedding, and I can't thank the wonderful people at Shannopin enough for making it better than a dream come true.

Jacquie and her team were helpful throughout the entire process and on the day of the wedding went above and beyond to make sure everything was perfect. Shoutout to Judy, one of the servers, who took care of us in regard to drinks… and moral support. She was awesome! They were helpful throughout the setup and tear down and took down the majority for us and allowed us to come back the next day to get everything. Super accommodating!!

We’re really pleased that we chose the Shannopin Country Club for our wedding. We had our ceremony at our church so I can’t speak much for the ceremony grounds, however I can say that my guests all had an amazing time during our reception. Jacquie worked hard to make our timeline work with our scheduled 2pm ceremony and made sure that everyone was served. Everyone really enjoyed the outdoor patio area and it was perfect for our cigar bar and cornhole boards.

Shannopin Country Club was the first and only venue we looked at. It exceeded all exceptions and then some. Jacquie and her staff were such a pleasure to work with. Every last detail was PERFECT! All of our guests had a wonderful time and couldn't praise the venue or food enough! It was amazing to see it all come together so beautifully on the day of- and that is all thanks to Jacquie and her staff! We would recommend this venue to anyone looking to get married!

We just had the wedding reception for our daughter and son-in-law at Shannopin on October 24, 2020. It truly couldn’t have been better! Our wedding reception plans drastically changed due to Covid. Shannopin Country Club, specifically Jacquie, was extremely accommodating with rearranging our large reception date as well as helping us coordinate a much smaller reception on the original date. We chose to have our small reception outside and the patio set up was gorgeous. I feel like Jacquie and the entire staff put as much care and attention into this 20 person event as they would have for my original 200 person event. The food was phenomenal and I heard several compliments about their wine as well. Jacquie made the whole evening run smoothly despite my ever changing timeline. She was so flexible and knew the kitchen time requirements so well that she was able to change things on the fly. We had such a wonderful time and we cannot wait to celebrate with Shannopin again next year! Shannopin is definitely a hidden gem in the North Hills!

Shannopin Country Club and wedding coordinator, Jacquie, were fabulous! Their hard work and flexibility helped us celebrate our daughter's wedding taking place during the pandemic. They helped us create a reception that followed all of the Allegheny County restrictions and requirements (limits on size, following required sanitation and distancing etc.), all while creating an environment that was relaxed and felt as a wedding reception should. Our outside reception was beautiful and overlooked the golf course, with a view of the city skyline as well! The food was excellent and the hospitality was superior. Couples who are looking for a top-notch venue that is able to be flexible should investigate Shannopin Country Club.

We recently held our wedding ceremony and reception at the Shannopin Country Club and were very pleased. Jacquie Ricketts, the event coordinator, definitely made our day run smoothly and without any hiccups. She has over 25 years experience and it definitely shows. She is calm, cool and collected and doesn't get frazzled by any mishaps. I only found out the next day that there was a problem with my cake (purchased through an outside vendor) and she handled it so professionally that I didn't even know there was a problem. I will say that she can be difficult at times to reach and respond to emails but she is a 1 woman department and does it all..some times 7 days a week. The food was delicious and the tasting was out of this world. You do only get to taste the salads, sides and main meal but they were such hardy portions. The Chef was willing to work with our appetizer selection and add something not on the menu for a fair price. The space itself had several dining room options and the outdoor patio was a great space for guests to mingle and get some fresh air on a beautiful day. The outside ceremony space allows for the cityscape in the background and is beautifully landscaped and maintained. You can go right from ceremony to reception in about 100 feet. The round of golf for 4 that was included was appreciated by husband and his buddies. We received so many compliments on the food, space, and diligent waitstaff and I would definitely recommend the venue to anyone looking for a hidden gem right outside the city.

We just celebrated our daughter's wedding reception at Shannopin Country Club and what a wonderful reception it was. Shannopin, Jacquie and Chef Nick allowed us to give our daugher the wedding of her dreams. It truly was a pleasure to work with Jacquie and Chef Nick. They were both very accomodating and the word "no" was never spoken by either of them. Our food was amazing -- we have been told the best wedding food ever -- and the room looked elegant. I feel like I have a good friend in Jacquie after working with her for a year and her wait staff is wonderful!!

