My family has always cherished photos, so I placed a lot of importance on hiring an ace-level photographer for our wedding. And the first time I came across Shaun’s photos online I literally gasped out loud by his stunning work. He truly captured the couples’ and guests’ emotions—and he did the same for ours. Shaun and his partner Annie, of course, took the pre-planned photos we had asked for, but the joy was in the unstaged moments they captured. The photos of our mothers hugging with tears in their eyes, of my grandma dancing and whooping with my friends at the reception, of my now-husband kissing my forehead during our first dance…. they captured moments and emotions we didn’t see or realize were happening that day the first time around, and their work is priceless to us. They put our families at ease with their humor and professionalism, and it was fun to watch them come up with creative ways to capture moments, but it never felt intrusive. Shaun and Annie also completed our photo editing in a fraction of the time that was agreed to in the contract, and sweetened the (short) waiting period with a handful of sneak-peek photos, as well as a 10 minute video slideshow of some of the best photos set to music. It was a lovely way to share memories of the day with friends and family who couldn’t make it and wanted to feel a part of the event. We would recommend them to anyone.

We worked with Shaun to do a family photo shoot in La Jolla/San Diego last week. From the time we reached out to him initially to the completion of the photo shoot, Shaun was very professional and personable. He was also very accommodating. Finally, the photos turned out incredible. We would definitely work with Shaun again and would highly recommend him for any photo shoot!

Thank God we went with Shaun! He is extremely professional, yet easy going. Based on his other reviews I felt like our pictures would come out great, but I needed someone who I felt comfortable with. Posing for pictures is always awkward for me, but Shaun somehow managed to make it a fun experience. He was patient, took the time to get to know us and what we wanted, and was always responsive. Our wedding pictures came out beautiful, and all our guests have also commented on how much they love the pictures as well.

Shaun is the best of both worlds- he’s extremely professional and he’s also willing to cut loose during shoots. He’s got a great eye for using creative angles in his photos, and he incorporates the beautiful landscapes of wedding venues. He’s got a natural gift for photography. He’s incredibly talented and he comes highly recommended!!

Shaun has quite the eye and can get my entire family to look fantastic in photos; there is a reason why I have hired him for family, engagement and wedding photography throughout the last 2 years. He will get the shot and that may mean climbing up a wall or telling you to stand somewhere while you ask yourself "huh, this is just a wall" BUT when you see the actual shot its' EPIC #lightingandangles. In addition he can pick up what vibe you want your photos to be and doesn't mind posing you or letting you do your own thing. Shaun is also the most wonderful person to work with and always brings great ideas to the table with a smile and humor. He can lead the circus known as your wedding with ease and capture every moment. Lastly lets talk about the quality of photos that you will receive. All of my photos have been printed and on various mediums and look magazine quality; not grit or blur. My husband and I had the pleasure of working with Shaun and the assistant photographer for our wedding this past May and we could not have been more pleased with their services! Shaun feels like a close friend now and I felt that he truly related to us as a couple right from the get-go. We worked with Shaun for our May wedding in the beautiful San Diego. My fiancé and I were planning the wedding from different states so we never met Shaun prior to the wedding. After our first phone conversation with Shaun we knew we wanted to hire him for our wedding. He is funny, highly energetic, and very artistic. We loved working with him because he had a clear vision and was not afraid to go out of the way to get the right shots. He uploaded a few of our photos to his Instagram and everything looked PERFECT. We had first heard about Shaun through my sister-in-law’s wedding a few years ago. The work he did for her was amazing and we wanted to have him do our engagement and wedding photographs as well. From the very beginning, Shaun was wonderful to work with and we were blown away by the quality of work we were given. His love for his work really shows in the final product and we couldn’t have asked for anything more. We and all our guest loved working with Shaun. We haven't even gotten the official photos back but from what Shaun has teased out so far, we are so excited to see what he and his partner Mallory have gotten. They were both so easy and fun to work with and are the nicest people. WOW. Shaun is such a professional. He worked so hard to capture so many moments that day - it felt like he was everywhere all the time! Truly, I don't think you understand how much a good photographer has to hustle around and be ON for an entire event - and he did just that. We told him repeatedly how impressed we were with how he handled a very challenging job. Not only were his pictures amazing, but he also did such a great job making us feel comfortable and relaxed on what could have been very overwhelming day. After the wedding my husband and I were discussing how everything went, all our vendor choices, etc, and we both agreed that Shaun was the best decision we made. We got married in a friend's backyard along the coast in San Diego. Our ceremony looked out over the ocean and started at 3:00pm - beautiful setting yes, but very difficult lighting for a photographer. He was able to capture some of the most gorgeous, real photos we've ever seen, even given the challenging light. Later in the night we went down to the beach and he took one-of-a-kind photos of us at sunset. My draw literally dropped when I saw these photos. He is so creative! And if that wasn't enough already, he somehow captured hundreds of epic moments on the dance floor with the most beautiful use of the lighting. Something we love about Shaun's photography style is that he made a great effort to capture reactions/expressions/real emotions. When we initially saw the story he told through his photos (and it really is a story he tells), we both got emotional. If felt like we were re-living all the best moments from the night. You will not regret picking Shaun for your wedding; he is a real artist who works unbelievably hard at his craft.

