ul! I had a huge zit that Bella was easily able to cover; I can't tell it is there in any of my photos. The communication with Tina for the trial and wedding day was also very flawless. I appreciate her calling and answering my questions instead of relying on email. I also felt like the conversations after the trial were very open - I felt comfortable changing my mind from my initial ideas and going over that with Tina. The only thing I want to mention is that some of the emails directly from the team would go to my spam folder, so I did miss a few messages. Thankfully I had Tina's number so it was never a problem. Would certainly recommend to friends and family in the future!

My trial run was absolutely incredible, Ebony did my makeup and Brittany did my hair, and they both pulled up plenty of pictures and asked for my feedback along the way. The weekend of my wedding, they made the drive the night before to do spray tans for myself, some bridesmaids, and my husband, and everyoneeee complimented us on them saying it looked so natural. Then the big day! They arrived on time, set up, and got to work. Everyone was so professional, polite, and fun! The vibe was fantastic all morning long. A few bridesmaids wanted glam, a few wanted natural, and everything else in between, and the hair and makeup artists nailed every look. Everyone was so happy and felt so beautiful for the big day. I also went to their salon, Bombshell Beauty Bar, for my spray tan (by Faith) for my bridal shower and wedding weekend and it was fantastic. Would absolutely recommend.

As an introvert, I struggle coming out of my shell around new people, and, while I felt comfortable and welcome, I felt no pressure to chat. Both girls did an excellent job and I felt beautiful and bridal. They were prompt, attentive, and supportive. I took one star away only because of how difficult it was to schedule my trial. While we eventually got things sorted out, I had to be very persistent about communicating in order to get a response from management. Overall, however, I had a great experience!

The price is a little high, but completely worth it. Tina made herself available throughout the entire process to advocate for me and what I wanted. Overall, I highly recommend!

ind! With that being said, the level of professionalism left a lot to be desired. Upon arrival, without even a hello first, the makeup artist started complaining about the size of the room in which we were getting ready. She then proceeded to scoff as she set up as if we were inconveniencing her. My bridesmaids and I were being very accommodating, going as far as removing items that the venue had in the room so that she had more space. During the makeup of the first person, the artist set her drink on the table attached to the client chair and the bridesmaid accidentally bumped it with her arm causing it to fall. Although the bridesmaid was apologetic, the artist became very flustered and attitudinal. Unfortunately, the poor attitude of the makeup artist made everyone very uncomfortable and brought down the mood of the day. I wish that the experience had been different, because the makeup was beautiful, but instead it left me, the bride, extremely embarrassed having hired her. To all future brides, keep in mind that you are not aware of who you will be getting for your makeup upon hiring the artist, only the level. So, if your main concern on the day of your wedding is good makeup and you are not bothered by poor attitude on the artists’ behalf, then go for it because the makeup was truly beautiful!