Guests also enjoyed the different areas to converse during cocktail hour - some liked hanging on the patio at the outside bar - while others chilled indoors at the lounge bar. The variety of rooms at your reception will allow the guests to achieve their ultimate comfort level. The ballroom features a traditional country club charm paired with a modern vibe that will please all of your guests. The Chef at the club is truly a professional who is equipped to impress. One of the first things current members told us was how amazing the food was at Shannopin. Chef will customize and suggest a menu and work with you if you want to do something a little different. We choose the Braised Short Ribs, Tuscan Chicken, and Herb Crusted Cod for our entrees. My mouth is watering just typing the entrees. One of your favorite parts of the planning process, will be the food tasting. If your nice, Jacquie will hook you up with some amazing wine to go along with your tasting experience. Following the wedding some guests even called to tell us that it was the best piece of chicken they had ever eaten. We are totally overwhelmed at the positive feedback we have been receiving from the event. The premium bar service is unlike any wedding I have ever attended. With over 8+ wine options, 10+ beer options, top shelf liquors - your guests will have no problem finding a drink and if they are I am confident one of the bartenders will make it happen. Throughout our wedding planning process we were very focused on delivering a first-class experience to our guests. Jackie at shannopin was amazing she made everything so easy! ! The food was awesome! The staff was amazing!! I couldn't be more pleased with how my special day turned out! I'm so thankful!

From the planning to our wedding day in May, Jacquie and her staff were a phenomenal team! The Shannopin itself is a gorgeous venue with a view of the city and a lovely ballroom and patio. Food is locally sourced, delicious and competitively priced. Leading up to our day Jacquie and her staff were easy to communicate with and covered all the details of our venue and meals. On our wedding day Jacquie and her staff went above and beyond to ensure everything flowed smoothly- from last minute set ups to wrapping things up at the end of the night. Not having to worry about our venue and catering details, made our day that much more enjoyable. We can't imagine any of our guests having a better time! Thank you!!

We just had our wedding here yesterday June 3, 2017 and it was the best day of our lives together. Jacquie was so amazing and such a big help. She made sure everything went smoothly the entire night. We had so many people RAVE about the herb crusted cod entree so I highly recommend it!At night the patio was beautifully light and made a great place for pictures. We had our wedding at Shannopin in August. I am a surgical resident and I was working 80+ hour weeks when planning my wedding. Jacquie, the coordinator at Shannopin, was absolutely amazing. She went above and beyond to make sure my day was perfect. The food was good- the staff was helpful. We were very pleased overall and we'd do it the same over again. A++

A great place to have a reception. The dining space is beautiful and includes a patio space with a view of the golf course and the city in the distance. The food was excellent and the wedding coordinator Jacquie was awesome to work with. There was not one detail that we were not happy with.

We just had our wedding at Shannopin Country Club. Jacquie the Banquet Director made sure everything was done to perfection. The food, the view, the overall experience was five star quality. We had people coming up telling us this is one of the best weddings they have ever been too. Would recommend using this venue to anyone who wants a classy, beautiful wedding. Everything was perfect!!!!!except the rain of course, but that's good luck right? Jacquie and her team were fantastic! The service team was attentive and fun. The culinary team knocked it out of the park! This wasn't typical " banquet" food it was all delicious and hot and moist. Perfect! Great job team!!!!

We had our wedding at Shannopin in August, and everything was absolutely perfect! Jacquie and her staff went above and beyond to make sure our day was exactly as we envisioned. We didn't worry about anything that day because we knew we were in good hands, Jacquie does an amazing job and is on top of everything. When we walked into the ballroom for our introduction, we were blown away by how beautiful it looked (especially the mantle). The food was delicious, our guests continue to rave about it- we frequently hear it was the best food they've eaten at a wedding. Shannopin also offers an incredible view of the Pittsburgh skyline, which served as the perfect backdrop to our outdoor wedding.