Shaun’s work is absolute perfection. I just love his style and his focus on capturing the in between moments. I cried seeing all the beautiful moments both Shaun and his assistant photographer Mallory were able to capture. Shaun was also great at herding my 24+ person wedding party which was a huge stress relief for me and my groom. I cannot recommend him enough. I would pick Shaun as my wedding photographer a million times over.

Shaun is not only a fabulous photographer, but he is personable and really times time to get to you know you as a couple. From the time we inquired about him being our photographer, he began asking us questions about our love story, our ideal wedding, and what we hoped to have in our photos. He is skillful at capturing the most intimate and heartfelt moments while at the same time really allowing the couple, family, and friend's personalities shine through the images. He ensures that the bride and groom have limited stress the day of the event and works closely with a point person to ensure the day goes as smoothly as possible. I would be sure to have an idea of what photos you definitely want captured and work with him on coordinating this. I do wish I had more photos of the bride and groom and more photos of our decorations and with our guests however, I know time passed by super fast. I would recommend Shaun in a heartbeat! His prices are competitive, he is willing to travel, he has an eye for capturing beauty, he responsive, and ensures he gets your photos to you in a timely matter! He has no limits on the amounts of photos and he works really hard with ensuring the couple are satisfied. I plan on hiring him again for our anniversary or family photos. Shaun was SO AMAZING. He was first referred to my from a mutual friend for my wedding and was great at working with me on my budget. He responds quickly and is very accommodating - as we had to change our date a few times as long as he was still available it worked for him. We are very lax and he worked great with it, helped smooth out details and stayed in touch every single step of the way. On the big day he was INCREDIBLE. Getting amazing shots and using up every inch of his time with us to make sure he captured the best moments. We received our photos in great time and OMG they're AMAZING. I recently lost 92 lbs for the wedding and he did the best job of capturing perfect angles and emotions. EVERYONE was talking about how great he was and I refer him literally for ANYTHING to do with photography, we wish we could give him 10 stars!

Shaun is hands down the best photographer you could have on your wedding day. From the initial call with him you can tell what passion and love he has for what he does and it definitely shows in his work. He captures the raw emotions you want to look back on 30 years from your wedding and feel all over again. A true artist. He took the most amazing shots of our big day. We sill cannot believe how much we love our photographs. We knew we wanted to hire a photographer who was a little more edgy and artistic and was willing to take pictures other than the standard wedding poses and angles. Shaun is all of those things, but also knows how to correctly shoot the shots necessary to truly capture a wedding. We got all the photos we wanted and needed and he also managed to get these unique and beautiful shots that most wedding photographers wouldn’t dare to try. His assistant Mallory was a dream come true as well and got fantastic shots from her camera. The two of them captured the joy of the day and produced images that really make you feel all the emotions all over again, quite intensely actually. We would say that Shaun is not your average photographer who will stay quiet and only do what you ask him. He has opinions based on all the experience he has and isn’t afraid to tell them to you. You just need to put your trust and him and know that he knows what he’s talking about. Another thing to note is how quickly you get your shots back. He works really hard to get them back to you asap, much quicker than average. Needless to say, a great photographer who really cares about his work and takes it very seriously. You would be lucky to have him shoot your wedding!

