Discover Shawver Farm, a distinctive wedding and event venue nestled in the mountains of Richwood, West Virginia, bordering the Monongahela National Forest. As fourth generation stewards of this land the owners, and siblings, Kevin and Cindy have curated a space to complement Mother Nature. The open air, covered timberframe pavilion is the centerpiece of the venue - handcrafted and elegant, overlooking one of 10 spring fed ponds. Seating comes from 1930's oak church pews with black cushions along with black folding chairs. The gathering hall is beautifully appointed with thoughtful amenities to complement the outdoors - a light maple interior and custom dark maple tables. Even in inclement weather the gathering hall, with its glass roll up doors and long side windows, allows an amazing view while providing a comfortable environment inside. Black chiavari chairs elevate the space for the perfect pairing of natural warmth and sophistication. Finally, a bridal/honeymoon cabin, also situated pond side, provides 5 make-up stations, allowing for the perfect backdrop for pre-ceremony memories and pictures. alk across the bridge with her Dad, the ceremony at the Pavilion ending with the reception in the Gathering Hall with its rollup glass doors that allow the beauty of the venue to be enjoyed no matter what the weather might be, on a beautiful day the doors open onto a large deck, if it happens to be a cooler day you still have the beauty of the farm. The hand crafted maple tables add to the warmth of the day.
