She Bakes A Lot

We ordered cake and cookies for our wedding from Stephanie for our wedding 8/28/21. Not only was Stephanie awesome to work with (so prompt with communication!) but the cake & cookies were BEAUTIFULLY presented and delicious! We went with a three-tier cake and she worked with us to incorporate two different flavors. The champagne-strawberry is TO DIE FOR!!! So delicious! We also got the marble option which was also delicious. You can't go wrong no matter what you choose from her. Lastly, we ordered customized cookies with our new married last name on them, and the outline of my husband's country (Albania) and they were stunningly detailed with exactly what I'd asked for. I couldn't have asked for a better person to work with for our wedding cake and cookies. Thank you Stephanie!

Stephanie was absolutely wonderful to work with! She made our cake dreams come true for our wedding. I would highly recommend, not only for her beautiful work, but the cake, bars and cookies were amazing. She made two types of cake for our wedding, half of it was a chocolate chip cookie dough cake that was a hit and the other half was my favorite; she made a champagne strawberry cake that was delicious and dairy free (I have an allergy). The cookies were all hand painted and custom to our wedding theme. Everything she did for us was GORGEOUS and DELICIOUS!!

Stephanies backing is to die for! We had a 3 tiered cherry chip, strawberry champagne wedding cake with cookies, brownies, and fruit tarts for dessert. They were all SOOOOO GOOD!! Her pricing and knowledge of how much stuff we needed was perfection. She was so sweet, on time, and easy to work with. Highly recommend!!

Stephanie did a wonderful job for us! Our wedding cake was not only absolutely delicious (a 3 tier cake split between cherry cake with chocolate ganache filling and chocolate cake with strawberry filling), but it was also a work of art. She incorporated our wedding theme colors and was able to add some of the flowers from our florist as well. It was so beautiful and everyone loved it! Additionally, Stephanie was such a pleasure to work with. Great communication and enthusiasm to work with us. Lastly, the tasting she did for us was also so fun and well prepared. We left feeling excited and confident and she not only delivered, but exceed expectations! We cannot recommend She Bakes A Lot enough!! Thank you so much Stephanie!!

Stephanie is fantastic! We ordered a single-tier cake for us to cut and cupcakes for guests, and they were not only beautiful, but delicious. Our guests loved them! On top of that, Stephanie was flexible as our event date and location had to change — and she was willing to drive from Traverse City to Grand Rapids to deliver our cakes. She went above and beyond and we were so grateful that we could continue to work with her when our Traverse City wedding plans had to change. Highly recommend!

Cake not only looked beautiful it tasted absolutely amazing. Hands down one of the best cakes I’ve ever had.

My daughter was getting married out of town up by traverse city. I wasn’t familiar with any bakers but came across She Bakes a Lot. We were interested in the banana bourbon cake. We met with Stephanie and got a tester cake. It was really good. So for the wedding we ordered a large one and a large marble. Both cakes were beautiful and served more than expected. We ended up freezing the marble. The flavor on the banana bourbon far exceeded the test cake. It was amazing ! Rich banana flavor with a luscious frosting that complemented the cake perfectly. I cannot say how pleased we were with our choice. Everyone raved about it. Stephanie was a pure pleasure to work with and she actually fit in my daughters cakes on a busy weekend. I highly recommend this baker.

Stephanie made us the most beautiful wedding cake! The flavor was amazing! We got so many compliments!!! She took inspiration pictures that I sent and put everything together and the outcome was more than I could have wanted! HIGHLY RECOMMEND!

Stephanie was the best! Not only were her desserts delicious, but she is the only vendor in the area that makes mini pies. The groom (who is not a cake person) cannot wait until our 1 year anniversary so we can eat that cake again!

Stephanie is a gem!! Her cakes are so FLAVOURFUL and beautiful. I gave her a photo of the design I had in mind and she delivered 101% of everything I wanted. Her touch is simply golden and I knew before I got a chance to meet her in person, that she would be such a pleasure to work with for our big day. My husband, and a third of our wedding group is gluten intolerant, so it was amazing that she was able to do glutenfree cake - and you would have never known it was glutenfree! Everyone was raving about how delicious the cake was, as they couldnt believe how GF cake could be so rich, MOIST, and tasty (I am still getting questions on the secret ingredient and recipe for her cake!). Our wedding was in Lake Leelanau, Michigan and she had no problem delivering the cake from Traverse City. I appreciate everything about how the whole wedding planning process went with Stephanie, because she is so easy to work with, very friendly and absolutely talented. I was grateful to have found her :)

We went with Stephanie for our wedding and couldn’t be more happy with what she came up with! We had a small wedding cake and three different cupcake flavors and they were all to die for; our guests couldn’t get enough. Highly recommend :)

All I have to say is WOW! Our cake was so beautiful and delicious! We had several different flavors (the cookies and cream was my favorite!) and all of them were crowd pleasers! Stephanie was amazing to work with and helped us come up with flavors for each of the layers, and the overall design! She even had a custom cake stand made for us! She was not only affordable but by far had the best tasting cakes in town! Stop searching for anyone else to make your wedding cake, she is THE BEST!

I was first drawn to She Bakes A Lot because I could tell Stephanie could do anything, whether a small homestyle cake or a grand elegant one. Her selection of flavors also grabbed my attention. And while she would have made any flavor I could dream of, the banana cake with bourbon caramel caught my eye. I never imagined my wedding cake would be banana, and yet I can’t imagine any cake better than the one she made us. Stephanie not only delivered on looks, our cake was gorgeous, but the taste was just perfect. My husband and I literally ate the cake with our hands after the wedding, in the hotel, and even the plane ride home. It was just that good. So stop reading and give Stephanie a call, you’ll be glad you did.

Stephanie is amazing! The cake was beautiful and delicious! She has so much creativity and the fact that she makes everything from scratch and does everything by hand is unbelievable!

The cake was perfect and delicious, but in this review I want to focus on how Stephanie saved our day. We found ourselves a few weeks out from a wedding of 250 people suddenly lacking a cake. Stephanie was patient with us as we tried to figure everything out, and with very little notice, was able to craft the most beautiful cake. She paid attention to detail and the cake was not only beautiful, but delicious!We will be giving Stephanie business every opportunity we get!

Stephanie took care of all of our desserts for our wedding! Two sculpted groom’s cakes, an entire dessert buffet and a 4 tiered wedding cake. I sent photo ideas of what we were thinking and she came up with all kinds of ideas that made it perfect for us. We chose the chocolate chip flavor for our wedding cake and our guests still talk about that cake! Highly recommend.

Stephanie makes the most amazing and delicious treats you will ever taste. She made our wedding cake back in 2013 and people still mention how wonderful that cake tasted. She Bakes A Lot has made multiple cakes for my family and friends. I HIGHLY recommend Stephanie and her talents for any event.