We had a great time working with Shaun and Mallory at our wedding. I first became aware of Shaun's talent when he was working in New York City. It only took one visit to his website to know I had found my future photographer. Over the next few years I would visit his website just to see how beautiful his work was. When it was time to book vendors, Shaun was my first call. Shaun was amazing, extremely flexible, and had no problem traveling to do our wedding. When we sat down with Shaun I felt an immediate calmness, he was professional but still exhibited a great sense of humor and charm. The day of our wedding, Shaun met up with my wife early in the morning and followed her around. One of the things the caught my eye with Shaun's work was his ability to capture the little moments that no other photographer even thinks of. The rest of the wedding went perfectly. You don't even know he is there taking pictures, he just knows when to photograph while you're busy enjoying the moment. Everyone loved him, from the staff, our families and friends, and of course, my beautiful bride and I. Shortly after we returned from our honeymoon, Shaun sent a preview slide-show over music which brought tears to our eyes. The photographs were just a sample of the work, but was breathtaking. Not too long after that, we received our pictures and we were speechless. For all the years I viewed Shaun's work and always dreamed of one day it would be my bride and I in them and to finally see us in the pictures, it's very surreal. I hired Shaun to photograph my bachelorette party. He did an AMAZING job. I had the pleasure of working with Shaun & Mallory at a wedding in Puerto Vallarta, Mexico this past weekend and they were awesome to work with. I think it's important for brides to have a photographer who really cares about the details, and who can provide an artistic product. Shaun has the eye for this and you can tell he cares about each and every detail. He gave me a preview of the images today and what I've seen so far is amazing! From a wedding planner's perspective he was super easy to work with and this also is important and something bride's wouldn't think of, but having all of the vendors jive and be on the same page all day allows for a seamless event. My husband, Taylor, and I got married in November and we used Shaun for not only our wedding, but also our engagement photos. He was simply the best! He knows how to capture a moment! I had so many comments from my guests of how impressed they were with him! I was blown away about how fast he got our photos back to us as well as the quality he provided. I would recommend him to anyone in need of a photographer. We will be using him for any further photography needs in the future with out a doubt!

Shaun is amazing. We love our photos. He should really charge more for his work. When my husband and I were shopping for photographers, we suffered from expensive taste. Everytime we came across a portfolio we liked, the photographer was out of our price range. Luckily we found Shaun. We had an instant connection upon meeting and he was well within our budget. His bright personality, go getter attitude, and true professionalism were exactly what we were looking for. We had around 250 guests and initially believed we would need 2 photographers. Shaun convinced us that he could handle it alone. It saved us around $500 or more, which is the starting cost for a 2nd shooter in the San Diego market. Between him and our videographer, we felt we had excellent coverage. Shaun goes above and beyond to deliver quality work. He arrives early and stays as long as it takes to get the shots he needs. He can be pushy, but I hear a lot of photographers are. My brother in law got pushed around a lot while the guys were getting ready and he made my makeup artist move her entire setup to a better location before starting on my makeup. During the chaos of wedding day, my husband and I made a last minute change to our photo plans and Shaun was understanding and went with it. We had him shoot during our meet and greet style receiving line (we wanted to get a photo with each of our guests) and he courteously handled interruptions from guests trying to take photos on their own phones and cameras. Shaun's style is the perfect mix of photojournalistic and artistic. We chose Shaun because we wanted to focus on capturing moments and not a lot of posed portraits. Our album included a mix of color and black and white photography, which we love. We asked Shaun to shoot some special headshots so we could have them printed as giant cardboard heads. He met us up, shot a couple dozen photos, and edited our favorites for a nominal fee. We used the heads everywhere the week of the wedding and our guests loved it. Shaun also shot our tea ceremony the day before the wedding. He did awesome. At one point, he charmed our crying and fussy nieces so we could get a family photo. Before leaving, he checked in with us to go over timeline and plans for the wedding, which was the next day. Within days after our wedding, we received a sneak peek slideshow and within a week of that, we received all our photos. Unbelievable. Most photographers take months to deliver photos. I could tell Shaun had carefully selected the best photos and eliminated redundant photos when possible. If there were two similar photos, there was a reason: someone looks better in photo A, a different person looks better in photo B, etc. A photographer easily shoots thousands of photos for a wedding, you don't want to sift through an excess of mediocre photos, you want the best. Shaun gave us that. We love Shaun's work and will treasure these photos for years to come. Shaun is wonderful and I am confident he will be just as wonderful for your wedding. Book him before someone else does!

