Shaun is a wonderful photographer! His talent is evident in his pictures in big and small ways. For example, we were not centered during our ceremony (whoops), and Shaun got creati...
ve with the angles so that you couldn't even notice! My husband only noticed because he said that he realized it as we were standing there getting married đ
Our couple photos were so beautiful. My mom actually said that she couldn't pick which to print because every one of them was fantastic. My favorite part of the album was the reception photos. I loved the candid shots Shaun was able to get that showed the love and the fun of the day! He was a fly on the wall the whole time.
Shaun was also incredibly helpful with the logistics of everything. His timeline is actually what we based the whole day around because it was so spot on. He was considerate of other vendors, and we really appreciated his guidance!
I would recommend him to everyone!
Shaun was absolutely great-so easy to work with and made my husband-who hates taking pictures-actually enjoy himself!! Our entire day was absolutely perfect and Shaun is a large pa...

ears! Shaun is not only a talented photographer, he is someone you NEED as a part of your wedding day team!! When we began the photographer search we talked to A LOT of vendors and unfortunately just didnât âclickâ with anyone. From the first minute of our first phone call with Shaun, we knew we had to have him photograph our day! Shaunâs energy, his calming nature, and his mission to ensure everyone is comfortable and having fun throughout the wedding process made working with Shaun such a breeze! Our wedding party (even the groomsmen), parents, and guests all commented on how amazing Shaun was! We truly formed a bond beyond the camera! Taking the time to meet with us and develop a relationship made such a difference - we trusted Shaun to photograph our wedding day as a vendor and as a friend! We cannot thank Shaun enough for everything!!!

If you're looking for a photographer in the VA area, don't wait--book Shaun now. My husband and I booked Shaun in 2019 for a large wedding celebration in 2020. Like many couples, w...
e weren't able to hold our celebration on our original date. We rescheduled multiple times, and Shaun worked with us at every step of the way. He was extremely flexible and rolled with all of the punches, no matter how many changes we made. When our party finally came, my husband and I were a little nervous (so much anticipation!), and we appreciated Shaun's ability to put people at ease while they're looking at the camera. We had an awesome time chatting with him, which made getting our photos taken that much more enjoyable!
We absolutely love our gallery of photos! A month after the event, I am still scrolling through them on my lunch breaks. Shaun has a great eye for shots, and he managed to capture great photos of people who don't like having their photos taken. My father, a widower, doesn't like posing for pictures, but Shaun snapped an incredible candid of him--my dad said that's the photo he would use for an online dating profile!
Don't wait, reach out to Shaun today!
Shaun is literally the best! He was so incredibly professional, helpful, and flexible during the various stages of our wedding through the pandemic. He ended up shooting our smalle...
r, intimate wedding last year and our postponed, larger wedding reception this summer. He was easy to work with and very understanding of the difficulties planning a pandemic wedding. More importantly, his photos from both celebrations were amazing and captured each day beautifully. Also, we just had so much fun shooting with him!! As a person usually behind the camera, he helped both of us feel comfortable in front of it, offering tips/tricks throughout. He captured our silly, spontaneous selves perfectly. I couldn't recommend him enough to anyone looking for a fine art photographer for their wedding day!
Shaun was amazing to work with! He kept the atmosphere light and fun the entire time and his personality is so down to earth. My (now) husband and I are pretty awkward when it come...
s to having our pictures taken, but Shaun gave us poses to do and directions to follow - it went very smoothly! I do not like taking pictures for extended periods of time (especially in the mid July heat!!), so he did his best keeping us in the shade, but also getting the good shots when needed. We got many vibrant colored pictures (upon my request) and a few B&W photos. They were wonderful <3 Highly recommend. (Side notes: punctual, sweet, respectful [got married in a church] knows great spots, up front about costs, extremely quick turn around time for receiving photos). ALSO, he kept getting compliments from the parents and guests at the reception. One of my cousins dropped and broke a glass on the dance floor, Shaun took his time picking up the shards and made sure no one stepped on them! 10/10 stars***
Shaun was everything you could ask for. In a stressful time, he was nothing but accommodating and helpful. His photos for the engagement and wedding were phenomenal, not to mention...
we had such a fun time hanging out and talking to him during the photoshoots. He has a strong passion for what he does and we strongly suggest letting him run the show when he has a craving for a shot! We highly suggest working with humans!! Thanks Shaun!
Shaun was very professional, extremely encouraging and a calming element to my wedding day! And most importantly, his pictures are BEAUTIFUL!

hotographer: he always finds just the right light, just the right pose to capture you at your best. He also provides you with a generous gallery of photos, all perfectly edited and curated. More than that, though, Shaun is delightful to be around. He was an unobtrusive yet fun presence at our wedding, meaning that we were able to truly relax and enjoy the time. Finally, Shaun is a friend throughout every step of the planning process: he promptly and cheerfully responds to emails and phone calls at every step of the way, and he expertly answers any questions that might arise. We are lifelong clients!

y did he take more photos than we had originally asked for, but he made sure to capture all the extra little things that we didn't even think of.
While the wedding was taking place, Shaun showed us previews of photos and once we saw the finished product we were blown away.
Shaun was super friendly and personable and we had numerous wedding guests come up to tell us how great he was.
We absolutely, 100% recommend Shaun to anyone that asks and can't thank him enough for everything!

nt out of his way {repeatedly] to go above and beyond in every capacity he could in order to ensure we were completely happy with how things turned out. Shaun's attention to detail and authenticity in the way he approaches his craft are amazing.
He's an all around great guy and can't recommended enough to friends and family.

