She traveled to Iowa for our wedding and even though she had NEVER seen the space, she found the most beautiful shots for photos and made me feel like I didn’t have to worry about it all. She worked with me on a timeline that worked perfectly and we had SO MUCH TIME for bride and groom portraits!!! I highly recommend taking her up on this photo time!! We got the pictures back, and just wow. Picture after picture we kept saying “this one is so good!!” and it never ended. We honestly don’t know how we’re going to choose which ones to hang on the wall. Shauna did a great job of getting us to act natural and has so many funny tips and tricks to get good shots. We felt so at ease working with her and had the best day!! Thank you again, Shauna!!! You’re the best!!

However, Shauna made it work and came up with alternative plans that turned into beautiful pictures!

Every photo she took is AMAZING and so beautiful. I had so many people tell me they were the most beautiful wedding photos they had ever seen. She is also super quick on editing your photos and getting them back to you! By the time we were home from our honeymoon (exactly 11 days after the wedding) we had our whole wedding gallery emailed to us! She also posts a blog post (after all her photography sessions) with a sneak peak of some of your photos and very sweet description of the day. I am so happy I decided to choose Shauna as my photographer and will definitely be using her again in the future!

t and you can tell she's passionate about what she does. Sean and I were able to just be ourselves during both our engagement and wedding photos, which shows so much in the finished product. Everyone who sees our pictures sees our personalities shine through, which is mostly due to Shauna's incredible ability to capture just the right moment. g this year (2018). We met with her way back in November the year before the wedding and knew right away she was a good fit for us. She was easy to talk to, had a great portfolio, and most of all she was fun to be around. She did our engagement session in the middle of winter on one of the coldest days of the year, and the photos came out beautifully, despite the fact we were all freezing! Over the year of our engagement, Shauna took the time to set out a timeline of the day to make sure we maximized our photos for the day which made my life much easier! For our wedding, Shauna and Melissa (her second shooter) did an amazing job capturing the entire day. She and Melissa split up to make sure my husband and I both got photos of us getting ready separately which were both beautiful. The timeline got completely derailed (at no fault of Shauna’s, that was a whole other issue), and Shauna did an amazing job at making sure that even though are times were cut short at certain parts of the day, we still got all the photos we wanted. She was direct and to the point, and even helped keep my very distracted bridal party on track. We had to deviate from our plan multiple times, but you would never be able to tell from the huge selection and variety of photos. She had a great mix of candid shots, and the more posed shots which is exactly what we asked for. She had about 200 photos for us to look at within a week after the wedding which was amazing. And we only had to wait just over 2 weeks to get all of our finished wedding photos. I could not be happier with the way they turned out. They are absolutely beautiful and I can’t wait to get them printed. If I had to do it all over again, I would not hesitate to choose Shauna again. She really is like having an incredibly talented friend shoot your wedding for you. You would be doing yourself a huge favor booking her for any life event you wanted photographed. When we start a family, I know I’ll be calling Shauna for all our family photo shoots!

She was also very good at getting those laughs out of you to make the pictures look so natural. wedding day, she arrived timely, and was such a breeze to work with. The whole experience was not stressful or awkward at all. Having been a bridesmaid in a few weddings myself, she was the best photographer I’ve ever worked with. Even my bridal party and family commented that she was just amazing. She made sure we stuck to the timeline, but she wasn’t extremely bossy in doing so. She was super great with the kids too. My wedding was posted on her blog within a week of the wedding and I received the gallery shortly after that, so much quicker than I expected! I highly recommend her services to everyone! Her photos are very crisp and clean, and I love how she works with natural light.

Our timeline went off a few times throughout the day and she was incredibly professional and made sure that we still got all the shots we wanted. She's great! I imagine I was quite a complicated client; full of anxiety and contacting her almost daily with questions and searching for reassurance. Before I indulged in her gift of engagement photos I hired her for a secret boudoir photoshoot. I'm a chubby, body conscious, anxiety ridden-ed person; but when I was with Shauna I was comfortable and in the end I felt BEAUTIFUL- all thanks to her! My husband LOVED this gift on the day of the wedding. It is something neither of us will ever forget! For our engagement shoot Shauna picked a gorgeous location right on Lake MI. She even drove over 3 hours to come capture our love. Her directions during the shoot were clear and direct; reducing our anxiety and posing us in natural ways. The photos are so calm, beautiful, and you can really sense our love for eachother. Her talent REALLY shined during my wedding. I did not follow her timeline that we planned together weeks in advanced (so sorry Shauna); but she was extremely flexible and still managed to capture every part of the wedding. Me, my husband, and all our family & friends are simply blown away by her talent. The photos are just breath-taking! Also, I received the photos edited and perfect TWO weeks after my wedding!!!! I think that's a photographer record... I will recommend Shauna McIver Photography every single time someone asks me if I know a photographer. I will call her when I am pregnant, when my baby is born, when I need family photos, when my children need senior photos...for everything!

She makes you feel very comfortable, helps with posing for those awkward people (me&the hubs), but yet still gets amazing candid shots as well that will be your FAV! :) She's the kindest person you'll ever meet, so you should probably just book her right now so you can meet her and see what I'm talking about!

he knows how to pose you properly which is important when you are as awkward as me but you only see magic in the prints! She is very organized and stays in good contact before the set dates asking all the right questions to be prepared.
