When I'm the DJ for an event I realize the music is the real star! I don't do a lot of unnecessary talking over the music. I make sure your wedding is about you and your needs! l" before your big day. Shawn took away a lot of that stress with a comprehensive questionnaire he had us fill out ahead of the wedding. We also sent him a list of do not play songs and vibe suggestions, but trusted him to read the room to keep the dance floor packed all night. We also really appreciated that Shawn was there to curate an enjoyable vibe -- not to hear himself talk on the microphone all night. He played a great mix of music that was suitable for guests of all ages and backgrounds, yet still felt cohesive when played one after the next. A true professional!
Our guests had a blast dancing the night away, and many of them told us how much they loved Shawn's DJing in the days following the wedding!

Shawn. He is funny, easy going, and patient. His questionnaire is very detailed and is very helpful for pulling the music together for the day. He also was very focused on making sure my now husband and I heard what we wanted to hear for the music. During the ceremony, Shawn timed the music perfectly. We saw later watching videos that he even cut the microphone out for my brother, the officiant of the wedding, when my brother almost started talking over parents walking down the aisle. Thanks for that, Shawn! Later in the night, we had other challenges with our timeline due to longer than expected speeches, too many tables to say hi to, and my own indecisiveness. Shawn handled all these obstacles very smoothly, kept an eye on the crowd and helped us stay in tune with when we needed to get the dance floor going. He played the songs we requested and helped us out with choosing songs for younger people. Since the wedding went by so quickly, I think the thing I am most grateful for is all the photos and videos he took of the night. The day was a bit of a blur and Shawn let us relive the night by sending us tons of photos and videos of everyone dancing. Thank you for that, Shawn!

The survey he sent us before the wedding covered all the bases and even gave us ideas for things to do during our wedding we hadn’t thought of, like playing the shoe game. We decided to skip and tweak a few wedding traditions that he smoothly incorporated into our wedding timeline. And most importantly, the dance floor was packed the entire night and Shawn was able to read the room play genres that got the crowd the most engaged. He even took photos and videos of everyone on the dance floor which was much appreciated since we didn’t have a videographer for our reception.

People were dancing all night and he always had a quick joke or something to say to keep things light when something didn’t go as planned.