There really aren't words to describe how thrilled we've been with Shaun, but I'm going to try! We found him online after looking through local photographers for MONTHS. I just have a headshot photography business on the side, but I was still extremely picky about who we would choose. To me, this was the most crucial wedding vendor to find. I wanted someone who could give us different styles and take beautiful shots that looked like works of art, as well as the standard posed photos. And I wanted someone who was reasonably priced. Shaun was everything and more! I was ready to book him immediately just based on his portfolio- holy smokes. From day 1, we talked over the phone and discussed what we were wanting and what he offered and then we met up and we loved getting to know him and hearing him talk about how passionate he is about what he does. We booked him for our engagement photos and for the wedding. Our engagement photos turned out FANTASTIC. Absolutely stunning. I feel that I tend to have a very critical eye with photos and I was obsessed with each and every one of them! I was shocked. And he was SO much fun to work with! We went to several different spots and he really captured who we are as a couple. He went above and beyond and we were so glad that we had a chance to spend some time with him so that we'd feel prepared for the wedding. For our wedding, our guests commented on how "he was like lightening" and how "he was everywhere at once". I don't know if I even saw him pause for a second. He also did a great job rounding up our family members for photos during the cocktail hour and keeping them in line (our families can get pretty rowdy so we were very impressed haha). We selected a package that included a second photographer and we so happy that we have a second shooter getting shots of the groomsmen while Shaun was with me and my bridesmaids. And we had different angles of really big moments (you may now kiss the bride!). He got the photos back to us really quickly and we sat down and went through them with tears in our eyes as we relived the happiest day of our lives. It was a perfect representation of the event and going through the photos, it really told a story. His attention to detail, creativity, professionalism, amazing energy, and dedication to his clients made us so happy that we went with Shaun Baker!

I did not have to do much searching when it came to deciding who I wanted to photograph my wedding. Shaun Baker is an amazing photographer with an amazing upbeat personality. I was blown away with his portfolio and the quality of the pictures. I have been in many weddings before and have seen photos after they came back and knew that’s not how I wanted my photos to be. The photographs I saw in Shaun’s portfolio were so vibrant and detailed. I remember first booking with Shaun and sending the link to his webpage to all of my bridesmaids so they could see how amazing his pictures were. We booked 15 months in advance and was in contact throughout with any questions or concerns I would have and he was quick to respond which was comforting. As the time got closer, and my nerves starting rising, I had a conversation with Shaun which put all of my concerns at ease. Day of was easy… Shaun was awesome. He flew out for my New York Wedding! Photographed my rehearsal dinner and was up and ready to go to photograph my wedding. I had so many complements on him and his work. He felt more like family, fit right in, and made my day fun! He seriously was taking shots from every angle. One shot, I just couldn’t get right, he kept on it until I got it right. I was ready to give up on it but he wasn’t and I’m glad he didn’t because that picture came out beautiful. I actually couldn’t believe how fast my photos came back! It came up a few times in conversation with friends/family about photos and I was able to show them and were also surprised how quick the turn around time was. Oh, and that cool Vimeo video!! When you search for photographer, you search everywhere and read so many reviews. I came across Shaun. Shaun's work exceeds your expectation~! Shaun is very kind and easy to talk to. On your wedding day, you would not notice Shaun at the ceremony or reception, but he captures pictures from angles that you would not see on regular wedding photography. Highly recommended!! His pictures look like art works. His pictures are so beautiful and I received soooooooo many compliments from other people. He captures your day so beautifuly that you will go look back to his pictures over and over. Shaun also creates beautiful picture slide show. I did not have video for the wedding, but those slide show captured the day so perfectly that I am grad I did not spend extra money for video. Since I had another wedding in Japan, we showed Shaun's slide show there on TV monitors. The quality of the photo was so great that people who were sitting on the back could see it too.

