take it as an opportunity to show our appreciation to our clients as well as a learning experience for myself, my staff and our studio. Your review, however is unique, as our situation was unique, and I feel compelled to express my perspective along with the facts of the complaints you have shared. Due to the dynamic between you and I, what conspired during the course of your event and thereafter, the review is not a surprise. One thing I do need to make clear, I will always take accountability for my mistakes, mishaps or wrongdoings. However, accusations were made that I will not take accountability for and will be stated below: - Being 15-30 minutes late – This is simply untrue. Due to the remote location of your event, not living in the area and relying on Google Maps, we unfortunately were brought to the wrong location, which put us at arriving on time. Once we realized we were at the wrong location, a number of attempts were made to call you in regards to this situation, as we were not sure exactly where the venue was located, but again, due to the rural area, cell phone signal was not optimal, therefore delaying us from arriving on our contracted start time. Once the venue was found, we were about 15 minutes late from our start time. After informing you of what had happened, we offered to stay an extra 15 minutes after our end time. It was also noted to myself and my assistant that other guests were having difficulty as well finding the venue. Which is not unheard of for the area. - Argument after the ceremony regarding the Videographer – This is also an untrue statement. Due to circumstances beyond my control, I was informed at the last minute that my videographer was not going to be able to attend. Because of this short notice, we were unable to find a replacement. It was mentioned at the time that I had “forgotten” about the videographer, which is also untrue. My assistant and I took matters into our hands and were shooting both video and stills shots to try and resolve this issue as best we could. This was made clear during our conversation in hopes to reassure you that you will be receiving what was contracted, which was a high light video. - Blurry, off center photos, and other complaints – In one of our many conversations, you stated that you really liked the majority of the pictures your received. It was understood that about a dozen of the pictures were not to your liking and further conversations were made to which pictures they were and how they can be fixed, to which attempts were made to, in fact, fix them. I understand you were still not satisfied and continued to become upset. Given the fact of your current situation your stress level was becoming too high so you stated you no longer wished to continue communication with me, you opted to have your mother handle it from there. - Editing – Editing is a personal taste. Prior to hiring me, you have hundreds of pictures to look at to see my style of editing to which you liked. Unfortunately, in the end, you were not pleased with the editing on a selected few and expressed that displeasure, but my style is my brand and cannot be changed. It is my #1 priority to not only supply amazing photos for my clients but also provide impeccable customer service and help ease an already stressful day. The dissatisfaction you have expressed was noted and taking seriously, which is why I felt it right to rectify the situation with the following: - Complete compensation for the entire video - Complete compensation for the videographer that was not present - Edited photos (562 in total) - All raw files of photos (2, 275 in total, which is a charge if clients wish to obtain raw images, however I did not charge) - Edited high light video - All raw videos (82 in total, which is also a charge to clients if they wish to obtain raw video to which I also did not charge) - USB Drive - Compensation for half of my editing time (which is never compensated for) As it states in my contract, the timeline to when pictures will be ready depends on workload. You received your pictures 2 days late from our contracted time. It truly saddens me that your experience with us was not to your satisfaction. I truly feel that I have gone above and beyond to try and right the wrongs you feel were done. Once communication was halted, it was a challenge to try and resolve this matter in a timely fashion. Unfortunately, the experience that you and I both share was not greatly received and for that I am truly apologetic. I do wish you well and I do hope moving forward that you and your husband have an amazing life and the start of a brand new family.