ose to go with this company, you will be in great hands if you can get her. I didn’t have to change a thing, her work was perfection. Onto the rest: Truly horrible experience. I started out with a completely different stylist named Ashley M. She was given 2 different trials because the first was so awful. The second one was better, but still very rushed and far off from my reasonable expectations. There was no consultation from the stylist to try and help figure out a better direction/suggestions of what I might like better. This “stylist” also has no portfolio of work anywhere to be found on social media. Red flag. I asked to see photos of her work when she was assigned to me and I was told she’s been off for some time with her kids and there was “nothing recent”. Abby R was a totally different experience, she was very thorough, and consulted and suggested every step of the way. She spent as much time with me as was needed to make sure I left my trial happy and confident that I would look good on my wedding day. She also has countless photos reflecting her work and actually also runs her own business. After the 2nd trial I told Shear Hotness I refused to let Ashley do my hair. They were very insensitive to what I was experiencing, and after asking when I would know what’s going on (17 days from wedding), they told me they would contact me when they had answers. They made me feel like a nuisance for having better expectations for the price I was paying for their services. I was also told by the owner multiple times in person that she would not cover additional costs the new stylist would be bringing to the table and that my extra trials were “coming out of her pocket”. As they should? As a business owner, it should have been embarrassing what was done to my hair and a pleasure to correct. Not shoved in my face. Makeup: I did not love my trial but it also wasn’t bad. I had things I wanted changed and assumed that would help Bella achieve my look. Come the day of my wedding, it was WORSE than my trial. I have never looked so orange. I was also greasy because a product that I asked not be used again after my trial BECAUSE it made me greasy, was used again. I sent very thorough feedback as they asked me to, and I felt like it was blown off. I asked them to tone it down on my eyebrows because I don’t like them very dark and I like them blended…. they were dark and not blended come wedding day. The artist tried to fix everything and it was messy. I said it looked fine so she would just finish up and I could get upstairs and fix everything. The only thing I did not change was the eyeshadow that was on my eyelids and my fake lashes. I had to wipe off and redo the rest. I thankfully looked really nice after that. It obvious that my makeup was different than what the artist did, but they still shared my wedding photos. I messaged them to make sure they understood that was not their makeup artist’s work they were giving credit for. My advice is to not work with this company. They lock you into a 50% deposit to secure the date and then tell you they don’t want to do a trial until 4-6 weeks out from the wedding. They have your card on file, and by that point you’re responsible for paying full payment whether you cancel or not. I am sad I was scammed by this company.

e all still looked like ourselves. The makeup photographed so beautifully and stayed on all day through lots of laughter, sweat, and tears. Tina was so great and easy to work with as well. Highly recommend the Shear Hotness team for your wedding or special event makeup!

They had a system prepared and they did not stray lol. They were amazing and I would hire them again in a heartbeat. All my girls loved their hair and makeup too.

ed as she was unlicensed at the time of my trial (4/9/22). She used Maybelline foundation and drug store concealer. Not against drug store products at all, but surprised for how much money I was paying ($100 for makeup trial) and the contract said “high end products.” I ended up not liking my makeup look. I felt very washed out and pale. I explained that I wanted a more bronzed look since I would have a spray tan on my wedding day. She was very kind to me and was willing to make corrections. Once I got to Brittany for hair, she was rushed. I tried to make suggestions, but she did not have time to make changes (due to a client waiting) but again, she was very nice to me and professional. I was left disappointed that I paid $100 for a rushed hair trial and I was unable to get the full vision of my wedding hair. After the trial, they have you go into an office to talk about your experience with Tina. I told Tina that I would like another trial so I can have a better idea about what I will look like my wedding day. Tina said that I was given a “fair hair and makeup trial” and if I want another one then I would have to pay for it. Shortly after, Ebony (the owner) came into the office and talked to Tina as if I was not sitting there explaining that people do not understand that the face color needs to match the neck. At first I did not think she was talking about me because she was very expressive with an attitude and talking with her hands… until she looked at me and told me that I can go home and put my foundation on my face and see how it looks… in reference to me telling the MUA that I wanted a more bronzed look. I was appalled. Ebony then asks to see my phone with my inspo photo and put it on top of her phone with a photo of me to compare and said that my skin tone does not match the photo. I felt like I was being mocked. I understand that the face and the neck need to match in color. I was simply explaining that I am usually more tan and will be my wedding day. Completely shocked, I told Ebony and Tina that I was so thrown off by what was happening and I started sobbing. I was not crying because of my hair and makeup, I was crying because of how Tina and Ebony were talking to me. I was not met with compassion or empathy as I sat there and cried for an hour and a half. They just blankly stared at me with a flat affect. I was told how normal it is to cry during a trial. I am still shocked at how I was talked to and treated given that I was a paying customer, let alone the bride, that anticipated spending $1,600+ in services. Under NO circumstances was that appropriate or “normal.” At the end, Ebony said I could do another trial. There was no way I was going to return to a salon where I felt totally disrespected and the experience left me with anxiety. There are multiple bad reviews on Bombshell Beauty Bar’s Google/FB page with Ebony’s responses that I wish I would have read before booking. Brides, do not sign a contract with Shear Hotness as you have to pay 50% of services up front. I unfortunately lost over $600+ in services that I never received, but honestly I would have done whatever I needed to as long as I did not have to deal with the unprofessionalism of this owner/salon ever again. BOUGHT a new foundation after doing research on how to get my oily skin to cooperate. In total, we had two makeup artists and two hair stylists for my 8 bridesmaids and my husband and I's mothers, so 11 of us, and they got us all in and out of there in no time, while looking absolutely AMAZING afterwards. Like I didn't even want to wash my face that night it looked so good. And my hair kept it's curl until literally 3 days after - in the best way possible. The gals were all super fun to talk with and really added to the getting ready atmosphere - it was like having 4 more bridesmaids!