Professional, very creative and just beyond AMAZING! We found Shaun 2 months before our wedding... it wasn't our choice to wait that long to a photographer. My husband and I live in Las Vegas and our wedding took place in Coronado Island, California. Usually, the bride and the groom would want to sit down with the vendors and review contracts and see their portfolios but we didn't have this luxury. With us, everything was online and via conference calls. His online portfolio as awesome and Shaun made it easy for us. On our wedding day, he came in looking sharp with a huge smile on his face ready to snap away. As a bride who has to worry about my make up and my hair and every single detail about the wedding, there's only one thing I didn't have to worry about and it was Shaun. When my groom sent out his little special gift for me, I started getting emotional and I was getting my make-up done. I couldn't stop crying! He made me smile by telling me that my groom loved my present and that he is looking handsome and excited. It meant a lot to me. Thank you. Shaun will not come out to your event to just do business and get paid. He will come out to put his heart into it and treat it like his own wedding day and make a connection with everyone! You will see how big his heart is when you see your amazing pictures. It was clearly in our pictures. He was twisting his legs and arms to fit in a closet to take unique shots.He was laying on the floor and maybe he would have flown or float in the air if he can to get every single angle. He almost got stepped on actually but it didn't stop him. Even our guests made comments about how attentive he was. Shaun was using some of our decors to create something new with the pictures and they all came out beautiful and full of emotions. One picture I wasn't expecting to be captured was a photograph of me embracing my mother in law only showing her back with my bouquet on my right hand and the rosary I received from her last Christmas on my left hand with of course my ring. (It is better on the picture and how I wish I can share it). It is one of my many favorites. He was very professional to the extent that he was offered to have a shot with the groom and the groomsmen but he declined; politely! After the big day, he said the pictures will be ready in 2 weeks. Everyone was excited to see the pictures and that's all we were talking about. About 3 days after, Shaun sent us a montage he made as a gift for us. We were all excited and had to share it right away in social media. Everyone loved it. After another 2 days, we received our access code to his private portfolio and saw all raw and edited pictures. ALL pictures were breathtaking. ALL pictures made me feel like it was all happening again! It is perfect! I still go back to see the pictures everyday! So, to whom it may concern. Shaun Baker Photography does amazing work! I wish I had the words to describe just how amazed I am with the quality, creativity, and professionalism I experienced. My albeit high expectations were so far exceeded that I have to take a moment to thank Shaun Baker Photography! I got the images much faster than expected and was moved to tears as I watched the slideshow. Imagine a stress free wedding day where the photographer is so easy to work with and has such an incredible vision and then a couple weeks later your inbox is brimming with gorgeous photos. I was referred to Shaun Baker Photography by a photographer friend of mine. I immediately fell in love with Shuan's work. He knows how to capture stunning magazine cover worthly shots and those special moments you want to remember for years to come. We had a destination wedding and working with him from the other side of the world was easy. He was friendly, accomodating, and listened to what was important to us. He took the time to get to know us. We had a photoshoot the night before to avoid the stress of packing in all the photos the on the wedding day. He was unable to make it because of another wedding but sent a colleague of his, Mallory, and it was seamless. His team followed us around for hours making sure we got every amazing shot. I might have come back to the hotel with a little dirt on the bottom of my dress but that was my choice and oh man was it worth it. The pictures are amazing! The next day things got behind schedule and Shaun was so patient. He photographed a very large bridal party and a ton of children, captured shots of getting ready with my bridesmaids, and got some great shots of us as a couple. I only wish my wedding day could have gone on for longer because at every chance he produced beautiful images of the great fun we were having with family and friends. He then surprised us with a beautiful slide show and such a quick turn around on the images. There was no extra charge for this or limit on that. The pricing was straightforward and the end product so far exceeded our expectations. Simply put, "Just do it!" You will not regret it. The website is just a sample of the amazing work he will do. Longer and sweeter review: I am someone who likes to research things. This became quite apparent to my husband when I presented him with a excel sheet comparing my top 20 or so photographers that I had compiled after looking through hundreds found on various wedding websites and magazines. I was a budget conscious bride who wanted nothing, but the best. I do not settle on anything in life. My Husband and I ranked out our top three and found Shaun Baker to be our top choice. After arranging a meeting with Shaun, it was clear he has a true passion and exceptional talent for what he does. My husband is a military man whose best friend, besides me, is his dog. He does not enjoy being in pictures and heavily dislikes posed shots and forced emotion. Knowing all this, I did not expect much of a smile out of my husband during our engagement shoot. I could not believe how well my husband worked with Shaun. He smiled, laughed and had a good time. I was amazed that Shaun was able to connect with my husband and get him to have a good time doing the shoot. My husband could not stop talking about how much he liked Shaun. When it came to the wedding day Shaun arrived early and dressed very professionally for my block tie optional wedding. He worked with my makeup artist and other vendors very well. While going through the pictures my husband and I kept saying, “I don’t see him there!” Shaun was in the middle, but not. We never noticed him, but he caught so many great moments. We have an aerial view of our ceremony from the upper part of the church. I have no idea when or how he got there, but it is clear he as running all around the church getting a workout in while capturing the priceless moments of our ceremony. He works alone, but his hard work makes a second photographer unnecessary (and there is only one Shaun out there :)). He does not just take a picture to take a picture, but clearly waits for the right moments with all the emotion, perfect positioning and light to create an exceptional photograph. All of my friends and family keep saying how great the pictures are. I am so blessed to have had Shaun photograph my wedding. Thank you so very much Shaun. Shaun was amazing. We had a destination wedding in San Francisco on NYE. Coming from out of state (Arkansas), planning this event was rather difficult. We shopped around for photographers in the Bay Area. A friend recommended Shaun and I'm so glad she did! Shaun was great and totally affordable despite the destination aspect. Due to the holiday the ceremony was in the morning with a lunch reception to follow. Shaun was present from getting ready (at 5am!!😳) until the conclusion of the reception and I'm so glad he was there to capture every moment. He did everything necessary to capture a shot. From scaling a balcony to MacGyvering the hotel room for just the right angle. Some of my favorite images are the candid shots he grabbed while no one was looking. I really can't say enough good things about Shaun and his work. He's an easy going guy that blended into my small wedding party like he was one of the family. Shaun photographed both our engagement and wedding and he did a fantastic job! We were looking for an artsy photographer that could also take direction from us. He did a fanominal job! He was on time, professionally dressed, helpful, friendly, and stayed out of the way. He doesn't have a time limit and he worked almost 12 hours on our wedding day! He is also very fast at getting your photos back to you, we got all our wedding photos in less than a week! We couldn't believe it! He also made us a special slideshow to show our family and friends, it was so great! I highly recommend Shaun Baker Photography to any bride!

