Since 2015, Makayla has honed and perfected her skills, gaining invaluable experience in the makeup industry. Whether your ideal look is a natural glow or a glamorous makeover, Makayla will work with you to bring your vision to life. From the Artist Hi! I'm Makayla Sharkey of Sharkey Artistry. I started doing makeup about eight years ago, beginning in experimenting with SFX makeup in my bedroom, then theater makeup during high school before being hired by Powder Room Beauty Bar my senior year. I was with them until their close in 2019, when I decided to open Sharkey Artistry. I provide a natural makeup look perfect for photos that's rooted in the science behind makeup. My promise as an artist is to provide three things: accessibility, comfort, and peace of mind. I have sensory issues, so I don't wear makeup every day; when I do, I make sure it isn't distracting me from enjoying a good time! I also have very sensitive skin, so you can trust that every product has been vetted by me and passes the irritation test. Your face cocktail will also be sweatproof, tearproof, waterproof, and extremely long-lasting. With Sharkey Artistry, you get to start your wedding day with pampering and end it without ever worrying if your face is still intact because you have enough to worry about on your big day. Our Scholarship Program ALL TIPS go to clients who may otherwise be unable to afford makeup services for their wedding or special event. Scholarships are available to anyone with an EBT card (and one other person per card) or students who receive Cal Grant A or B. Ask me about it if you'd like to apply!