They all showed up early to setup even though we had an early morning and they made us all feel so beautiful while they helped us get all glammed up! Jen and Courtney were able to make each girls makeup how they liked! Jen especially was able to take notes from my bridal trial to change a few things for the day of and I loved my overall bridal look! Brittany did my hair for the wedding, and she did an amazing job! I loved how it looked with my wedding dress and how she was able to help me put my veil in and showed my bridesmaids how to take it out without messing up my hair! Courtney also did some amazing and intricate hair styles of a few of the bridesmaids which looked great. Overall working with Shear Hotness was an amazing decision and I'm so thankful for how beautiful they made myself and all of my bridesmaids for one of the most special days! Ebony and Tina were also amazing to work with and were helpful in answering questions that I had within the last few weeks leading up to the wedding! Will definitely be recommending Shear Hotness to my friends & family for future weddings! Thanks again!

That's how you want to feel on your wedding day, no stress and certainty that you'll look gorgeous. I was very impressed with Stephen who did my hair and 7 other girls so quickly!!! Both artists were enjoyable and fun to hang out with on the most important morning of my life. Do yourself a favor and book Shear Hotness ASAP! I cannot stop raving about this awesome experience with them.

a super busy year for all wedding vendors it wasn’t as bad as it could have been and they still gave me excellent customer service it was just very delayed. The hair and makeup I received was exactly what I pictured. I had a hard time really explaining what I wanted but they were very patient with me and gave me exactly what I wanted. They stuck to schedule and we were actually finished early which allowed us to start pictures early and for the whole day to go smoother! Highly recommend booking with them!!

the beginning, Tina made me feel comfortable and like the artists at Shear Hotness would really work with me to make sure I looked beautiful and felt confident on my wedding day. The week of my wedding, one of the artists who was originally supposed to help with some of my bridesmaids got sick. Tina immediately came up with a new plan to make sure we were all covered, and called me to walk through all of the details and make sure I felt comfortable. The wedding day went so smoothly. I was nervous about being finished on time since we had 10 women getting their hair and makeup down, but we were actually done almost an hour ahead of schedule. Abby did everyone's hair. Bella did makeup for me and the bridesmaids, and Sable did makeup for the moms, sister, and grandma. Everyone loved how they looked. So glad I was able to work with this team!

