Five Stars: An incredible glam team, my hair survived mountain winds and a cathedral veil!
When looking for hair and makeup for our Della Terra wedding, Shear Abby was genuinely the only team I considered after reading her stellar reviews on The Knot, and she lived up to every bit of the hype! It was an investment, but worth every single penny.
I first met Abby and Bridget for my trial at her super cute salon in Boulder, and you can tell right away that she has been doing this for a long time. She handled the hair for our entire group: me, both moms, 4 bridesmaids, and 2 flower girls! My hair stayed 100% in place all night long, even through crazy mountain gusts of wind and a long cathedral-length veil. On top of her incredible skill, Abby is just fantastic energy to be around. It was so lovely chatting with her about her life and her family's upcoming move to Costa Rica!
A huge shoutout to her problem-solving skills, too: when she realized the eyelashes had been forgotten, Abby seamlessly had her husband run to the Estes Park Safeway and bring them right over so we didn't have to worry about a thing.
Abby brought on Bridget (from Edgewater) to handle our makeup, and Bridget was hands-down the ultimate hype woman! I could honestly listen to her sweet compliments all day long.
I loved my entire glam team so much. If you want a stress-free morning with amazing vibes, incredible talent, and a look that actually holds up to Colorado weather, hire Abby and Bridget!

Abby was incredible from start to finish. She nailed my trial look, but when I decided last minute that I wanted to switch things up for the big day, she rolled with it effortlessly and somehow made it even better than I imagined. She’s so talented and calm under pressure; exactly what every bride needs!
Her salon was the perfect spot for us to get ready. Abby was such a warm and welcoming host. It was the perfect morning with friends, just getting glammed up and having fun before the ceremony.
If you’re looking for someone who’s not only insanely skilled but also kind, flexible, and genuinely invested in making your day special, Abby is your girl. I can’t recommend her enough! She made me, my mom, and my bridesmaid feel beautiful and confident all day long.

After my trial, I looked through the photos and realized there were a few aspects of my hair I wasn’t happy with. I reached out to see if we could make some changes, but instead of a collaborative or open response, I felt like I had upset her just by offering feedback. She was frustrated that I hadn’t spoken up during the trial — and while I understand that, sometimes it takes a bit of reflection to pinpoint what you don't like. That’s the purpose of a trial, after all. The experience made me feel like my preferences didn’t really matter and I was just another bride to check off her list. The whole exchange felt transactional rather than personal.
Ultimately, I made the stressful decision to find a new stylist for myself just weeks before the wedding, which I think says a lot.
Abby still did hair and makeup for my friend, mom, mother-in-law, and officiant because I had already signed the contract with her. Unfortunately, all of them ended up needing to redo both services later that same day because the looks didn’t last beyond a few hours.
If you want to feel comfortable & prioritized on your wedding day, I’d strongly recommend looking elsewhere.

Later, you requested a complimentary second run-through, which is not something I typically offer. However, I did extend a discounted rate, as I do for any client who wants an additional trial.
Regarding your comments about your friends' and family's hair and makeup not lasting, I take great pride in my work and the products I use. Having worked with over 1,000 wedding parties, my goal is always to ensure that everyone looks and feels their best throughout the entire day.
I'm genuinely sorry to hear that you were unhappy and that you felt the need to publicly criticize my small business in this way. I wish you all the best moving forward.

ng as we worked with her leading up to the day. We were able to schedule hair/makeup trials prior to the wedding, and Abby took pictures and notes so that the day of the wedding she was prepared. Abby worked quick but did not lack quality at all! She came to our house and was a warm presence on the day of. If you’re looking for a professional to make you feel beautiful and confident for any event, then I would highly recommend scheduling with Abby.

ause of them! My look lasted all day and night, my friends couldn't believe how good my makeup was looking by the end of a long night dancing. Abby is very detail oriented, she makes sure to write down lots of notes during your trial and gives you a clear timeline to work from for the big day. I'd recommend her to anyone who asks!

really pretty and better than I’d ever imagined. I also don’t wear a ton of make up, and my makeup was natural and stunning on wedding day. She also did my mom and sister’s hair and makeup, and they both looked fabulous. Abby is amazing, I couldn’t recommend her highly enough.

e heard my need to want to look super natural and I left feeling completely like myself; but with the perfect amount of extra glow that I wanted for our wedding.
On the wedding day itself Abby was prompt, communicative, and so easy going with the flow of our morning. Everyone in our wedding party looked stunning and also felt like themselves. I so appreciated Abby's bubbly personality, the connections we made through getting to know each other, and the way she was super open to feedback if someone needed any form of adjusting.
Because we are a COVID wedding and we get to do the celebration twice now; I am definitely going to be using Abby to be sure I feel just as beautiful the second time as I did the first go around :)

myself look more beautiful. Hire this company. Abby has it together when it comes to hair and makeup. She put a schedule together for us and her assistant and the timing was perfect. I went in for a run through before and was worried because I had a few other elsewhere that were not good. Abby seriously was amazing. She is sweet and so knowledgable on everything wedding! She even recommended the best florist!