I found out about Shaun through a family friend who used him at their own wedding. Shaun was very professional, and even after a series of events that lead us to losing our original wedding venue; Shaun still agreed to be there for us. He was also very fast in getting our photos to us, they were available to us the very next weekend via an online gallery he gave us access to. And even before that made us a special preview slideshow. He really did everything he could to make our day special. His quality of photos are beautiful, so clear its as if you feel like you're there in the photo! My husband and I are very pleased with how they turned out. I will definitely keep Shaun's contact info and keep him in mind for any future events I might want photographed and I will definitely tell my family and friends about him as for any future events as well!

Aaron and I knew we wanted artistic pictures; we wanted someone who had an eye for the dramatic, for the passion of a moment and Shaun captured that and so much more! He saw each shot beyond what I believe a typical photographer would; and being a journalist and a loving photography myself, Shaun excels at his action shots (especially the ones on the dance floor). The day of our wedding, he did his own thing while us girls got ready; he took all the = groupings we requested after the ceremony, and went on a crazy adventure with the wedding party as we scoured the beach for a place to take even more photos. Throughout all of this mayhem, he remained professional, kind and above all, retained his vision which resulted in amazing photos we could later share with our family and friends. He stayed with us all day up until the last song. What a trooper! Afterward, we received our photos within a few weeks, he had edited each one, and when I had a last minute request to add passwords to the photo link, he was quick to respond and deliver--maintaining the consistent customer service we had experienced throughout the entire photography process. With the mind of a journalist, the eye of an artist, the soul of a poet, and the ease of a friend, Shaun made art for the ages of our wedding! ... Shaun came recommended to us by a friend with the words "An awesome photographer and a really cool guy". Exactly true. Shaun responded to my inquiry email within minutes on a Saturday night. We met Shaun in person and connected with him easily. He clearly loves what he does and is sincere in his connection to people he works with. We were first reluctant to do engagement photography in addition to the wedding photos, and hired Shaun just to do the wedding. But another friend convinced us it's good to work with your wedding photographer before the big day - so we contacted him and asked to do the engagement session after all, and we highly highly recommend doing one! We had so much fun with Shaun - he's not just artistic to the point of laying in the dust to capture the perfect photo, but also fun and funny, so we just had an awesome time with him. We also had to deal with a grumpy guard on the premises of a certain institution, and Shaun acted like our oldest friend as a cover, to try to snap a few photos before we got kicked out. By the end, we felt like we *were* friends! Then the photos came, within just a couple of days - WOW! Shaun, quite simply, captured the soul and joy of our togetherness, in photographs artistic and simply gorgeous. On the wedding day, the formal portraits came out beautiful, but this is not even Shaun's favorite part. Instead, he loves capturing all the details, ones you might miss - like a journalist - and capturing the emotion, the moment, exactly as it is, before, during, and after the ceremony. The "real" wedding photos for him come after the formals. The portraits of us that he did are amazing, and he captured many precious moments with all of our guests too. Shaun stayed much longer than we'd agreed on. The photos are incredible. Choosing the photographer for our wedding was one of the most important parts of the wedding process for me. I knew the style I was looking for but I was a bit worried about the high prices that I had been quoted. After turning away from a few photographers due to high prices and overbooking, I found Shaun online. I was instantly drawn to his story telling style of photography. After our first phone meeting I hung up knowing that we had found the perfect photographer for our special day! His prices were more than reasonable and he doesn't charge hourly but is prepared to tell your wedding story from start to finish. Even though we were out of state, Shaun worked with us making sure all of our questions were answered and that we felt comfortable about what we were planning to do the day of. Shaun was patient, passionate about what he was doing and went above and beyond anything we could have imagined! He also created us a slideshow and had our images back to us within 5 days!!!!! Shaun Baker is such an amazing photographer. Not only does he take amazing pictures, he is so fun to work with, he makes you feel so comfortable, and he is very organized. Shaun first came to my house where myself (the bride) and all the bridesmaids were getting ready. There he captured all the fun I was having with my girls, all the excitement, and all the emotions. Nothing was staged, he allowed us to do our thing, and the pictures we got from that were so awesome. Then off to the wedding venue we went. Shaun captured again, me and my bridesmaids all ready for the wedding, and also spending time with the groom and groomsmen. The photos he took of the ceromony where breath taking. When I look at the photos I am so full of joy because he captured what seems like every second! The reception pictures as well where perfect. Shaun caught so many amazing photos. All the photos show so much love and excitement. I couldn't be any happier with our experience with Shaun. Shaun made my husband and I so comfortable, and he knew exactly what kind of shots he wanted to take and exactly what would work! I can go on and on with how happy we are with Shaun and his work!

