until an hour before my wedding. Her salon is perfect for a group of girls! We brought drinks and snacks and had the best time! Abby provided sparkling water as well as organic flavored fruit water! She cleared off space so we were able to put all of our snack out! Love how central her salon location is (right on Pearl Street Mall in downtown Boulder) and we loved that we could pop out on the block for some amazing photos!

ch is a total joke and basically says she gets paid regardless of what she does and there is zero protection for the bride in it. Abby prides herself in "not taking long" to do hair and makeup and says that she needs 30 minutes tops for each service. Well, you get what you pay for I suppose. At my hair and makeup trial, Abby spent 15 minutes on my hair, curling it in five big chunks and then putting it back in a tight side bun nothing like what I asked for. For my makeup, she didn't even take off what I already had on, threw on some eyeshadow, light eyeliner, mascara, and lip gloss and called it good. Her up-charge for airbrush is concealer only. Truly ladies, her makeup application was comparable to what I would do for myself in my CAR on the way to work in five minutes. Please do yourselves a favor and shop around before making the mistake I did. Look at photos closely before hiring your hair and makeup artist. This is truly an art, and the ladies I ended up hiring were a night and day difference from my experience with Abby. I left my (VERY EXPENSIVE) trial in tears, and then when I tried to talk to Abby about it she only made me feel worse. When I called her to say that I would only need her and not the second random girl she was bringing with her and that I only wanted her to do hair and not makeup, she said she would need to "call her financial and legal team" and let me know if that was acceptable. I could go on and on. Message me if you would like before and after pictures of my trial with Abby versus the artist I ended up going with. Bottom line, do your homework, read contracts, and do not make the huge mistake I did.

to how everything would turn out because I am a pretty low key woman when it comes to hair and makeup and I was afraid I would end up looking like someone totally different on my wedding day with too much makeup or over the top hair. I explained this to Abby right off the bat and she was super understanding and responsive to my requests. When I went to my consultation with her, all of my worries melted away! We worked together to achieve a look I loved! She even ended up helping me correct my blonde color for the big day. I saw her twice prior to the wedding and she did a full highlight and toner both times to help me get the shade of blonde that I loved. I ended up going with airbrush makeup for the big day and I cannot say enough about how amazing it looked on my skin and how well it stayed on through the July Colorado heat! My eyes looked absolutely amazing and the lip color that Abby created for me was dynamite!! I felt like an absolute queen on my wedding day. And my hair… wow!! Just wow! Abby put my hair into an absolutely stunning and romantic crown braid. It looked so soft and natural and ethereal. I also didn’t have any issues with noticing that there was hairspray in my hair- which is wonderful because who wants crunchy hair?! And, it lasted the whole night through all of the dancing! On the wedding day Abby showed up on time, was prepared to handle me and my four other bridesmaids that got their hair and makeup done too. Abby is super efficient and amazing at what she does! She stuck to our timeline that morning and even got us out the door a little early. I cannot recommend Abby enough!!

about everything that I wanted. She did a natural look on the first look day, and I think that was my favorite day. My airbrushed skin looked flawless and my classic red lip was perfect! She can also do a beautiful, natural looking contour. She was a busy gal on the wedding day but remained patient and calm with all the craziness. Her pricing is also very fair and she is so easy to work with! She is also hilarious while super professional and having her around on the wedding day was awesome.