early on the wedding day, and overall had a friendly demeanor and put together some beautiful looks. Cons: Just about everything else. Communication with Tina was excellent to start - up until I made the first deposit (half the total amount) to officially book. From there, specifically after that check was cashed, complete radio silence. Any questions I had either got no response, or took WEEKS of waiting, ultimately requiring a frustrated phone call from me to get any response. And when I would finally get a response, it was met with very patronizing language, telling me I needed to be more patient and understanding. Mind you, I wasn't following up daily, I would send a text to Tina as instructed and would wait at least 5 days before following up, and had maybe 3-4 requests in the span of the 9 months from booking with them to my wedding date. Aside from the lack of communication (including getting the trial scheduled) - the trial itself was not what I expected. I arrived 5 minutes early and walked into the salon, only to be stared at by an in-progress trial, no greeting. I sat and waited, 10 minutes past my trial start time, and ended up having to interrupt someone's trial to ask how I alert my stylists I was there. We started with makeup (I went with the lowest level package) and though I sent through my inspiration photos, my stylist hadn't seen them, so I needed to pull them back up. Hair stylist was the same, had no reference to what I wanted though I provided the photo in advance. Overall I liked my finished look, though my makeup artist missed putting on any mascara, only lashes, and my hair curls were falling out by the time I left the salon. Concerning, but I figured the wedding day would have more attention to detail, so I didn't stress it. Wedding Day - I texted Tina my hotel room number where the stylists would need to meet on the wedding day, this was never communicated to the stylists. They each individually called me the morning of the wedding to arrange where to meet me, which while I appreciate that they were early, it was added stress on me to re-communicate that information. Tina had sent a day-of timing schedule (though it was delayed days beyond when she told me it would come, which wasn't surprising at this point.) and unfortunately it seems the stylists weren't up to speed on it. I (the bride) was keeping track of timing, and making sure I was being seated and the makeup started as close to the schedule as I could. By the end, my hair was rushed because we were strapped for time, and my hair stylist almost left before attaching my veil. Myself and my bridesmaids were ready and started exactly on time per the schedule, so i'm still not sure how we were so delayed. As far as the look, my makeup artist ended up re-asking me all the details we discussed at our trial, though she had written them down during the trial but didn't bring that with her, which was frustrating. The makeup was pretty overall, though the foundation wasn't blended with my neck and is visible in photos. The hair was pretty, though the hairpiece used to pull my hair back ended up partially over my ear. I think my stylists spent more time on my bridesmaids and sadly missed these details because of it. Hindsight - I really wish I booked makeup and hair elsewhere.

reputable places I could find. I did use the cheapest option as far as experience level. They were a little poor with communication overall. I believe the woman I was communicating with was some sort of administration position. Really took her a long time to respond to texts. The day I had my trial the makeup artist did not have the colors I wanted for eye shadow with her. I had communicated to the contact I mentioned, Tina, what color I wanted. I don’t know if this was communicated to the artist, but why not bring all colors you have to a trial? Trial was fine otherwise and I was happy with how things turned out. I asked that day about getting a spray tan. My wedding was 3 weeks out at this point. Tina said she would send me the info, but I wondered why not just book me right then. I waited a few days for info and followed up when not received. They were booked for the time/day I needed at that point and I got my spray tan from someone else. Day of wedding everything was smooth and my bridesmaids looked beautiful. Makeup artist was a little slow and fell behind schedule. I did end up loving the look, even better than trial.

We all seriously had so much fun hanging out with you that day. I wish you could have come to the wedding! My mom and bridesmaids loved their looks as well & were so happy with the final outcome. All three of you truly made my day. I cannot thank you enough.

Not to mention, Tina helped make the experience special by bringing me a mimosa during the trial. On the day of, Sable & Savannah joined to take care of 10 bridesmaids, 3 flower girls, and 2 mothers. With that big of a party, we figured we would be behind schedule - but nope! These four had us AHEAD of schedule! They were so fun and everyone looked beautiful. And I have to give another shout out to Abby & Marissa because I felt so beautiful on my wedding day - even better than the trial. I can't thank them enough for their hard work on my wedding day! THANK YOU ALL! ❤

ey were both so accommodating (along with Tina, who created the schedule) with my constant add on services (they did hair and makeup for 14 women) and even agreed to come earlier in the morning (before 8 am) so that we could all get to the venue on time. All the artists are extremely welcoming and are so easy to talk to, there was never a dull moment and they made getting ready really fun and calmed my nerves. They also are extremely flexible and can make any last minute changes for hair/makeup on your wedding day, even if you decide day of your event. On top of that, my bridesmaids and I looked absolutely stunning and everyone loved their look. I cannot recommend them enough!