We used Shaun Baker photography for our big day, because he was referred through a friend of ours, and we could not have been more happy with our decision. First and foremost, you will be blown away by his kindness, low key/low stress attitude, calming presence, amd flexible nature. All of our nerves and anxieties were put to rest working with Shaun. He was by far the best to work with out of everyone we considered. His images are breath taking. His use of color, angles, and perspective capture the day flawlessly. Shaun's is the complete package when it comes to wedding photographers, and he is one of the best decisions we made for the wedding. Shaun is amazingly talented with a wonderful eye and a beautiful craft. This review is LONG overdue (many circumstances played a role in that) however I want to say that I could not be happier with my wedding photos!!! I got married on 2/26/15 and the entire day was just amazing and Shaun captured every moment of it from start to finish. From the moment I spoke to him on the phone I knew we would choose him. I fell in love with his amazing photojournalistic photography immediately, as it's what I'm drawn to, and I cannot believe that I was able to have someone with his talents photograph my wedding. His price is beyond unbelievable and he stays the whole day! I didn't think I would need that but I can assure you that I do not regret it. To be short and sweet, if you need a photographer, please please please hire Shaun!!! He is just simply creative, professional, kind, and so very artistic and talented. You will not regret it.

Shaun was a true professional. He was a pleasure to work with and made us feel comfortable throughout the entire process. He was easy to get a hold of and communicate with. Straight to the point…Shaun Baker is AMAZING! I am beyond ecstatic, impressed, and utterly in love with the photos he captured of our wedding! I came across Shaun on The Knot, and viewed his wedding portfolio on his beautifully designed website. I was instantly in love with his creativity and ability to capture incredibly sincere moments. I contacted him and we talked about some of the details of the wedding day. To be quite honest, I had no idea how all of this “booking a wedding photographer” stuff worked. Shaun did a fantastic job of spelling it out for me, he was easy to talk to and very professional. A few weeks before the wedding, Shaun touched base to go over some last minute details. We discussed the idea of a doing a “first look” session with my almost husband before the ceremony. I was hesitant, and Shaun reassured me that it was completely up to my fiancé and I, and that it really is an intimate moment between you and your soon to be husband and to consider it. He wasn’t pushy at all, and was genuinely offering his opinion. I appreciated his input, and that he never made us feel pressured. The day of the wedding, Shaun showed up at the hotel where we were all getting ready. When he arrived, he had a huge smile on his face and was ready for the day! This sounds so insignificant if your still in the planning stages of your wedding…but on the day it was HUGE! There is so much going on, and so many people stressed out, running around, asking questions, etc., that to be greeted by someone with a smiling face and a ready to go attitude, is a huge relief! Trust me. After we were all ready, Shaun had already picked a really cool part of the hotel to do the First Look. I would HIGHLY recommend the first look to any bride! It was really a very intimate moment between my almost husband and I. I can’t really explain it, but after the First Look, I felt a huge weight lift off my shoulders. I was ready, and I wasn’t worried about anything else afterward! As for the ceremony and reception, Shaun is FEARLESS. He did whatever he needed to do to get the shot he was looking for. He made sure he got pictures of EVERYTHING! There is a difference between capturing beautiful moments and being able to anticipate beautiful moments. Shaun is a MASTER of anticipating these beautiful moments, and being able to capture them perfectly! After the wedding, Shaun continued to be a joy to work with! He kept in contact with an update on the progress of the pictures. He also sent my husband and I a beautiful sneak peak video of the pictures. I was extremely impressed. The online gallery with the final pictures was available way ahead of schedule. I was amazed at how quickly he had them finished. There was A TON of pictures, all absolutely stunning. It’s been weeks since the wedding, and I still can’t stop looking at the pictures. The photos he captured were more than just sequential pictures of the night…to me his style of photography really portrayed our story. We were given a lead about Shaun Baker Photography by our neighbors and we couldn’t be more grateful. One of our largest concerns with our winter wedding was early sunset and not