ang out with him! Shaun made us feel comfortable and is so encouraging! Although we had a short engagement, he fit us in for a great engagement shoot ,and the pictures are Amazing! I loved all of our pictures. I am the type of person who needs lots of direction although I really love taking pictures (I love just having beautiful pictures even more). He provided advice on wardrobe, and he was open to all ideas when we could scrape some up such as including our beloved (maybe spoiled) dogs in our engagement pictures.
When the wedding day came along, it was wonderful to not worry about taking pictures or snapchatting or even thinking about documenting the day because I felt completely at ease that Shaun and his crew would capture the magic for us. His team is incredibly efficient, and even with pictures sight unseen, my family and friends complimented me on having Shaunâs team because they were so energetic and friendly! Everyone looked forward to seeing the pictures! He and his crew made us feel like models, and their special attention enhanced the magic of our day. Highly recommend!

is the pictures and I thank god that I hired Shawn because my photos are so beautiful. I seriously just look at them over and over. They are absolutely timeless. This is a high price item for your wedding but it is the most important! The wedding day went great. Shawn and his crew were impeccable. Cut costs on anything else, not this. Wedding photos are forever and are worth every penny.
Shaun was outstanding from the beginning. Very personable and flexible to your schedule. All about making your day special for you. Would definitely recommend to anyone!

rk with. From the time that I reached out to him until now he has been a joy throughout the entire wedding experience. He has helped us with venue issues, timeline changes, family dynamics, and just our overall crazy wedding. I really have no words to describe how amazing he or his work is. On top of being a PHENOMENAL person, he is the best photographer that I have had the pleasure to encounter. His shots of my fiancé and I really show the love and quirkiness of our relationship. I am SO happy that I was fortunate enough to happen upon Shaun, because my wedding day would not be complete without him. He makes me feel beautiful, my fiance feel like a stud, and our photos feel like they came out of the storybook romance every dreams of. I will always and forever recommend Shaun Malik Photography to anyone and everyone whom asks. Thank you Shaun for helping us have a perfect day. He is truly a part of our family now.
Choosing Shaun as a photographer was a no-brainer and became one of the best wedding decisions that we made. He was instrumental in our planning process, helping us get a timeline ...
for the day early on. On the wedding day we spent a good chunk of time taking planned photos before the wedding and then after the wedding the lighting was so good that Shaun couldn't help but take more photos, however, he was very mindful of our time and wanted to make sure we didn't spend too long away from our guests. We had a lot of unexpected things happen on our wedding weekend and Shaun was supportive and went above and beyond.
Shaun is an AMAZING photographer! He did our engagement photos at the Library of Congress in DC, and then our wedding in rehoboth DE. He is very kind and great to work with. Our...
wedding photos will turn out amazing, no doubt. Shaun works efficiently and effectively. He's also very respectful of what people would like done.

. Shaun helped us with the planning process and ensured we had a solid timeline in place. He helped us to stay on track and successfully managed a range of emotions from several stressed members of my party :) Our photos are phenomenal and my family and bridal party can't stop raving about Shaun. I highly, highly, highly recommend Shaun as your wedding photographer! If he's available, book him!

's personality is exactly what our wedding weekend needed. As the bride, I greatly appreciated his calm demeanor. During the more hectic parts of the day, it was refreshing to have him remind me between photos to breathe, smile and enjoy the moment. He did a great job working with our families and the wedding party and he kept the day running smoothly. We would highly recommend Shaun and look forward to working with him again in the future!

Shaun was awesome to work with on our big day. My husband and I were both running late prior to the start of the ceremony and I cannot say enough about how calm and composed Shaun...
stayed the entire day. Which, helped me stay calm throughout the day/night. He helped us get back on schedule and remain on schedule the rest of the night. He was so helpful in moving things along such as family shots, cake cutting, etc. Shaun's style of shooting was exactly what I was looking for, for our big day. Our reception space was a small loft with a lot of exposed wood and I was nervous these shots would turn out orangey/dark due to the exposed wood. Shaun and I discussed this space prior to the wedding and he did a phenomenal job at making the space look big and light. Every single picture turned out perfectly!

he amazing pictures! We also really enjoyed having him as a photographer because he made us feel relaxed and have fun! He also suffered through the rain to take our photos with umbrella in one hand and camera in the other! Our bridesmaids and groomsmen loved having him as a photographer because he was professional, funny, and hard working! Thank you so much for photographing our wedding. We highly recommend him to any other couple.
We were so happy with the way all of our photos came out! Shaun definitely knows what he is doing, and is very fun to work with! Thank you for everything!

ly for the day. Everyone loved him and people continually complimented him throughout the night. He was everywhere and captured some very special moments. Before the ceremony, both my husband and I were running late. Shaun maintained calm and even kept me calm, as he assured me that everything would be fine. He was professional yet down to earth (even danced on the dance floor a bit). He responded to all my calls and texts in a timely manner. He even took the time to meet with my husband and I at the venue the week of the wedding. He was absolutely fantastic! My mom wants to hire him for some events she has coming up! If I could do it all over again, I would still choose Shaun. You will NOT be sorry by choosing Shaun. Every shot is beautiful - both the still and action shots.

oto shoot. He even spent extra time with us to make sure we got the perfect shots, and our photos turned out perfectly. Between the engagement shoot and wedding photos, Shaun would reach out every now and then to make sure everything was going smoothly. On the wedding day, Shaun arrived early so he could map out the perfect pictures. He was so fun to be around. All of my bridesmaids and Kyle's groomsmen loved Shaun! He was a special part of our day and I received so many compliments from family members and vendors about how great Shaun was. We received teaser photos soon after the wedding (which were absolutely incredible) and then received our entire album 10 days after the wedding. Shaun has such a quick turnaround and the pictures are incredible and stunning. I plan to stay in touch in touch with Shaun and hope that we can continue working together for future life events! If you are looking for an amazing photographer, Shaun is the one for you!
