Shawn and his team were AWESOME. We got our teaser trailers 2 days after our wedding which was wild. He leaned into where I had ideas and we're looking forward to seeing the full video!

I could not have asked for a more perfect vendor for our wedding! Shwan Yang went above and beyond from the moment that we hired him! He was super responsive, organized, and easy to work with. He is super friendly, and made us feel so comfortable that we didn't feel awkward taking videos! On the day of the wedding, they made sure everything was taken care of, I literally didn't have to worry about a thing.

Shawn was so easy to work with on the day of our wedding even though we had never met before. Although we are camera shy, he made us feel comfortable being filmed, and his precise instructions made it easy for us to get the shots he envisioned. And he envisioned such incredible shots! Throughout the day, he'd show us the out-of-camera footage right after he shot them, and we were blown away with his creativity--he made us look like movie stars! Despite having shot so many weddings, his passion still shines through. In addition, he was very communicative leading up to the wedding, and delivered us a sneak preview the very next day--way above our expectations! We absolutely loved working with him, and would recommend him to anyone! Last but not least, here's what my husband had to say about him: "I was really skeptical about getting a videographer--we already have a photographer, so why bother? But after seeing the sneak preview, I'm definitely glad we got him."

Shawn is truly so talented. Not only is he amazing at what he does but he is an amazing person and so kind. Shawn and his team worked so hard on the day of our wedding. The moment he came in he appeared excited and eager to get started. My husband told me that the groomsmen and he had a blast while they were filming their getting-ready shoot at their suite, and Shawn was flexible with having everyone pitch in their ideas to make it more engaging. Shawn was always seen filming throughout the day. Even if he wasn’t with us, his assistant would be around us and they operated using multiple cameras to make sure we have multiple views captured throughout the night. We were really grateful that we had a chance to book with them even though it was so close to our wedding date, and it was worth every dollar spent because we had such a blast working with them and our wedding films came out beautiful! Communication with Shawn was seamless since he’s easy to talk to and was willing to work with our requests. We hope to use their service again and we highly recommend Shawn Yang Films for anyone is looking for wedding videography because the moments they’ve captured is truly timeless.

From my engagement video to my wedding video, Shawn and Allen were absolutely amazing. Not only are they fun to work with and super sweet, but the quality and creativity of their work is phenomenal. Shawn and his team did an amazing job for us. We were married about a month ago and within 2 days of our wedding, he had already created a teaser video for us to watch. Absolutely amazing and completely magical. I immediately sent it to all of my friends and family we are all dying to see the full video. Lots of videographers make wedding films like a factory product, using the same music for all the couples, using similar shots; nothing unique that could tell the couple’s stories! After browsing the Shawn’s profile, we can sense that he has passion at what he does，which is very important to us. After communicating a couple of times, he has already sensed what our personalities are, understand our expectation on our wedding and came up lots of good inspirational ideas that he can shot in our film. We had no doubt to decide to hire him. The shooting session was very fun! He explained what he wants to film and gave us detailed instructions. We don’t need to pretend anything, just being ourselves!! He is trustworthy. His taste on arty stuffs is great!! We trust him picking music and editing the film! The wedding teaser came out beyond our expectation. Our guests said your movie looks like Hollywood movie, really classy!! The short movie really killed our wedding!! It’s sooo unique and creative!! Shawn and his team were beyond my expectations. Their work speaks for itself, but when it comes to actually being with them and watching them work it’s beyond words. Absolutely a joy to be around. Shawn loves what he does and it shows. I had zero doubts our wedding video would be exceptional. Yet still when I finally got it, I could not believe how amazing it was. Shawn and his team were amazing to work with! He had multiple meetings with us before our big day to go over our vision and any special requests. He was so fun to be around the day of our wedding and made us feel so comfortable. The finished product was delivered in a timely manner and was more than we could have asked for. I would 100% recommend Shawn to anyone in the DFW area!

Shawn and his team are truly the best to work with. Not only did I not have to worry about him as the bride the whole day but my photographer now has him on her preferred list as well. Shawn and his team do not get in the way, are very respectful to other vendors and guests, and just do their thing without leaving more stress to the bride. He truly is there to do his job and not make you work harder. He knows what he needs, when and where to shoot during your busy day. Great communication leading up to the day. And above all else, amazing artistry with his gift to story tell with each video he does (that was my selling point). The only reason why this review received a 5 stars is because there wasn't a 10 star option. SHAWN YANG FILMS IS #1 !!! My husband and I INSTANTLY connected with Shawn the moment we contacted him here on theknot.com and began such a warm friendship. We planned our wedding earlier in 2020 before the major COVID-19 outbreak took place in the U.S , and was in a transition period of planning to relocate to Dallas from New York City. While in NYC, Shawn treated our long distance consultations as if we were in person laughing together having coffee. Some short months later during the raw stages of COVID-19, I endured unpredictable financial set-backs due to my job placing me on Furlough and experiencing a few months delay to receive my unemployment pay. Shawn ensured to stick by us and brought great comfort that throughout the unpredictable times we would still have an awesome wedding. His main concern was that our well-being was taken care of. Months later our big day arrived and Shawn did an awesome job. His assistant as well is so welcoming, kind and professional. Our family and friends are in love with the final wedding film and cried. Our film will be a great memory for our children, great grandchildren and generation to come. My husband and I both are honored to have Shawn be our wedding filmmaker and agree that we made THE BEST DECISION to choose him for our special day. We look forward to working with him again. BOOK HIM IMMEDIATELY before he books up!! I had my wedding at the Olana and just got my wedding video back. I can’t stop watching it! This mini movie film makes me cry no matter how many times I watch it and feels like I’m reliving my wedding day each time. Shawn captured every moment of my day and he created the video into a fairytale story from start of us getting ready to us having our grand exit. I can’t express how happy I am and totally worth the wait. Thank you sooo much Shawn!! I’ll have this 50+ years from now to reminisce on ❤️

Out of all of our vendors that we had for our wedding, Shawn and Allen are the only ones where reality exceeded expectations!! Shawn was amazing! Great communication throughout the whole planning process. He was very responsive (one of the best of all my vendors) and more importantly - he’s extremely talented! The quality of work surpassed our expectations. There were a couple of things I requested to be revised & with a willing heart, he completed it without question and returned the video within 24 hours!! His second shooter Allen, is amazing and so helpful as well. We will definitely be hiring Shawn for future events!! Highly recommend; 10/10!!

Shawn was the best decision we made for a vendor. He was very responsive to messages and phone calls. He was there earlier than expected and stay later than expected(that’s how dedicated he was to shooting our wedding). He went above and beyond to film and edit every aspect of our wedding so we will have these memories for a lifetime. I don’t really know why anyone would choose another videographer. Shawn was so amazing! He was so kind and you can really tell that he loves what he does which is so important! He was very accommodating to every request my husband and I had and was very creative with his shots. He is very professional and the best videographer I have come across! We had already put a down payment on another videographer but when we came across Shawn’s work only a month before our wedding we immediately switched and we are so glad we did!!! Shawn went above and beyond for our big day. He drove to Dripping Springs, TX from Plano,TX just for our wedding! He got up early to record me getting ready with my Bridesmaids and stayed until the end of the wedding. He made sure he captured the best moments and he made the most amazing video for us. Everyone that we show our wedding video to says it looks like a movie. The quality is amazing!!! He responds to all my inquieres in a flash, is super professional and makes sure you're happy with the end product. I cannot recommend his services enough! Such a nice guy, easy going, professional and very thoughtful; he got us a gift box with a thank you note and a cool USB drive with the wedding movie. I don't think you get this kind of thoughtfulness anywhere else.