having enough light to take our pictures. From our first conversation with Shaun, we were completely put at ease regarding lighting and our day of timeline. The insight we received from our first discussion was priceless and we were able to schedule our engagement session right away. It was great to get to know Shaun during the engagement session, learn his style and for two people who are not too fond of being in front of a camera, become a little more comfortable and prepared for the wedding day. The day of could not have gone more smoothly. Shaun was with us from the moment we were getting ready to the moment we wrapped up the reception. In addition to getting amazing shots of my dress, jewelry and flowers he also captured many priceless moments during our reception including my brother-in-law singing The Dan Band version of Candy Shop after most of the guests had left for the night. We even had an issue with the church in regards to photos, he kept me informed of what was happening and we were able to mitigate the issue and get some great shots of a first look instead of me walking down the aisle to my now husband. Shaun was great with our friends and family as well, quick witted and rolling with the punches of my cousin/bridesmaid and all the quirky things she says as well as rogue amateur photographer Tita of my husband. We had a great time working with Shaun and recommend him to all our friends and family as well as try to use him again for any future photography needs. Shaun’s photos truly speak for themselves, they are more photo journalistic in nature documenting each and every aspect of your day. He manages to capture the very essence of the day thru the shots he captures. My favorite string of pictures was during our ceremony was where he caught my groom yawning and then smiling at me like nothing happened. I love the photos, they came in so quickly! Shaun was so great I was happy to see him bring a great personality. My guest loved him, I appreciated his enthusiasm and energy. He made the guest happy and always showed effort in getting a great picture. I requested that Shaun would shoot all the funny moments and moments of happiness that I know I would miss out on. One huge thing that I know I couldn't find in any of the other photographers at my price range, Shaun didn't limit my time. He guaranteed that I'd get photo memories of my entire wedding day. Shaun was awesome. When we first met him, we tossed around the idea of only using his services for part of the day. We asked Shaun why he would need to be there for the full day, and he said he wants to tell a full story of the day. Boy was Shaun right! Now that we have the photos you can really tell he was telling a story with his work. Shaun is really easy to work with; he is flexible but extremely responsive with just the right touch of being a perfectionist. Shaun has worked with us on every post-wedding request we've made. He sent us a few pictures he took the day after the wedding and he got all of our pictures to us within a month of the wedding. When my fiance and I met Shaun for the first time we knew he was the wedding photographer for us! He was so easy to talk to and the vision he had for our wedding images were perfectly alined to our needs. We hired Shaun for a 2-hour engagement shoot and for our ceremony/reception. Our engagement shoot reaffirmed that we hired the right person for the job. Shaun fit in all the locations we requested for the shoot (even though we went over a little on time) without making us feel rushed. The photos came out beautiful, he doesn't over-filter or Photoshop like crazy, he utilized light effects to make us "pop" instead of making things look artificial. When the time came for our "big day," we exchanged a few e-mails and phone calls with Shaun confirming our hotel for wedding prep photos and we gave him a few "must-have" shots. We refrained from giving him a huge shot list. We figured the engagement shoot went so well and he's the professional so we trusted his eye. Shaun was SO professional, he arrived to the hotel early and captured incredible shots of us getting ready. Shaun stayed for the entire ceremony and reception, no time limit! Not only did he make my husband and I feel comfortable, our family and friends raved about how friendly he was throughout the whole night. Shaun sent us all the photos (over 800!) finished and ready to order any way we'd like. My husband and I sat in front of the computer and looked at every single one in awe of how well Shaun captured our entire day. From intimate moments with family to fun dancing photos, he got every single shot we wanted without even having a shot list...I was in tears because they were so perfect! I can't say enough about how much we love Shaun and his work. We've already told him that we'll be hiring him for our anniversary shoot and any other special events we'd like him to capture!
